(OOC: Lol Why not?)
When Sin found out from various resources that the Slytherins were having a party in honor of their champion he was at once irked and challenged, why should they have all the fun?
From that point on the impromptu celebration was planted in his mind and he wasn't about to back away from it. Hell they had won the first challenge...well not "they" but Alice did and she deserved a celebration as well. Besides there was always an excuse for an after party.
Not to be outdone by his rival classmates, streamers were set up in addition to various decorations a poster of their champion hung over the fire, music was playing and drinks were being passed around.

There was far too much melancholy idleness for Christine these days, and even though she didn't really feel like a party she thought it was the best idea to sooth over the past so when Sin approached her with the idea, she was all game.
She didn't know Alice very well, but at the same time if she was a champion that meant that she could hold her own and Christine respected that. She knew right now that her cousin was probably dreading the party and that kind of brought a smile to her lips, Samantha needed to let loose and have fun.
For now however that was what she decided she needed to do as well.

Brooklyn was new that was true, but if there's one thing she loved it was trouble and a party sounded like trouble. With a small grin she was the first one to hit up the dance floor, it didn't matter that not many others were dancing, or that they had just come from a ball for that matter. The ball had been for the champions, this was just for fun. She waited however for some familiar faces to show up. She had made friends enough or acquaintances rather with a few people and they all seemed kind in their own way.

Gwen wasn't sure how she felt about this party. She hadn't been in the best mood lately anyway, and it didn't help that this whole party had been Sin's brainchild. Of course, she liked him. A lot, in fact, but she didn't know That she had the energy to okay the high stakes game They usually played.
Nonetheless, she found herself in the still near empty common room, and quickly found Brook. "Hey, fancy seeing you here," she said with a grin.

Connor, on the other hand, was 100% ready for a party, and he bounded in through the portrait hole like the party was in his honor.
He spotted Brook and Gwen first, and flashed both Sin and Christine a smile as he made his way over to the two girls. To the room at large, he said, "I thought this was a party! Where is everyone?"
Quieter, near his long time friend and the new girl, he softened his smile. "Hello, ladies. Lovely seeing you."

Lola was currently dragging her friend, Rayne, to the party. Merlin, that girl didn't want to have any fun at all. Lola wasn't sure where that came from, because she used to be all fire, but she figured it was a phase she was going to force Rayne out of.
"Come onnnn.... there are cute boys to be flirted with!" Being the metamorhpagus she was, she had changed her hair blonde, and her eyes were an ocean blue. Satisfied with that, she helped Rayne with more conventional changes... make up, curling her hair. Both girls found themselves in the common room just as everyone else seemed to be arriving.

Nolan was waiting for Jeremy. He loved parties, loved flirting, having fun, all of that. But he usually waited for Jeremy before he started any kind of festivities. The guy was his best friend, after all, and what fun was it, really, to party without your friends?
Still, he had made his way to the common room, just watching everyone else come in and meet each other. So far, the party was dominated by girls. He could deal with those odds.

It probably wasn't a good sign that Reese stepped into the common room, and was already thinking that this would be a better party if a certain someone was in Gryffindor, rather than Hufflepuff. He was going to have to give her hell about that, later.
All the same, there was a smile on his face and a light, jovial attitude about him as he wandered towards Sin. "Hey... well done. There's no reason the Slytherins should out celebrate us, eh?"

Renee was still trying to adjust, her accent making it difficult to make a ton of friends in one fell swoop. But she was trying.
As she joined the party, she recognized a couple of faces. One, in particular, who seemed to not have a group around her yet- and this seemed the easiest person for the girl to approach.
"'Bonjour," she said, joining Christine with a warm smile.

Jeremy wasn't actually expecting a party, so when he walked into the common room just after walking Alenna back to Ravenclaw tower, he was a little shocked to see that a party was just beginning. But then, Jeremy usually was the last one to know about these things.
He found Nolan almost immediately and came to stand by his best friend's side. He could tell by the look on Nolan's face that he was trying to decide which girl he should go flirt with first. "What's going on?" he whispered.

Nolan seemed almost surprised to see Jeremy. He thought it would take his friend longer to show up... until he asked what was going on, and Nolan was instantly pretty sure that Jeremy wasn't here on purpose.
"I don't know, actually. Not letting the Slytherins out do us? Whatever it is, I like it. We haven't had a proper party in ages, you know that?" He shook his head as though this were truly a tragedy. "Where have you been? With the girlfriend? How's that going?" Oh yes, Nolan was hyped and ready for a long, loud night.

