She turned back around and looked at him, still blushing but tried to smile. She felt shivers go up her arm when he touched her but she didn't know why. She looked up into his eyes and her smile widend. "You have really pretty eyes. Has anyone ever told you that?" She asked, sounding tired.

Axel blinked a couple of times when Vanessa said that. "No." Axel said. "I...uh, I don't really get a lot of complements," Axel said awkwardly. "But thank you," he said, smiling. He ran a hand through his hair and surpressed a yawn. They were both getting tired, and probably soon they should head back to their supposedly incorrect houses and sleep. But not yet.

She smiled. "Neither do I. But I tend to give them. I can usually find the good things in people that no one else sees." She said with her usual sweet smile. She was happy that for some reason she didn't run away at the sight of the Slytherin boy.

Axel was glad he hadn't run away when he ran into Vanessa that evening. They were both standing and He looked up toward the sky again. The stars had moved since he first got up to the tower. They had been there a good long while.
"Tired?" Axel asked, he could hear the sleepiness in her voice.

She smiled sheepishly and nodded. "Yeah, although I'm trying to stay awake now. I'm not ready to go back to a house I don't belong in." She joked rolling her eyes.

"Well," Axel said slowly. "We wouldn't want you to fall asleep up here," Axel said, thinking about what would happen if the next Astronomy class were to come up here and find the two of them asleep. "Why don't I walk you back to Gryffindor tower?" He smiled after offering, he thought it the least he could do, since she's the one who invited him after he ran into her, initiating their new friendship.

She frowned. She didn't really want to leave but figured it was best. "Yeah, I suppose. But then you have to walk all the way back down to the dungeons alone." She said and pouted. "And what if you get caught?"

She seemed tired, and Axel realized that Vanessa was probably up at the Astronomy tower way before he had arrived. He stepped toward her and offered his arm, acting the gentleman, but a playfulness was in his eyes. "Shall we?"

Vanessa grinned at his gentlemanly attempt and took his arm. "I suppose I can't say no to that face." She teased and walked with him, although she was sad to have to leave.

"No one really can," Axel joked, but he still blushed slightly. As the door to the astronomy tower closed behind him, Axel sighed a little. "I'll have to come back here once and a while," Axel said. "It's nice to get away from all the house expectancies and prejudices."

"I know what you mean. It's my favorite place in the castle." She said with a bright smile at him. She officially decided that this boy was cute and she wouldn't mind talking to him after that night. She hoped he felt the same.

I think itll be mine too," Axel said with a grin. They made their way to the Gryffindor common room, "We'll have to meet up there again," Axel smiled. "Good night Vanessa." Axel said, slightly dissapointed that they had to part.
As he began to walk away, a thought struck him and he turned around. "Hey Vanessa?"
