Aurelia did as she was told, but it was sort of an automatic action. She was just so tired... If only Danica would come home. But she was away... at school, wasn't it? That was right, she was at school. And she would be back soon. On the weekend.
Aurelia's mind kept trying to rationalize the fact that Dani wasn't here. She couldn't accept that her daughter was missing, that she had been taken and that she might never see her again. So she tried to convince herself that Dani was safe.
"Henri," she murmured. "Tell Dani I love her and I'll see her soon."
Then she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Aurelia's words and the way she said them nearly caused Henri's heart to break into pieces. He ached to just snap his fingers and have everything be okay. If it was Pavel who kidnapped Dani, Henri didn't know what he wanted unless it was Aurelia. Like he vowed to himself before, he wasn't going to let her go so easily this time if it came down to it. This time he could defend himself better than before. She gave him a strange happiness, even the first time he met her after the memory loss. Henri wasn't going to let that go so easily. Being with Aurelia meant that Danica came too and he didn't mind that one bit. Dani was a special girl, he even noticed that the first time he met her.
Kissing her forehead then taking a seat in the chair next to her bed, Henri couldn't find sleep coming to him. He needed to be awake just in case something happened. Sleep wasn't going to help him do anything. He was torn in two. One part wanted to go search for Dani himself, but the other wanted to stay right where he was. He couldn't leave Aurelia alone, nor let her wake up alone.
Very carefully and easily, Henri managed to crawl on the bed without waking Aurelia's sleeping form and put his arms around her to make sure that she was still going to be comfortable. For a little while, he laid there awake, his mind wondering, but then sometime in the night he finally fell off into a very light sleep.
