Emily smiled and returned the kiss. "I'll be sure to remind you, because I'm never leaving your side. I can't."

Vincent looked at her and felt his heart lift. She could make him feel like he was floating. On impulse, he blurted out, "Emily, will you marry me?"

Emily's eyes slightly wided and she felt like her heart was going to beat out of her chest. She tried to say yes, but nothing came out. Emily smiled and hugged him and she finally got out "yes," in a whisper.

Vincent hugged her back, breathing in the smell of her hair. After a moment, he pulled back slightly and kissed her again. "Awesome!" he said. "As soon as I can walk down the aisle, we'll get married. Sound good to you?"

Emily smiled and nodded. "Sounds like a plan to me. In the morning, I'll leave a little early, because I need to go take a shower and change clothes before I go to the trial. So I'll just meet you there in the morning."

"OK," Vincent said. He smiled and reached for the glass by the bed. "I guess I should take my potion now, huh?" He took a sip. "So tell me, what else has been going on? Have I missed anything?"

"Well, no you haven't really missed anything. I just kicked some guy out of the Hog's Head for trying to beat up a little girl. She had a few broken bones, but I healed her up with no problem. And I hired a man named Zander Smith. He's running the place while I'm here and while I'm at the trial. Other than that, I don't really think you've missed anything," said Emily.

"Some guy beat up a little girl?" Vincent repeated in disgust. "Who would do something like that? Well, I'm glad you were there to help her. As for Zander, I've met him before. He was an Auror trainee before he was bitten by a werewolf. He's a good man; troubled, but good. Thanks for giving him a chance. I think you can trust him. I heard he started running with Greyback's pack, but from what I heard, he didn't exactly fit in." He finished his potion and set the glass down. "You know I never thought I'd say this, but I actually miss working at the old Hog's Head."

Emily laughed. "Well, McGee came in looking for 'Tubby'," she said with laughter. "I just told him 'Tubby' was uh, currently disabled from working and uh, I was just looking things over for him."

Vincent burst out laughing. "Old Evil McGee, huh?" he said. "Man, that guy never gives up. I tried changing to a different disguise for a while, and he kept coming in asking for the other one. I really hate that disguise, but I'm afraid I might be stuck with it, as long as McGee's alive. And that guy's just too old and evil to die."

Emily laughed again. "How old is he excatly? He looks old enough to be my 2nd Great grandfather, if not my 3rd." She smiled. "You know, that disguse isn't as bad looking as you think," said Emily with a playful grin.

He shrugged. "I have no idea how old that guy is. I'm betting he's older than Nicolas Flamel!" He kissed her. "Really? You kinda like the disguise? You know, I've got others...." He winked at her.

Emily looked shocked. "Others?" she said trying not to laugh. "Really now? I'm just going to have to fight them off, not aren't I?" she said kissing him and grinning.

He smiled. "No, not necessarily. But I do use some of them in my work. I can also make small changes, like changing the size of my nose..." He paused and changed his nose to a large, pointy nose with flaring nostrils, "or the color of my hair." He paused again and made his hair look bleached-blonde. "So what do you think? Do I look good as a blonde?"

Emily laughed. "Honestly, blond isn't really your color. Maybe jet black is. And nice nose," she said laughing.

Vincent laughed and turned back to his usual self. "Yeah, I didn't think I would look good as a blonde," he said. He laughed. "I'm glad you're back, Emily."

Emily smiled again. "I'm glad I'm back too. If it wasn't for Isabella, I dunno if I would have came now. But I'm glad she did come by."

Vincent shook his head. "Well, I should have known Isabella wouldn't let things stay like this. When you're in a happy couple, you kinda want everyone else to be happy, too. I'm glad Voltaire decided to take me out to lunch, even if I didn't actually end up spending much time with him. I really needed to get out of here, anyway."

Emily smiled. "Well, maybe, after the trial is over, we could go out for lunch or something since we haven't been."

"I'd like that," Vincent said. "I just hope the trial doesn't go on too long. That girl needs to be able to get on with her life. I wonder if she's still having memory problems." He frowned. "Oh, and by the way, Voltaire told me he's been having some memory problems, too. Ever since he was tortured by Voldemort. He's pretty worried about it, but he doesn't want Isabella to know."
