As the outcast of the family, he had been kicked out of the family as soon as possible. Constantine never agreed with the views that his parents had. He made up his mind to move out as soon as he was finished with school anyway, so it helped to see hiw family willing to just push him out.
Naturally, Constantine was not cut off from his family entirely. His little sister Cadence, and his two little brothers, Quincy and Damon, were the ones that he still talked to. Well, there was also Anton, but they only talked every once in awhile. As for his twin, Cassius, ties had be pretty much all cut between them. They were just on complete opposite ends and couldn't really stand each other. If push come to shove and Constantine had to save his brother from life or death, Constantine knew that he would probably save Cassius. After all, he was still his brother.
Right now, Constantine was off on his own. The death of Roland hadn't gone unheard from his ears. Roland was only a year older than Constantine, and that just reminded him that anyone could go at anytime. Shaking off those thoughts, he walked into the Leaky Cauldron.
Greeting Tom, he ordered a butterbeer for the time being. To Constantine, it was a little too early to start actually drinking, so he'd settle for one of his favorite drinks. After thinking him, Constantine walked over to an empty table and removed his cloak before sitting down.

Damon was a regular at the Leaky Cauldron. There were days where he spent the whole day there, just sitting and drinking and flirting with the girls. He really just didn't have that much else to do, so he just spent most of his time in leisure activities. That made most of the family think he was lazy or unmotivated, but he wasn't really. He was just lost and didn't know how to find his way.
Today, he wandered into the Leaky Cauldron after spending his morning being lectured by his parents. He needed a good stiff drink. But as he entered, he was surprised to see a familiar face.
Constantine was instantly recognizable from his twin. Though they appeared identical, there was always a cloud over Cassius, whereas Constantine was always... light. No one ever got them confused. "Hey, Constantine," he said, slipping into the seat across from his brother. "Long time, no see. You just get back into town?"

Constantine thought about reaching over to the empty table beisde him and grabbing the Daily Prophet, but he decided against it. He was feeling a little to lazy to do so. In addition to that, he wasn't sure if he wanted to read what was going on at the moment.
As the finally set his mug down from taking a long drink from it, Constantine glanced up and saw Damon. "Well, well," he said smiling. He had started to grow facial hair while he was away. Constatine never found the time to actually shave. Usually he was far to tired to do anything more than just shower.
"Damon. Its good to see you. Yeah, just got back this morning. Thought I would stop by here and grab something to drink before settling back into my apartment for some rest. What have you been doing since I've been gone? Haven't gotten into too much trouble have you?"

Damon waved a barmaid over and gave the girl a wink. "Hey, love. Could you bring me a glass of firewhiskey? Thanks."
Then he turned back to Constantine, a bright smile on his face. "Trouble? Me? Is that what you think of me? Don't you know I'm a regular paragon of virtue?"
It was true, he sometimes got into trouble. A little too much alcohol, a little too much flirting... And he sometimes ended up in some unfamiliar place with some girl whose name he didn't know. But other times, he just ended up not doing much of anything.
"I was worried about you. I heard an auror was killed the other night. I'm glad to see you're doing OK."

He started to laugh. "Sure, sure," he said. "I happened to just forget about that one. I'm sorry Mr. Virtue." Constantine looked teasingly at his brother.
The barmaid returned with Damon's firewhiskey and refilled Constantine's butterbeer. "Thanks sweetheart," he said before she turned around. Getting into too much trouble was never Constantine's thing. That's not to say that he was always Mr. Perfect, because he was far from that.
Hearing at least someone was worried made him feel calm. There were probably only two or three people in the world that would have been worried if something were to happen to him. "You don't have to worry about me," he said like it was no big deal. "And I heard about that too. He was one of the best actually." Constantine took a drink from his mug. "And I'm glad to see that you're doing OK yourself. There's no black eye from hitting on another man's girlfriend." At that, he gave Damon a wide grin.

