He reached up and touched her cheek. At her question, Henri nodded. "That is his mark," he whispered. He looked around then looked back to Aurelia, "but he wasn't here. If he was here, I'm sure that he would have left more than just his mark in the middle of the room." Henri's voice went from a whisper to solemn.
"What we have to figure out is why that mark is here and who put it there." Henri's mind went straight to a serious mindset and he started to analyze what was going on inside Ambrosia.

Aurelia hadn't really had the chance to react to the fact that Henri had clearly come here tonight to watch her play. Right now, she was just glad that everyone was OK and that Danica was safe at school.
Rita's voice shook her from her emotional state, and she pulled back from Henri's embrace. "Yes... yes, I'm fine. Everyone's fine, it seems. There was just... it was the mark of... of him... of Lord... Voldemort." As she said the name, she looked around, as if to make sure the man in question was not there.
She gripped Henri's hand, and turned slightly so that Henri could see Rita. "It's an odd time for you to meet, but Rita, this is Henri. Henri, Rita is Kieran's mother."

"Sorry we couldn't meet under better circumstances," he said with a nod of his head, "but it is nice to finally meet you Rita." Henri offered her a light smile. He was honestly glad that he did meet Rita, even though chaos had occurred.
He started to glance around at the people who had sort of calmed down. There were a few people who were in hysterics, but Henri didn't see anything out of sorts. No bodies anywhere.
"That's odd," he said remembering to continue to speak english. "I don't see anything that says it was a deatheater attack. Everything is in tact and people are alive..." Henri looked between Aurelia and Rita. There had to be something he was missing since the dark mark didn't just appear for no reason at all.

Aurelia frowned as she looked around. There was something nagging her, and she couldn’t quite place it. Henri was right; that symbol meant something. There had been one in the sky after the Hogsmeade attack, and after that reporter was killed outside the Daily Prophet building. But no one appeared to be dead or even seriously injured, and nothing was on fire. Sure, there were a few overturned chairs and some broken glass and spilled drinks scattered across the floor, but most of that was probably caused by the customers and their frantic scramble to escape from the person who cast that symbol.
But something was wrong, she could feel it. She had a knot in her stomach, and even seeing Henri couldn’t quite ease it.
“Maybe you should talk to a few of the people who are left,” she suggested to Henri. “Maybe they saw something. Rita and I should start cleaning up.”

Henri squeezed Aurelia's hand before letting go. "I'm going to see who will talk about what happened. Just let me know if you find something, alright?" He knew that he was going to have to go to several different people. Everyone's story would more than likely be a little different, but maybe he would be able to find someone that could shed some light on what was going on.
Like Aurelia, Henri had a knot in his stomach. Something was wrong and he was going to figure it out. He looked in Rita's direction before leaving the two women to see who was the most stable person he could talk to.

Awkward circumstances to be meeting the guy, Rita thought, buy hey... it would be a story for later. They just had to make sure that no one was hurt and that everything was okay.
"Well, Henri, it's very nice to meet you," she said, making the greeting short because he clearly had work to do. "And thank Merlin you're here, right?" Her eyes had been scanning the room, and everyone seemed fine. It was probably just a scare, but why here?
"Come on, Aurelia. This place turned into a mess."

Aurelia let out a frustrated sigh. The nagging feeling in her gut was just getting worse, and it was starting to worry her. As soon as they were done cleaning up, she was going to have to send an owl to Dani at school, just to make sure she was OK. Of course she was safe at Hogwarts, but still... The last time she had a feeling like this was the time Danica had suffered a really bad seizure while at school.
She wandered over to the bar and bent down to pick up a fallen bar stool. She wasn't really thinking about what she was doing, and she didn't realize at first that there was something tangled around the legs of the bar stool, preventing it from standing up straight. When she did notice it, she knelt down and tried to untangle the piece of fabric from under the stool.
As she pulled it out and held it up, however, her heart stopped. This wasn't just any piece of pink fabric. It was Dani's cloak, partially torn.
Aurelia screamed.

