Yes it probably wasn't the best idea to try to get Aurelia's thoughts off Dani because she'd still be thinking about her but it was good to try. "We can do the first again," he putting his arm around her shoulders.
Henri thought again that it would help relax her a little more. He was becoming more comfortable and knew he was falling for her again. The whole thing about him losing parts of his memory made him want to do whatever he could to gain them back. He wanted to remember whatever he could but right now he was more focused on her.

Aurelia leaned against him, her hands still gripped around the teacup. A few tears leaked out of her eyes and she didn't bother to wipe them away.
She couldn't do this. She couldn't sit here and pretend that everything was normal. Her daughter was missing. She should be looking for her.
"When Dani was little, and we first ran away from Pavel, I used to just sit with her for hours, watching her sleep. I always wondered what she was dreaming about. Sometimes she would have nightmares, but she would never tell me what they were about..."

Henri moved a little just to make sure that Aurelia would be comfortable leaning against him. He wasn't sure what to say about Dani's nightmares. He would imagine that the little girl would have nightmares from what Aurelia told him of Pavel. There were so many things that Henri wished were different. He wished that Aurelia didn't ever go through with what she did with Pavel, he wished that Dani didn't have to go through that either. However, if Aurelia and Pavel never were together, Dani never would have been born. Dani was a great gift to her even though she had to deal with a horrible husband.
"Does she still have the nightmares now?"

If only Henri knew that he might actually be Dani's father, and not Pavel. Aurelia wanted to tell him... but she wasn't sure how. Especially now that Dani was missing... if he knew she might be his daughter, he might freak out. And, selfishly, she wanted him to stay calm. She needed him too much right now.
"I think she does," she answered. "She won't admit it, but I think she wakes up a lot at school in the middle of the night. I just can't imagine how scared she.must be right now..."

"Maybe they have come up with a potion that makes nightmares go away. We could always check into that and see if they have something like that." It was becoming a natural thing to use the word 'we'. He wasn't sure how thing were going to go once they found Dani. What if really was Pavel that took her? What would he want in return? Henri knew that he wasn't going to let Aurelia go quitely, but there was feeling that he knew if Pavel wanted Aurelia back that it would endanger her life, as well as Dani's if he were to fight for them. However, that didn't mean that Henri wouldn't try a way to get around that.
"She'll be okay," he said quietly. "Soon all of this will be over and we'll try to get things back in order to something similar to how it was before."

Aurelia nodded. "There is one," she replied. "I've given it to her a few times, but it doesn't seem to agree with her. She gets sick or too tired or something..."
She sighed softly. When they finally found Dani, the nightmares from this event would probably be worse than ever. If Pavel had done this, there was going to be hell to pay. She was no longer the meek, young girl he had married. After living on her own, keeping herself and her daughter going all this time, Aurelia had become stronger and braver. Anyone who hurt her daughter would experience a wrath they could never have imagined. And if that someone was Pavel... he wouldn't know what hit him.
"I'm glad you're here," she said softly, looking up at Henri with soft brown eyes.

"We can try to figure something else out that will help get rid of her nightmares." If the potion didn't really work for Dani, there had to be something else right? There had to be something else to help her get actual sleep without any nightmares.
"I wouldn't be anywhere else," he said with a very light smile. "We're going to get through all of this, you know that right? Soon, Dani will be right here and then we can all go on a pinic one afternoon while its warm out. We can take her to the movies and figure out a way so that she no longer has bad dreams. Then we can also make sure that you nor her have anything else to worry about."
Henri wasn't how sure how true his words were going to be. He hoped that things would work out and there not be any bad problems.

Aurelia hoped he was right. But right now, she couldn't find it in herself to fully believe in anything. She was still so terrified that she might never see her little girl again. What if Pavel had taken her away and brought her back home? What if he never planned to let her go? What if he hurt her?
And that was just assuming that Pavel was the one who had her. There was still that dark, terrifying prospect that the person who had Dani might not be Pavel at all. It might be some random, evil person who meant to do her harm. The possibilities were all so frightening that she couldn't allow herself to consider them. But they were there in the back of her mind nonetheless.
Setting her tea cup down, she leaned closer to him and closed her eyes, trying to blot out the fearful images her mind kept conjuring up. Instead, she tried to focus on the things Henri was saying, his musical voice lulling her into a slightly calmer state. After a few minutes, she fell into a light sleep.

After Aurelia put down her tea cup, Henri moved on the couch so that she could lean against him comfortably. He noticed that her eyes were getting heavy and he continued to talk softly about things that the three of them could do in the future as she fell asleep. Henri only hoped that they could possibly do those things. Sitting with Aurelia like this brought back very familar feelings. No specific memories were coming back, just the feelings.
Very gently, he tilted his head so that he could plant a very gentle light kiss to Aurelia's head. Henri wasn't exactly sure what sparked that action but he didn't dwell on it for too long. He couldn't talking very softly about things in the future to attempt to keep Aurelia's mind off the present.