"Not this week," Damon said with a grin. "I mean, really, unless there's a ring on the girl's finger, she's pretty much fair game, you know what I mean? I can hardly be blamed if it's not clear, can I?"
Taking a sip from his drink, Damon's expression became serious. "But really... of course I'm gonna worry about you. If you say this guy who died was one of the best, and he was still killed... well, that just proves it can be anyone. I don't know about anyone else in the family, but I'd miss you if something happened to you. I just hope you'll be careful."

Constantine laughed again. "You do have a good point."
He really did want to have someone to worry about him but Constantine would not admit to that openly. "Yes, anyone of us could go and that includes you. I just go after the people that could cause people harm. I chose to take that risk and I'm going to keep on choosing it." Taking another drink, his eyebrows rose. "You and Cadence would be the only two that would probably miss me, but don't worry about that. I don't plan on leaving this world anytime soon."

Damon frowned slightly. "I guess that's true. Even the people who aren't really involved either way could be killed. Like the people in Hogsmeade. They were just minding their own business."
Damon was severely troubled by the whole thing. He knew that both Anton and Cassius, at least, were members of the group called the death eaters. They had been vaguely trying to get him to join. Quincy wanted to join, as soon as he was old enough. But Damon was holding back. He didn't see why killing innocent people was a good idea.
"Anyway, besides work, what have you been up to?" he asked, trying to change the subject. He didn't really want to dwell on the darkness for too long.

"Other than work? Jeez, that's a tough question Damon," Constantine said with a joking tone. "Honestly? Nothing. Just work, eating whenever I have time, and trying to sleep. That's about it. My life is sort of boring at the moment, outside of work." He gave a shrug. He knew that Damon was trying to change the topic, and quite honestly Constantine didn't really like talking to him about the 'dark' stuff. In a way, he wanted to keep his brother sheltered if he could.
"So, since my life has been boring, that means that you and I need to go out for a night. Sometime soon maybe?"

Damon let out a laugh. "You want to go out for a night with me? I don't know, Con. Think you can keep up with me?"
Damon didn't go out partying all that often, but when he did, he really let loose. He was actually pretty wild at times. He was rather well known for this, and a couple of the more respectable clubs had banned him from their establishments. And yet, at other times, he could be the best behaved, respectable citizen. He was always looking for balance.
"Yeah, we can do it, if you want. Oh, and we're having another family dinner tomorrow night. I know Cass won't be thrilled, but you're invited to come, of course."

"Oh, are you sure that you should be asking me that question," he asked with a grin. "I should be the one asking you if you think you can keep up with me." Constantine knew that Damon partied from time to time. He could keep up with his brother no problem. It didn't matter how wild things got, Constantine would make sure he kept up with Damon.
Family dinner? He couldn't remember the last time he ever went to one of those. "I appreciate your offer," he started. He didn't like the idea that Cassius would be there. Anton, he could deal with, Cassius not so much. After all, they never spoke to one another. "I'm going to be a little busy the next couple of days since I just got back. Paper work and all has to be done. If you had it on a different night, I would actually go, but seeing as how its tomorrow, I can't. Honestly, I'm sorry. I'm just a little behind and if I work nonstop for the next two days, I'll be all caught up."

Damon was disappointed, of course. It didn't seem right to have a family get-together without all of the family there. Even though, whenever Constantine and Cassius were in the same place at the same time, Damon was the one who had to referree their fights. But then, that was what he was best at. After all, both Cassius and Constantine were both still alive.
"Yeah, OK," he said. "It's bad timing, I know. I didn't even know you'd be in town, actually. But we should definitely make plans to go out... next week, maybe?"

"Maybe next time there's a family dinner, I can make a surprise appearance. That would be entertaining, don't you think?" Everytime Cassius and Constantine were around each other, it seemed like they would find something to argue over, or they would just ignore each other completely even if they were in the same room together. Constantine did hate the idea that he was on bad terms with his twin, but that was the way the dice rolled and apparently they were not going to be friends again anytime soon.
"Next week sounds great. It will give me time to finish everything and be ready to relax. I'll let you even pick the place we go to."

