I didn't want to split you up, but based on his app, he just didn't seem like a Ravenclaw.

Ella stood in line, waiting for her name to be called. She was nervous, and kept thinking to herself that she didn't want to be in Slytherin. She had heard stories from other kids her age that their older siblings told her about Slytherin, and it was a place that Ella didn't think she belonged.
Her name was called, and she stepped up to the stool and sat down, feeling the eyes of everyone in the hall on her. She hoped one last time not to be in Slytherin as the hat was placed on her head.

(I'm tired of being a muggle).
Wren had been too busy staring at the girl next to him to realize that his name had been called. It was only after a few harsh whispers from the boys around him that he snapped out of his trance. The girl was looking at him, with a curious expression on her face. Wren winked, and turned away before he could see her reaction.
As he strode up to the steps, Wren looked for his older brother, who was sitting at Hufflepuff. He gave Robin a small smirk before having the hat dumped on his head.

Bobby was standing next to a boy she met on the train on the way from King's Cross, and they were quietly joking about what the hat must be saying to some of the other students before it made it's decision. She was anxious and excited to see where she would be put, and when the boy was called up, she forgot he even existed, turning back to her sisters.
"I don't know which house to hope for!" she whispered just as her name was called, and she strode up to the stool.

Post by Callisto "Callie" Sanders on Sept 12, 2009 23:39:50 GMT -5
Callie stood between her sisters, her arms folded across her chest. She was not nearly as social as Bobby and Linny were, and wasn't good at making small talk. In fact, she didn't say a word until she saw two boys picking on a third boy, who was a lot smaller than everyone else.
"Hey, knock it off," she whispered harshly. When the kids refused to stop, she got annoyed and broke from the line, shoving the two kids away from the smaller one.
This immediately attracted the attention of Professor McGonagall, who yelled at her and threatened detention. Great. She wasn't even sorted yet and she was about to get detention.
But then her name was called, and she stepped forward, the first of her sisters to be sorted, because her name was first alphabetically. She sat down on the bench and pulled the hat down over her head, waiting for its decision.

Linette was the second of the girls to be called, and as she watched Callie head off to her perspective table, She subconsciously pulled on her hair, hoping it looked half-way decent at least. The boat ride on the lake was pretty, but it was windy and Linette didn't appreciate how it had affected her hair.
As her name was anounced, Linette winked at her sister and walked with her head high and smiling, her body language screaming "look at me". She then took a seat on the stool, flatting out her school skirt and smiling as the hat was then placed on her head.
Ew gross. Do you know how many heads have been in this ratty thing? Linette though in disgust as she felt pity for her poorly treated hair that evening.

Post by Dirk Murphy on Sept 16, 2009 15:56:03 GMT -5
The triplets had gone before Dirk and he almost looked at them distastefully. The way that they could interact with each other and all of that, made Dirk almost draw back. He didn't like to see all the couples or the people stare at each other like they wanted something.
Finally able to ignore those around him, Dirk strolled up to the hat. He didn't care where he was put, as long as it wasn't Hufflepuff. Dirk couldn't stand all the yellow from Hufflepuff. Sure, his mother had been in Hufflepuff but he wasn't anything like her with the exception of his magical abilities.
Sitting on the stool, the hat was placed on his head and he sat still while the hat made its decision.

Slytherin.
(I mean, in order to have any street cred as a bully, you've got to be in Slytherin.)

Post by Bennett Marks on Sept 22, 2009 0:01:29 GMT -5
Bennett was leaning against the wall of the Dining Hall, looking at the ceiling and whistling lightly. He hadn't been paying too much attention to his surroundings. A few people had shushed him, and he just grinned back, managing to whistle a bit more softly as to try and appease him. It was hard to just stop something when you thought it.
Bennett heard his name, and pushed himself off the wall, apologizing for bumping into a smaller girl before loping up the stairs. He wasn't house picky, and collapsing on the chair, extending his legs out in front of him and tapping on his knee.

Post by Neil Prescott on Sept 22, 2009 17:30:21 GMT -5
Neil was intensely nervous during the sorting ceremony. Hogwarts was like another world for him. He was used to feeling out of place, but it was more than usual this time. Most of these kids were used to the world of magic. He had only learned what the word muggle meant a couple of months ago. What if he didn't do well at Hogwarts? What if he failed? What if his being here was all a mistake.... or a trick?
To calm himself down, he was doing algebra equations in his head. Math was a constant, and sometimes it was the only thing that made any sense to him at all. Unfortunately, he was concentrating so heavily on the equations that he didn't hear his name being called right away. When he did, he jumped up and ran for the stool, tripping over his already too-long legs and falling head-long across the stage.
He had to pick himself up amidst the laughter and he avoided everyone's eyes as he got up to the stool and put the hat on his head. His last thought before the hat shouted its decision was that he pitied whichever house was stuck with him.