Aurelia began to drift off to sleep, lulled into a semi-peaceful state by the sound of his soft voice and the feel of his arms around her. She was completely exhausted, but her mind wouldn't quite let her fully rest. Almost immediately, she began to dream about Dani.
It was dark and cramped where she was, and the walls seemed to be closing in on her. Something was digging into her back, and there was something else pressing into her arm. Her leg tickled, as if something was crawling on it, and she was glad it was too dark to see. Her hands... she couldn't move her hands, and as she tried, she felt something rough and scratchy digging into her flesh. Rope. She was bound, tightly. She tried to cry out, but couldn't move her mouth, as if she had something over it... tape, maybe. A tear trickled down her face, and the only thought in her mind was that her mother would save her. Then the door opened, letting the harsh sunlight in. She squinted up and saw a familiar face. He reached down to grab her, and she tried to scream....
Aurelia screamed in her sleep and began to flail around, kicking and screaming.

Henri was determined that he wasn't going to sleep for awhile. He had to make sure that Aurelia was going to be okay. He could do fine without sleep for however long he needed to go without it.
While Aurelia slept, he watched her and gently stroked her hair. He hummed very softly as his thoughts drifted to how they could find Dani. If he were completely honest, looking for Dani was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Although, Henri wasn't going to admit to that. He had a lot more faith that they were going to find her.
Soon, Aurelia started to move then she started to move violently and scream. Henri put both of his hands on her shoulders and tried to wake her up. "Aurelia," he called. "Wake up!"

Aurelia awoke with a start, her eyes wild and uncomprehending. Her breathing came in heavy, ragged gasps, and she was shaking. "He has her," she whispered. "I know he has her... she's so scared and she wants her mommy..."
She flung her arms around Henri, holding him tightly as she broke down in tears. "We have to find her... He's crazy and desperate and I don't know what he's going to do to her..."

"We will find her." Henri wasn't sure how long it was going to take and he wasn't sure how well they were doing finding her. He was going to check in with Sean soon to see if he alerted St. Mungo's to be on the look out for her just in case she came in and just to see if Sean had seen anything.
He rubbed her back soothingly. "She'll be back soon and everything will be okay. Dani will be found soon."

She didn't hear him. She was crying too hard to hear anything. The dream had been so vivid, so powerful, that it felt as if she had been connected to Dani herself. It was like she was seeing what Dani was seeing, feeling what she was feeling, experiencing what she was experiencing. Was that possible? It couldn't be... and yet, Aurelia felt certain that this was exactly what happened.
But as she felt Henri's hand rubbing her back, Aurelia knew that she couldn't tell him. He probably wouldn't believe her, and would tell her that it was just a dream. But Aurelia needed to feel that connection to her daughter. Right now, it was all she had.
"I need to do something. Please, I can't just sit here.... There has to be something we can do."

He didn't know of anything they could really do at the moment. An instinct told him that she was going to be stubborn about it and not let Sean go out and find her own his own. There had to be something that he could think of they could do.
Henri continued to rub her back for a moment. He couldn't tell her that they couldn't really do a whole lot because Henri was itching to go find Dani as well. He had to keep it together for Aurelia. "We can go to St. Mungo's and put out word there if you want unless you think Kieran already did. Then we can just go from there. I don't really know where to start looking, but maybe we could help get the word out. We could even take a picture with us if you wanted to."

What Aurelia really wanted to do was scour the entire city for Danica; knock on every door, and look in every corner and alleyway until she found her baby. She didn't care that it wasn't practical or that Pavel--if if was Pavel--might have taken her out of London, and she didn't care that she was practically falling over with exhaustion. She just wanted to find Dani.
She barely even listened to Henri's suggestion, and was about to tell him what she really wanted to do int he hopes that he'd go along with it. But something clicked in her mind, and she let out a gasp. "The school!" she said. "We should alert them, and see if they can ask around and see if anyone knows anything!"

"We can go to the school," he said knowing that Aurelia wasn't going to rest. Henri wasn't going to ask her if she was up for traveling and walking because he knew how that conversation would end up. At some point, he was going to have to make Aurelia sleep. However, if every time she went to sleep she would start kicking and screaming, that was going to be near impossible.
"Come on, let's go toward the school."

Aurelia wasn't going to admit that she was exhausted. The dream, which had felt so real, haunted her. She couldn't just sit around doing nothing while Dani was in danger. She would do whatever it took to find her daughter. Dani needed her mother right now... she was waiting for her to find her. How could she let her little girl down by wasting her time with sleep?
She pulled a cloak on over her muggle clothes, and changed to a more practical pair of shoes. "Come on, let's go," she said.

Henri put his cloak on as he waited for Aurelia to change shoes. He put his arm around her when she annouced she was ready. "She will be found," he said again just as a reassurance. He mainly announced that for himself. There was something that was boiling inside Henri that he didn't quite know how to describe. He had to have a cover so that Aurelia would have someone to lean on.
"Hold on," he said just as they disappeared and reappeared just outside the school grounds with a POP.

Aurelia didn't say anything as they walked across the grounds toward the castle. It was taking too much concentration just to walk. She really was exhausted and running on fumes, so she kept tripping over stones and thick patches of grass. It was lucky that Henri was there to help her up each time.
Since the killing of Katie Lawrence and the attack on Hogsmeade, it had been necessary to have a guard at the front doors every night after the school's curfew. As Aurelia and Henri approached the door, they could see the guard standing there.
"Could you talk to him?" Henri asked, biting her lip. She wasn't entirely sure she could stay calm if she tried to talk to the guard.
