Are we going to be able to finish the Toby/Leyla/Colin drama before the term is up?

It doesn't look like it. We'll have to finish it up at camp. I'll leave the existing threads open so they can be continued, but the rest will have to happen at camp.

OK, I have some thoughts. (Leyla, In know I said I'd PM you, but I think this affects all of us a little bit, so I thought I should put it out here so we could all discuss it.) With camp scheduled to end in just two days, it's clear we won't finish all the plots we had planned. Many of them, I think, can be carried over into the next term (such as the thing I've been doing with Severus and the Marauders) because all of the characters involved are still students. But when graduating seventh years are involved, there's a sort of sticky area, especially if some of the players are still students. The main problems are: 1. Toby, Collin, Leyla, and Niela: Originally, Collin was supposed to be dating both Leyla and Niela at the same time, Toby would find out and nearly kill Collin, and get kicked out of school. Meanwhile, the story of the love triangle would cause a major rift between the houses, with Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw, and both of them hating Slytherin (even more than usual). Now that Toby and Collin have graduated, this doesn't work as well. Collin won't have as much "access" to Niela or Leyla, Toby and Collin may not be hanging around quite as much, and the Slytherin part of the equation won't have as much impact. Also, Toby won't have anywhere to be kicked out of, so he won't feel quite as isolated. We could just continue this in the clean-up area, but it will make it difficult for Leyla and Niela and others to know how to play their characters into the new term. The rift between the houses can continue into the term, as it was always supposed to, but without the specifics of what happened, it'll be difficult for everyone to play that aspect of it. Furthermore, the way activity has been coming in spurts, there's a good chance we still won't finish it even with the extension. So we could either a) extend the camp for a time (two weeks or a month) and try to finish it there, or b) alter the plot and continue it into the next term. Toby will be getting an apartment and a job in Hogsmeade, so that keeps him close. I can change the "getting kicked out of school/camp" part and make it worse--I could have him get send to Azkaban for a while. Collin is harder, because he lives with his family and works in his parents' shop in Knockturn Alley. I can't see him going out of his way to date two schoolgirls who are so far away from him. Any suggestions on how to keep him close by? 2. Rabastan and the triplets: Technically, he's already lost the bet, because he hasn't kissed Linny yet. But the thread between them is set in Hogsmeade, which makes it exempt from the school timeline... so he still has a chance. I had hoped we could use the camp time to have the truth come out, Bobby's heart get broken, and the triplets could plot their revenge. Oh, and Neil could punch Rabastan. We're no where near any of this happening. Is there a way we can keep Rabastan at the school into the next term? Maybe as a teaching assistant? (which would be a really bad idea, of course... but hey, we had Bellatrix as a teaching assistant...) 3. Daphne, Heather, and Brenda: We might be able to work this in without too much trouble. All of the players are graduates, so it's not like we have to keep them involved with students. Brenda will likely be working as a barmaid somewhere, and Heather will be playing Quidditch. I don't know what Daphne is going to do, but maybe they could all have apartments in the same building? Please list any thoughts, concerns, or suggestions below.

Well, here is a concept. Leyla and Niela are in the same cabin. With a councilor like Brenda, it is highly possible to start a Truth or Dare game, or something along those lines, and for the Collin thing to come out then. It would be quick and easy to do. We could even have one of the boys eavesdropping on the girls cabin, find out, and go tell Toby, as I doubt he would be spying on his sister's cabin. Then, the toby/collin stuff could happen at camp.

We can work with that. After all, Brenda loves Truth or Dare. But we still need to have some thing actually happen with Leyla and Collin, especially, because as of now, there's not really much to tell. I'm thinking we should extend camp a little longer... probably two weeks... and then concentrate on threads between Leyla and Collin and Niela and Collin. If each of them at least kiss, we can probably work with that. I know he's kissed Niela already, so maybe it should go a little further between them (or they could just kiss a lot). I don't think he needs to do much more than kiss Leyla, though.... that will actually be enough for Toby to want to kill him.

Rabastan: Okay. Let's keep him at Hogwarts. Maybe an assignment from Voldemort, since he's already a DE? AND that puts him in the right place for Neil to sock him one. I will post with Linny. He loves corrupting young minds anyway. Maybe he could be Andromeda's assistant I jest.

Haha. I seriously would do that, except Andi will be in maternity leave for at least the first month or so of school. So the assistant would have to actually teach the classes... (if, you know, we actually held classes, lol)

Oh no. Let's not let Rabastan teach.

Yeah, that would be a very bad idea. But maybe he could be Voltaire's assistant in dueling....

Lol. Yeah.... well, having Bellatrix as Isa's assistant was a very bad idea, too....