Speaking to the older lady that Henri thought was a little more stable wasn't really helping him any. She did tell him about how the mark just appeared, then everything turned to chaos. Everyone started to scream and run about. Henri sighed and just as he was about to thank the lady, Aurelia's scream filled his ears.
Without another word, Henri immediately ran over to her. "Aurelia," he began. His gaze dropped to the item in Aurelia's hands. "Oh non." Henri's stomach twisted and instead of starting to become upset, he could feel the heat starting to rise.

Still holding the cloak against her chest, Aurelia turned and threw her arms around Henri as he came up to her. The cloak was pressed between them, as if they were hugging Dani herself, instead of just a cloak.
"She was here," Aurellia gasped, barely able to speak for the block of ice in her chest. "Dani was here... where is she now?"
She was sobbing now, genuine panic taking over all reason. All she could think was that something had happened to Dani. She could have run out in the chaos and tried to go somewhere safe, but she wouldn't have left her cloak... it was too cold...
"Oh, Godric, where is she?" she cried, wishing that Henri had all the answers.

Aurelia's scream seemed to scare a few of the customers since the chaos had died down a little. Everyone was jumpy, and Aurelia's panic didn't help them.
Rita turned and saw her and Henry together. What just happened? She didn't see the cloak between them and assumed that something happened to Aurelia. Was she hurt?
"Aurelia," she called out, rushing to her side and glancing quickly at Henry. "Are you hurt, are you okay?"
She heard the 'she was here,' though, and knew instantly that Aurelia meant Dani. "Calm down," she said quickly, a fear gripping her own heart. She knew what it was like to lose a daughter, and she wasn't going to let Aurelia go through it. "She probably ran in the back with Pierre. Let's go check."

(totally didn't see that it was my turn) "Yea Mum, I'll be fine," Pavel said. He was becomming more and more agrivated with the idea that Trevor was treating him like a pathetic idiot. Seriously, he did know who was paying him right? (even if it was really just Pavel's father.) "Do what you have to do, we'll be fine here," he smiled without his teath and sqeezed Danica's shoulder. "We'll catch up on some father-daughter bonding, wont we?" Dani made a muffled noise of pain when Pavel squeezed her shoulder. It was exagerated, but her logic was that he would stop if he knew he was hurting her. Then again, that hadn't exactly worked so far this evening. Beneath all of that, her dirty looks and her logic, was a terrified little girl. She didn't know what to do, or how to get out of this, and she really just wished her mom were there to help. Aurelia always made everything bad go away,

Putting his arms around Aurelia, Henri's mind was turning. Dani could be anywhere. "We'll find her," Henri said speaking softly. Now it was more important to find Dani than who put the mark there or knowing the reason why it was there.
Henri's eyes connected with Rita's. "Rita is right," he said. "Maybe Dani ran with Pierre. Let's go see, d'accord?"

But a mother always knew. She’d had this horrible feeling before she found the cloak, and now she knew why. Dani had decided to sneak over here for a visit, and now something had happened to her. It was a mother’s worst nightmare.
She nodded slowly to Henri and Rita’s attempts to calm her down, and she pulled away from Henri. Her expression was numb, and she was clinging to the cloak like a lifeline.
“Yes, Pierre,” she murmured. Except that Dani barely knew Pierre. Maybe she was with Brenda or… someone else. But Aurelia was sure that if Dani were still in the building, someone would told her by now. And she would have come running when Aurelia screamed, just as she had that one day when Pavel was hitting her.
She followed as they went into the kitchen to look for her, but she was murmuring an old Czech prayer under her breath.

