Diana adjusted the straps on her costume one last time, then leaned over to pull her thigh high stockings and attach them to the garter belt she wore. There was a small part of her that was anticipating Christian's reaction to her attire, but then she knew he'd also be upset that she was going int battle wearing very, very little.
She grabbed a long trench coat from the closet and put it on before making her way down stairs.
She left the coat open on purpose, "Hiya Stranger." she purred the familiar greeting.

Christian sat anxiously on the sofa, strumming his fingers on the armrest. He had hoped having a go with Diana would quell his uneasiness, but if anything it intensified the sensation. They were heading in blind and Diana...
He turned at her sultry voice, his lips curling as he took her in. But in an instant he was frowning. "I don't like this, Diana," he said, rising to meet her. They had no idea what they were walking into, Diana was essentially going in as bait, Derek would be there, she wasn't dressed for a fight, and now Christian suddenly realized that Diana would be wearing that to meet a man who was expecting a whore. The caveman inside him wanted to claim her as his own and drag her back to his cave. The professional in him wanted to wait and formulate a more detailed plan. He couldn't remember the last time he had been so apprehensive about a job.

She grinned when he began to smile, and sighed when he voiced concern. It wasn't her ideal situation either, though a part of her did enjoy what she was doing, she wasn't about to share that information with Christian though.
"It's the only way." she told him calmly. They both knew it was true otherwise Christian wouldn't have let her go in.
There was a tapping on the window, "Derek's owl. We've got a location."

Christian wanted to protest more but they were out of time. He opened the window and let the owl inside where it dropped Derek's letter and flew off. They had an address. There was no more time to prepare. Before they left the house, Christian looked sternly at Diana. "Do not make a move until Burke and I get there! I mean it, Diana. You stall, just like Burke told you. Stall and for the love of Merlin, keep your bloody clothes on!" What little clothes she had, at least. At any other time Christian would have ravaged her in a getup like that, but now it made him anxious.
They apparated several blocks away from the warehouse, in case there were enchantments around the location that would give them away. The streetlamps were already on, and the sun was nearly set. Everything seemed a different shade of grey as they walked in relative silence. Finally they had arrived.

Diana was silent. Ordinarily she would have told him not to order her around, but she couldn't find the words this time. She followed him to the meet point in silent contemplation. They still hadn't discussed what he said, not that they needed to. But she was going into a dangerous situation, it was a very real possibility that she wouldn't come out.
Derek was waiting for them in the shadows, and revealed himself when they approached. "He's inside." he said in a hushed tone.
Diana nodded. She took her wand from her pocket and gave it to Christian, "Hold on to this for me will you?" she had a light teasing tone, but they all knew how Diana felt about not having her wand. Still the girls that went to Sanchez didn't carry weapons. Luckily for Diana, she was a weapon without a wand.

He took her wand and pocketed it as he forced himself to focus. Diana had a tracking spell on her so that he and Burke could follow her where ever the portkey took her. But she would be alone until they arrived. Christian forced himself to remember that Diana could hold her own, even without her wand. He couldn't worry about how insufferably stupid this plan was. He needed his mind clear for what they were about to do.
"Be careful," he warned in an authoritative tone.

Her hand lingered on his as he took her wand and she looked up at him with something akin to tenderness on her face.
She looked at Derek, "Take care of this one while I'm gone." she teased. They were both so solemn and worried, it made Diana's chest tighten to think that she had created such strong relationships. She didn't want to hurt them if anything should happen to her, and she realized she'd be quite devastated if anything should happen to either of them too. She turned back toward Christian, and while she wasn't too keen on the whole sentimentality scale she leaned upward and against him, she gave him a brief kiss, "Hurry up, you know I don't like waiting." she rested her forehead against his for a moment, before turning away from both of them and walking toward the entrance of the warehouse.

Christian watched her walk away and once she was out of earshot he turned toward Derek. "You had better pray this works out, Burke, or it's your head."

