As we prepare to end the term on June 30th, I think we need to discuss which student plots we need to focus on and complete before the term ends. Some of them may not need to be finished by the end of the term, if it is possible to complete them during Magic Camp instead. Take a look at your student characters and any plots/threads in which they are involved, so we can determine which ones we should focus on finishing.
Adult characters are not affected by this switch, by the way. Originally, I had planned to "skip ahead" in time and go straight to the next term, but I think now it will work better if we rush through summer and start the new term in September, focusing only on a few student plots, and then just working on forwarding the adult stories.

Well, there's the Leyla/Collin/Toby thing that needs to happen. It has to happen before Toby and Collin graduate because that's when he's supposed to run off right?

We're not really going to jump ahead. We're just going to end the term--we've been stuck around the end of April-beginning of May time period for a while. So let's basically just bring it to match the current time... and we'll end the term at the end of June. Then July and August will be summer, and we'll do the camp for the students and continue the adult characters' stories as usual. The adults can pretty much continue on their own timelines, really... it's the students that we're going to accelerate a little bit, just to get on with the new term. And yes, it will just be the Marauders' third year.

We could skip ahead in Dani's plot and I could have her get sick in the next post or two? Or, I don't know. What should we do?

I think she definitely needs to be alone with Trevor when she gets sick. I feel like Pavel would just dump her on a street corner somewhere, lol. Odd how Trevor, a death eater, has more compassion than her own father, but there it is.

Alrighty, so what do I need to do with Rita and Alayna before the term changes, because I get back from London by the time the summer starts here. I need to bump Rita to her third year and graduate Alayna - I'm thinking, Internship in the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, Office of Species Discovery and Documentation.

Well, we think Rita can play a part in the plot involving Toby, Leyla, Collin, and Niela... We'll see how that will work with the end of term. Basically, Collin is friends with Toby but having a fling with his sister Leyla, as well as Niela, and that sounds like the kind of thing Rita would LOVE to expose. We'll see if we can work Rita's part of it in toward the end... if it runs past the end of term time just a little bit I can pull it into a separate area to finish up, and then after Toby is kicked out of school (for nearly murdering Collin, of course), we could have the interhouse-tensions erupting into summer camp, and possibly even into the next term, just for fun. As for Alayna, that sounds good. Maybe both she and Xeno can work there together.  |

OH YES. Rita will devour this. Especially since Niela is already on her bad side cuz of the sporting gossip thread. That's excellent, I VOLUNTEER. And I'll enroll Rita in summercamp too if you want her to keep an eye on the evolving tensions.
And for Xeno and Alayna, I totally agree. Internships, let's go.

I think we can do it fairly quickly, actually. Another couple of posts between Trevor and Pavel and they can send the new ransom note telling Aurelia where and when to meet Pavel. Then we could just skip ahead to that thread and have Aurelia meet with him while Sean and Henri try to look for Dani... but we could just have her get sick right away, and Trevor could take her to the hospital from there. He doesn't even have to know that Henri and Sean are coming. Also, another plot that needs to be finished is Rabastan's bet with Brenda... if he hasn't kissed Linette by the time he graduates, Brenda will have won. And we can't have that, can we?  |
