Good Merlin, her heart leapt and caught in her throat at that look from sin. She managed to turn her attention to Connor at just the same time he looked away from her.
She didn't even know him, not really. Right now, he represented excitement, and something different from the future that she had already been sold into. Such an obsolete, archaic practice, too, and it killed her that there was nothing she could do about it.
She took a deep breath and smiled at Brook. "Does that look mean you're stealing Connor away for the first dance?"

"Ladies, there's enough Connor for everyone."
Again oblivious to the fact that Gwen wasn't herself, he just laughed and threw an arm over both of their shoulders.
He glanced up the stairs to Callie, who had a predictably grumpy look on her face. "Ah, come off it, Cal. Tomorrow's Sunday, come join us. Where are Bobby and Linny?"

"Don't be greedy Doyle." Sin smirked as he took Gwen's hand and brought it to his lips, "May I have this dance?" once again his eyes sought out hers with an intensity that both told her she should run, and yet would have rooted her to the spot. It wasn't a look Sin had perfected. He wasn't like other boys Rabastan, for instance who had girls flocking to him by the crook of a his finger with a simple glance, no the look in his eyes were genuine, and that made the game all the more exciting...all the more dangerous.

"Mmmhmm" Brook nearly snorted when Connor announced that there was enough of him for everyone. She raised an eyebrow at that. "I'm not sure Gwen and I can be trusted in the hands of such charm and humble chivalry." she said pointedly at Connor's display, though she was just teasing him.
Then when Sin kissed Gwen's hand and sent her such a scorching look Brook changed her mind, "Very Well you sir have behaved in a gentleman like manner." well the motions were gentlemanly...that look was not, that look looked like trouble, and oh how Brook loved trouble.
"Well what do you say Mr. Doyle...shall we dance?"

Callie rolled her eyes at Connor's attempt to be charming. Maybe he was a really nice guy, but all Callie saw was arrogance. "Do I look like their keeper?" she practically snarled. "We're not attached at the hip, you know."
Of course, her angry retort was at least partially a cover for worry. She didn't know where they were. She assumed Linny was off with her date for the evening, but Bobby she had no idea about. She had left the ball before Callie, and she was not there when Callie came up to bed. She was pretty sure she wasn't off with Rabastan, who was still at the ball when Callie slipped out. So where was she?
Of course, in the back of her mind, she was also sure Connor was asking where the "fun" sisters were, instead of angry, party-crasher Callie in her nightgown and slippers. But she pushed that thought aside.
"Well, seeing as I'm already up, I guess I have to join now," she grumbled. Not that anyone was paying any attention to her now. She slipped back up stairs to throw on some clothes. She wasn't going to the party in her nightgown.

It didn't matter to Sirius that the party was mostly filled with older students. It was a Gryffindor party, and no Gryffindor party would be complete without Sirius Black and James Potter.
Luckily, he couldn't sleep after leaving the ball, so he heard the beginnings of the party forming downstairs. He slipped out of bed to check things out and when he saw what was going on, he grinned. He ran back to his dormitory and straight to James' bed. "James! Wake up... we're missing the party!"

"Coulda fooled me..." Connor replied to Callie, before smiling wickedly and turning his attention back to the people around him.
Just in time to see the look Sin was giving, and the way Gwen was rooted to her spot. Well, this was going to get really interesting tonight....
He took Brook's hand, leading her away from the other two as he spun her slowly.

James would not admit he was tired, but once his head came in contact with his pillow, he closed his eyes. He drifted off to sleep, but he was quickly woken up by Sirius. "I'm up," he said quickly sitting up.
"A party hm?" James grinned. "You know I'm ready." He moved from his bed and changed his clothes. "Let's go see how everything is going so far."

Gwen didnt even notice the other two around her anymore. Sin had stolen 100% of her attention. Good Merlin, his name suited him perfectly. Merlin knew he was tempting. But then, maybe it was just the idea he represented.
All logic told her not to dance with him. That look in his eyes, and just how much she wanted to were warning signs. But she recovered from standing there like a mute and nodded slowly. She at least wanted a taste of trouble.
"I'd love to, in fact. "

Anya wasn't usually one to be up late most nights, she had plenty of running around at night when the moon was full. Other students were getting up from their beds, some actually getting dressed again to go to the party.
Anya thought for a moment, sitting in her bed, that the main reason she joined this school was to be a normal girl, not just connect with others like her, but to be human with humans. She pulled herself from her bed and started to get dressed. She looked at herself in a mirror in her trunk and thought herself lucky, she was at least a pretty girl. She was casually dressed and made her way out of the dormitory and into the party.
People were talking and flirting and the air smelled like sweet drinks and food. She smiled at the thought of having a good time and joined the party, and grabbing a bottle of butterbeer.