Derek observed them quietly, marveling at the closeness between the pair. It surprised Derek. It was so completely contrasting of both their characters, but they had found one another and it was clear how much they cared for one another.
Derek rose an eyebrow at Christian's warning.
Diana took a breath then wore a blank expression as she entered the warehouse and met the man there. He took a long glance at her from head to toe, then seeming satisfied reached in his back pocket, but what he pulled out wasn't a portkey. It was a pair of handcuffs.
Diana kept her expression aloof, but inwardly there was a panic.
"Boss is taking precautions." he said with a leer as he grabbed her wrists.
Derek was surprised by the cuffs, "Sanchez must have found out about Hadelman."
Diana looked back toward the door where Derek and Christian were waiting. She shook her head no when the man wasn't looking.

Christian didn't acknowledge Derek's comment. He watched intently as the brute cuffed Diana, Christian's grip tightening around the wand in his pocket at the same time. Sanchez was taking extra precautions, that meant he was scared. Scared men made mistakes.
Diana shook her head at them, but Christian had no intention of moving in just yet. Diana was well aware of the risks she was taking on. She likely didn't expect to be handcuffed, but she was strong. Short of mortal danger, Christian wouldn't act until Diana had taken the portkey and the tracking spell signaled them to move.

"You're a pretty one." the man said. Diana was intrigued, though she didn't show it. Clearly this wasn't a random delivery boy. Whoever this was, he worked for Sanchez.
He sighed and looked at her with pity. He had been sent in person to pick up the "merchandise" before they switched locations again. Hadelman had been confirmed as dead and Sanchez was frightened. He was taking this last girl and keeping her until he could form a new alliance.
He reached in his other pocket and pulled out a leather glove. He grabbed Diana and in the next moment they were gone.

They were too far away to hear what the man was saying, but Diana appeared calm and sedated. The portkey was a glove, and within seconds the brute and Diana were gone. Christian waited. They would be signaled any second now. As soon as Diana's feet landed on the ground, they'd know exactly where she was. Christian waited silently. Several seconds passed and still nothing. Something was wrong.

The spinning made Diana sicker than usual, but that she attributed to her nerves. Christian was right, this was a helter skelter plan and Diana was virtually helpless. She pulled back on the guard holding her arm "Wait, my heel." she said giving him a quick smile.
She was stalling as she bent down and examined her purposefully broken shoe, "Damn...hey look big guy, can you loosen these just a bit? I'm in lingerie, really I'm no threat to anyone."
He looked around. There were no other guards in the room, he leaned down and loosened her cuffs.
"Thanks." she said moments before headbutting him and thrusting her knuckles into his exposed windpipe, she spun around and used her momentum to kick him to the back of his head and knock him out. She caught him, or tried to catch him as he started to fall to keep the noise down, but the man was easily twice her size. She made a straining noise as she dragged him behind some crates.
Where the hell was she? She could see the sky and smell the crisp salty air. "The ocean." she concluded. Now were was her backup?

A minute had already passed and still there was no signal. Christian turned to Derek. "Something's wrong. She should have made it there by now." He moved slowly into the warehouse where Diana and the guard had just vanished, looking for clues that might help lead them to Diana and Sanchez. He knelt down and examined the floor where the man had been waiting. Nothing. No visible traces of organic matter. The floor was immaculately clean for being a warehouse - Sanchez had the place scrubbed beforehand.
It had been two and a half minutes since Diana vanished, and still no signal. Christian expected Sanchez might be using anti-tracking hexes, and with no signal regarding Diana's whereabouts it appeared Christian was correct. It was moderately concerning, however Christian always had a backup plan - even for half-cocked suicide missions such as this one. After Derek had left to replace his contact and Christian and Diana rushed to share some final moments together, Christian put together a fail-safe. While Diana changed into her alluring undercover attire, Christian worked on a Taboo.
The Dark Lord had used the Taboo Curse before and Christian had seen how effective it had been. Once cursed, a key word will trigger a warning to the caster alerting him of the speaker's location. Taboos were powerful enough to knock down most security enchantments. The trouble was choosing the word, for once the word was cursed it would alert him to anyone in the world who uttered it. To be safe, he had to be creative.
Christian had drilled Diana before they left his house to meet Burke.
"Say it again," he demanded.
"Cigam," she replied, clearly annoyed but still maintaining the eerie calm that she had adopted since their meeting with Burke.
Christian stood from the warehouse floor and turned to Derek. "He's using anti-tracking hexes," he said aloud, though Burke had already figured out as much. Now Diana needed to realize it and say the cursed word. Again, Christian waited.