Pavel waited for Trevor to leave and then turned back to his daughter. Pavel was not a man that though things through. He had now kidnapped his daughter. Great. Now all he could do was look at her pathetic little figure and think Now what the hell do I do?
He knew Danica didn't do anything wrong, she was 100 percent her mother, though, and that could deem to be dangerous. She was his ticket to getting his wife back though.
He sat in a chair and looked at the little girl for a moment. The tape on her mouth frusterated him. It kept her quiet, but it brought Pavel's memories to that of his childhood with his father, who would do similar things to keep him quiet.
Pavel groaned and rolled his eyes. He was going to regret this. "I'll make you a deal." He finally said. "You keep your mouth shut, there's no point in screaming anyway there isn't anyone within a 100 miles of the place. And in return, I'll take the tape off." It was more for his benefit than hers. He couldn't deal with the flashbacks of his father.

Knowing that Dani was missing made Henri ache. Thoughts of what if started entering his mind. What if he would have gotten there a little earlier? Would he have seen Dani before the chaos started? Could he have prevented any of this if he would have just left earlier? He knew he couldn't focus on the 'what ifs'. They had to find Dani and Henri was determined to do so. Hopefully one of the staff got her out of harm's way. However, part of him knew that that probably wasn't a possiblity, he could just feel it.
Henri followed Rita to the kitchen, staying close to Aurelia. He could see the no expression and he wanted to just take it away. He wanted to her feel better, but the only thing to do that was to find Dani.

In the kitchen, all was eerily quiet. No one seemed to be around, which was strange. They’d had a full staff tonight, and everything had been bustling not ten minutes ago. She wasn’t even sure they would have heard about the Dark Mark in the kitchen, because they would be too busy working.
She clung to Henri’s hand as she looked frantically around the room, and then, unable to help herself, she called out, “Dani!” Maybe the girl was hiding somewhere.
A moment later, the walk-in refrigerator opened and Mike, one of the bartenders, poked his head out, asking if it was safe.
Aurelia nodded. “Is Dani in there with you?”
“No,” Mike said. “But she was here. I was just telling her to wait in the kitchen instead of the bar, when that… thing… appeared on the ceiling. I lost track of her in the confusion.”
Tears sprung to Aurelia’s eyes and she looked to Henri and Rita. “We have to find her….”

He squeezed Aurelia's hand, even though he knew it wouldn't really calm her down. Henri knew that she wouldn't be calm or anything until her little girl was back.
Hearing the news from the bartender caused Henri's heart to drop from his chest straight to his feet. Dani was somewhere and she had to be found. "Je vais trouver, je le jure," he said as he looked over to Aurelia. Henri was going to do whatever he had to to find her. He squeezed her hand tightly. "I can send word to the MLE and let them help find her. We can look all through the area and see if we can come up with anything."

Aurelia just nodded numbly. She felt like her legs were going to give out on her, and she couldn't see through the haze of tears in her eyes. This was wrong. It was all wrong. What if Dani had been the reason for the Dark Mark? What if someone had taken her? The only person she could think of who would have taken her, however, was Pavel. Could have have found them at last? She didn't even think for the moment that he couldn't do magic, or that he wouldn't have even been able to get inside the club without a wizard to help him. All she could think about was that Dani was in trouble... what if she was hurt? What if he hurt her?
"He took her," she whispered desperately.

Rita had been quiet, still not giving up hope that Dani was still somewhere in the restaurant. She had a nagging doubt about it, but she wasn't going to let Aurelia see it.
"Who took her, Aurelia?" She asked, turning to her friend. But one look at her, the look in her eyes and she knew exactly who Aurelia meant.
"No, he didn't," Rita said firmly. "Unless he somehow tracked you down after nine years and suddenly turned into a wizard."

He turned from Aurelia and Rita to send a patronus to the MLE office to give word of Dani. He gave a description of her and her name then sent the patronus off. Henri was going to stay at the resturant for the moment and see what all he could find out. Once he found out what he could, he was going to go help find Dani, even if it wasn't going to be an assigned mission. He had to find her, he promised Aurelia he would.
Henri didn't hear Aurelia's whisper but he did catch Rita's words. His brows came closer together. "If his father had connections to erase my memory, he could do anything," he said quietly. He looked to Aurelia. "I'm about to meet the MLE that is supposed to be coming and we're going to look and see if we can find anything at all," said Henri with his expression softening. "We're going to find her and whoever took her."
