Karl looked back in the direction of the castle, where the new pup had gone. Tilting his head sideways, he silently tried to ask her what to do about her. They'd been too late to save her from becoming one of them, so now what would they do with her?

Dragos stayed with the new pup outside the forest, waiting for the others to return with a plan. He tried to stay in the shadows of the trees with her to avoid any chance of being seen.

Skye had been out in the forest with the others, when she heard the sounds of a fight. She recognized the familiar sounds of Greyback's howl, along with Karl's, and she ran to investigate. By the time she got there, she saw that Greyback had gone, and Karl was injured. She walked over and stood near him, her head tilted with concern.

Karl saw Skye and let out a short bark, then nodded his head toward the castle, trying to hint to her about the new pup. Maybe she could get the pup and Dragos and lead them to a safe spot in the forest, where Greyback wouldn't find them.

Skye caught his signal and looked toward the castle. She didn't see anything, but as she sniffed the air, she recognized the acrid scent of fear and innocence lost. Instantly, she understood. Greyback had made a new pup tonight. She flattened her ears back at Karl and bobbed her head. She would go get the new pup and take it into the woods to hide for the night. With a glance at Chloe, warning her to stay with Karl, she bounded off toward the castle, following the new pup's scent.

Skye sniffed out a trail, following the path that Dragos and the new pup had taken. Soon she found them on the outskirts of the forest, much farther down, hiding behind the trees. She tilted her ears in a sign of friendship, and sniffed at the pup's side. With a short bark, she started into the forest and looked back at them, indicating that they should follow her.

Kris looked at the werewolf that had brought her there as if waiting for him to move first. She then looked at the new one and cocked her head to the side. She took a tentive step to follow the her. She then trotted to catch up with her.

Skye barked again, making sure that Dragos and the new pup were following her. Then she walked deeper into the forest, toward a large cave. There they would be safe overnight. She only hoped that Karl and Chloe would find somewhere safe to wait out the night as well.

Chloe motioned to Karl to follow her in the direction of Hogsmeade, after she saw Skye leave. She wasn't going to leave him alone anyway, and she figured that Skye and Dragos could take care of the new one and meet up with them later, and she also figured that if they went in the direction of her house, that she could get him cleaned up and healed faster than if they were just in the forest.

Karl limped after Chloe. He couldn't walk very fast, but at least he could walk. He was glad that Chloe was with him.
