Staring at the lake

[Kris Lupin]

Kris screamed in pain once again as she felt her bones crack and twist and her skin rip. She howled in pain as she felt the searing pain rip through her body. She opened her eyes after the pain stopped.

[Fenrir Greyback]

Greyback smiled, feeling a thrill of excitement over his newest pup. If he couldn't have Remus, he would have her sister. He howled and gave the pup a push into the forest.

[Karl]

Karl had strayed slightly from the rest of the pack and was chasing a rabbit when he heard an unfamiliar howl, followed by Greyback's howl. Greyback had made a new pup. He let out a call to the others, hoping Chloe, David, or Dragos would hear the call. They needed to separate Greyback from his new pup. Without waiting to see if the others were coming, he charged ahead and ran in the direction of Greyback's cry.

Soon Greyback and his new pup came into view. Immediately, he leapt on top of Greyback and bit into the soft flesh of his shoulder. Hopefully Chloe or one of the others would show up and lead the new pup away.

[dragos]

Dragos, having heard Karl's call for help, was running through the forest looking for where Karl had run off to. After a few moments, he finally discovered him fighting with another werewolf, presumably Greyback. He looked over a few yards away from them and saw another werewolf, although this one was a lot smaller. No doubt, it was Greyback's newest pup. Dragos quickly bounded in its direction and looked it in the eye, turning his head in what he had memorized as the direction of the school and open sky. He howled lightly, trying to get the other wolf to follow him to the school.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris looked at Greyback and the werewolf fighting. After a few moments she looked at the new werewolf then started to follow it. She ran up beside the new wolf wondering where they were headed, half of her wanted to get away from the school and her old life.

[Fenrir Greyback]

Fenrir howled in outrage as Karl, stupid, brainless Karl, leapt on top of him and began biting. He thrashed about, banging Karl against the tree to knock him off. He would teach the foolish pup not to challenge him and take away his chosen one.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe heard the unfamiliar howl, and went in the direction, just in case Karl and/or Dragos needed help. When she got there, she saw Karl attacking Greyback, and then saw his new pup and Dragos heading towards the school. Chloe saw Greyback sling Karl against a tree. She howled, but figured that Karl could handle himself just for a little while longer. Chloe ran up to Dragos and the new pup, and motioned for them to follow her on up to the school, and to keep up. She broke into a run towards the school.

[Karl]

karl was thrown off of Greyback and he banged his head against the thick solid trunk. No matter, though, it was only his head. Karl charged at Greyback again with teeth bared and sank his teeth into Fenrir's neck.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris followed the werewolf that just showed up at a run. She relised that they were going to the school. She didn't care she just knew that she didn't like Greyback, although he might be right about her family she didn't want to be with him.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe howled a little as if telling them to keep up. Once they reached the school, she stopped. She howled again as if telling them to stay there, and she was going to let Dragos take care of the new pup again for right now. Chloe figured that Karl may end up needing some kind of help, so she ran back in the direction that she came from.

[Fenrir Greyback]

Fenrir lashed out at Karl with his claws, slashing Karl's face and neck. Snarling viciously, he pushed forward, knocking Karl off of his feet. He almost smiled as he moved closer, ready to deliver a killing bite.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris sat down then looked at the castle and cocked her head to the side, it seemed different somehow, like she was seeing it in a new light. She thought about Remus and felt proud that she had protected him this time. She might have failed him last time but she knew she hadn't this time.

[Karl]

Karl yelped in pain as Greyback slashed at his face. Blood began gushing from the wound, and he collapsed on the ground as Greyback moved in closer, a menacing growl rumbling in his throat.

[Fenrir Greyback]

Greyback advanced closer, seeing that Karl was weakened. He was enjoying the fight too much to end it yet. With one great swipe with his claws, he slashed again across Karl's shoulder, throwing him to one side as the claws dug into his flesh.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe finally got back to where the fight was going on. She saw Greyback taking control of the fight, and felt bad for Karl. She had to do something. Chloe growled loudly and ran towards Greyback and jumping on him, sinking in her teeth and claws into his back.

[Fenrir Greyback]

When Chloe leapt on top of him, Greyback howled angrily again. Pain ripped through his shoulder, and he lost his balance and hit the ground, throwing her off of him. He raised his hackles and growled deeply, looking at the two that dared to challenge him. His new pup was already gone, off with the wolf he didn't recognize. He could probably defeat these two if he tried, but it wasn't worth it. The pup was gone. Angrily, he howled again and slashed at the air in front of Chloe. Apparently he had been too free in making new pups. He had definitely chosen poorly with Chloe. He gave one last short bark to let her know this wasn't over, then he turned abruptly and ran off into the forest.

[Karl]

Karl whimpered softly, thanking Chloe for helping him out. He felt weak, but the bleeding was already starting to slow down. The important thing was that they had separated Fenrir from his newest pup. She would be safe.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe watched as Fenrir ran off into the forest, glad that he wasn't going to take another child, although, she felt bad for the girl. She walked over to Karl and nuzzled his neck, as if asking if he was going to be okay.

[Karl]

Karl whimpered softly, then got to his feet. He was able to stand, but he couldn't put full pressure on his front leg. He licked Chloe's face quickly to let her know he was all right.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe tilted her head down to show that she understood, and then motioned for them to head back to the woods, and then to the house, once they got to Zander, because she knew that Karl was going to have to get cleaned up in the morning.