Jeremy couldn't help but laugh. Nolan was more the party type than he was, and he was very much in his element right now. Jeremy, meanwhile, would have rather just been somewhere quiet with Alenna, but he would try and make the best of it, if only to make sure Nolan didn't get himself into any trouble.
"Things are going good with Alenna," he said. "I can't believe I waited so long to ask her out."
He looked out at the rest of the people in the common room and grinned. "So, who've you got your eye on?"

"Gwen Hey." Brook was glad for the familiar face, she thought she could fit in here, though she didn't really have an intention of making herself comfortable it was only a matter of time before she moved again, still she might regret it a little bit more this time.
"Care to dance?" she asked Gwen and proceeded to laugh when Connor entered the room as if he owned the place, a slow smile curved on her lips, "Does he always make that kind of an entrance?" she laughed lightly asking Gwen.
With a raised brow she nodded in his direction as he joined them, " Well hello yourself. I take it you're not the least bit tired from the ball hm?"

"Bonjour." she replied with a ready smile. Christine spoke fluent french so that wouldn't have been a problem for her. She offered Renee a drink and asked how she was enjoying herself this evening.
Christine, though she was relatively new to Hogwarts, was easily friendly and ready to accept anyone which had made her very popular very quickly, it helped that Sam was her cousin, and she was a montgomery, but beside that there was just something warm about her personality.

Sin surveyed the room, there still wasn't enough people, though he imagined there were stragglers still at the ball. He didn't mind though, he knew they'd find they're way back. Somewhere along the way he had lost track of Alyx, he couldn't remember seeing her at the ball whatsoever. His date Bek looked gorgeous however and took his mind off his missing friend. Though if he was honest with himself there was someone else who had captivated him that night, a vision he couldn't quite shake, and there she was again.
With cool detachment however he decided not to approach her this time. He turned the other direction and took two steps before he changed his mind and walked over to Connor, Brook, and yes Gwen. "Evenin folks, well what do you think?"

Gwen chuckled, ready to respond when in came Connor, and Gwen rolled her eyes. To Brook's question, she raised her eyebrows and nodded emphatically.
"Yeah. Well, no. I mean, that was a pretty tame entrance for him," she replied, not really exaggerating at all. Connor just didn't like to be ignored... she could understand, even if she was trying hard to fly under the radar these days.
"Hey Connor."
Their group grew bigger as Sin came over, and Gwen's breath hitched, just slightly. She was still a girl, after all, and games aside, she was allowed to have her crush. Especially since that was all it could ever be.
"It's a little quiet, isn't it?" She asked him, keeping it cool.

"Tired?! Good Merlin, no. Let's get this party started!" So he may have been up to a little extra fun. Either way, he was feeling pretty good, and while usually observant and protective of his girls, as he called them, he completely missed that tiny little currant of whatever it was between Gwen and Sin.
"I ran into Rose in the halls, and she's busy for a couple of hours, so I promised her we'd still be up and lively when she gets in. You know, she loves when I promise that we'll be breaking every rule we can."
He nudged Gwen. "It's only quiet cuz you're quiet. The four of us could start a dance floor right here. Wake everyone up and get them down here."

"It's hard to believe Rose doing anything wrong." it was a compliment in it's own way. Brooklyn really admired Rose, and at the same time the girl seemed a little too perfect. She much preferred trouble and adventure, but respected Rose for all her achievements.
"I'm game." she said in response to Connor's proposal to dance.
That was Brook's motto for the most part there was hardly anything too wild or ridiculous for her.

Sin's eyes attempted to pierce Gwen's, "Dancing...what a fantastic idea you have there Connor." Then just as abruptly as he started eye contact he shifted his gaze to the entire room. Never mind that most of the people in the room had just come from the ball, and were probably exhausted, they were young, they needed to celebrate.
"I'm sure we could round up a few willing souls." He transferred his gaze to the person controlling the music, "Hey turn it up." he called out.

To no one's surprise, Callie had left the ball early. Less than an hour after Bobby had disappeared with Neil, Callie slipped out while Linette was dancing with her flavor of the week. The challenge didn't particularly interest her (especially as it seemed fairly clear that the Slytherin champion had the advantage), and she was tired of turning down offers to dance, so she went up to bed.
She was actually sound asleep when the noise began to kick in downstairs, shaking her from her sleep. "What the...?" she mumbled, rubbing her eyes. She crawled out of bed and pulled on a bathroom and slippers, before making her way downstairs.
The common room was starting to fill up with people, music was playing, and Callie could smell food coming from somewhere.
"Oh, for Salazar's sake, some people are trying to sleep," she said, crossing her arms over her chest.