She waited a few minutes, but realized something was wrong. Sanchez had taken so many precautions it was obvious now that he had anti-tracking magic as well to keep his location safe. Diana clenched her fists as she realized the men weren't on their way.
They had another fail safe, a word that would break through the protective barrier and alert Christian to her presence. She just parted her lips to speak when she was spotted.
"Damn idiot can't follow directions. He was supposed to escort you." A man said walking toward her, behind him were three others. Diana was outnumbered and weaponless. She had faced worse odds, but she wasn't too happy with the way the night was going.
"He handed me this glove and well...here I am." she said curling her lips in a smile, she undid the knot at her waist and opened her trench coat leaving her considerable assets on display. She posed a hand on her hip, knowing the kind of power she held as a woman. "Now, which one of you is my date this evening?" she purred.
They were silent still looking at her. "Hmm.." she said pursing her lips to the side then sauntered towards them, she walked past each one looking them each in the eye and admiring them as though they were for her pleasure, rather than her for theirs.
Why did Christian have to pick a word that no one ever used. Magic backwards. It was bloody ridiculous.
One of the men seemed to shake out of the spell Diana was casting over them with her body, "The boss, he's this way."
Diana was just about to follow when a groan emerged from the crates.
Diana swallowed as the leader seemed to turn to one of the men, "Go Check it out."
Diana had precious few seconds before they realized what she had done. She waited until their attention was off of her and attacked.
"Cigam!" she said once, then again, and a third time for good measure. Each time she hit one of her new assailants she said the word. She elbowed one man in the gut, "Cigam!", then another was kneed between the legs, "Cigam!"
She didn't stop.

Five minutes was more than enough time for Diana to have figured out she needed to use the Taboo. Christian's mind raced with alternatives to how they could find her. There were no clues at the warehouse to follow. He turned to Burke, about to rail the man about his contacts when he got the signal. Diana had used the Taboo. She was on a cargo ship in the Black Sea, near Romania. He signaled Burke and they left immediately.
The Taboo had done its job at breaking the security enchantments on the ship. They apparated on board with little notice taken. There were sounds of a scuffle and Christian ran full speed toward it, rounding a large stack of crates and coming upon four men and Diana. He aimed his wand and hit the man who was approaching Diana from behind. A flash of green light. Their attentions had turned to Christian and Derek.

Diana reached behind her expecting the attack and ready to use her attacker's momentum against him, but he wasn't there. She moved fluidly and took full advantage of their distraction with Christian and Derek managing to rid one of her assailants of his knife. At which point the fight was over. Diana was deadly with a wand, almost anyone was deadly with a gun, but with a knife in closed quarters Diana was the last person you wanted for an enemy.
The blade wasn't as sharp as Diana's were, so it required more force, but she managed three fairly clean kills in less than thirty seconds.
Burke had seen her face similar odds if not worse and emerge the victor and was more concerned with their surroundings than watching her fight, though he'd be lying if Diana fighting in lingerie wasn't a fantasy of his.
She turned from them and slipped back into her coat, pulling her hair out of the neckline. "Glad you boys could make it."

Christian watched in awe as Diana skillfully took out three men in nothing but her underwear. She moved so quickly she was nearly a blur as the men dropped one by one to the floor. Sinfully dangerous, he thought again. He would think on this scene many times in the future.
"F*ck me, Diana. We're going to talk about that later," he said with a charming smirk as he drew her wand from his pocket and handed it to her.

Diana took her wand and smiled at him. She had been impressed with him in Barbados, and wasn't exactly happy to show off in front of him, but pleased with the way he responded. The moment was short-lived however as Derek spoke.
"I think we tripped an alarm by apparating here." he said as the familiar patter of soldier's feet shuffling grew louder coming in their direction.
"Damn. He could be anywhere on this rig." Diana cursed and now that he knew something had gone wrong he could be apparating away as they stood there minutes before they would be surrounded.
"Any ideas?" she asked the gentlemen with her.

"Let's slow him down a bit," Christian said as he scaled the crates to get a better view of the ship. It was dark, but the moon was out which made the sea shine. The matte outline of the boat stood out. It was at least 300 meters long. He'd need help if they were going to place an anti-disapparation jinx on the whole ship before Sanchez got wind.
"Burke, get up here."