Damon grinned. "I'll be sure to let you know when the next one is," he said. "Cassius hates when I do that, but I know Cadence, at least, will be glad to see you."
He still couldn't quite understand how it was that the twins could look so alike and act so differently. It mystified Damon. But he guessed it was just one of the mysteries of nature. But he was sure, if he had a twin, that he would try harder to get along with him. Not that he thought Constantine didn't try... but Cassius certainly didn't.
"Hm... any place I want? Well, I'm kind of banned from going to Spellbound... a little incident about a month ago... you don't want to know. But have you been to Enchanted?"

"I know he does, but then again you can't ever please everyone," said Constantine. "There's always going to be an oddball." He decided that he was going to actually show up at the next family dinner. It would more than likely be a shock to all, except Damon who knew that he would be coming. After all, he hadn't seen Cadence in awhile and he needed to know how his little sister was doing.
Constantine laughed when Damon said he was banned from Spellbound. Usually, someone would have asked why, but he knew the words 'you don't want to know' were never followed with why when it came to Damon. "Enchanted? I don't think so. The last time I went to a club was with you before you got banned from Spellbound."

"I wish you two got along better," Damon said. "The family doesn't feel right wiithout all of us together. And I know it's not your fault... Cassius is stubborn as a mule, you know? I don't know what gets into him. He's so angry all the time."
He sighed. There wasn't really anything he could do about it now. Ultimately, the only one who could change the situation was Cassius. He just had to want to change his relationship with his twin. But so far, he didn't seem to want that.
"Yeah, Enchanted is pretty cool. A little more modern than Spellbound. Plus the girls are hotter. You should totally go with me. How's next Wednesday? It's Ladies' Night...."

Again Constantine laughed. "There's nothing ever wrong with a place that has hotter girls." At the mention of next Wednesday, he thought about it for a moment. "It'll be Ladies' Night, hm? I think that I can fit in going to Enchanted next Wednesday with you. After all, as you said it will be Ladies' Night." Constantine gave him a grin.
"I believe that we'll have quite the night." He took a drink and the raised his eyebrows to his brother. "Think I should shave between now and then or just continue to let this grow out," he asked rubbing his chin.

Damon laughed and gave his brother a playful punch in the arm. "Don't be stupid, Con. Everyone knows that when a club has Ladies Night, it's the best time for guys to go. The girls have half priced drinks, so they all come out, and the guys go to meet girls. Last Wednesday, I met this girl... She was something else, I'm telling you."
He took a sip from his drink and sat back to eye Constantine appraisingly. "Well, it all depends on the kind of girls you like. The good girls usually like the clean-shaven type, and the bad girls like a little facial hair. I usually try not to shave for a couple of days when I'm planning to go out. Although... nothing's better than turning a good girl into a bad girl..." He added with a wink.

He shook his head and smiled again. "Well, you can count me in for Wednesday. I need to have some fun in my life instead of just work."
Constantine pretended to think for a moment. "Mmm. Turning good girls into bad ones is quite entertaining to say the least. I'll think I'll go for the clean shaven look. After all, there's nothing wrong with being able to draw in a good girl." He gave Damon a wide grin. "But you can't end up at my place with anyone. You ended up doing that once, and once was enough for me," Constantine said laughing.

Damon look disappointed, but his eyes were still dancing with laughter. "Aw, man.... I was hoping I could bring a girl to your place... I can't tell them I still live with my parents." He sighed and shook his head. "Guess I'll just have to go to the girl's place... it really cramps my style, though. I really need to get a place of my own. But Mum and Dad won't give me the money to do it, at least not until my trust fund kicks in at 21. They want me to... get a job! Can you imagine?"
Actually, his parents had given him a choice: Get a job, or join the death eaters like his brothers. If he did one of those things, they would get him a place of his own right now. But he couldn't decide on a job and he didn't think he wanted to be a death eater, so he was stuck.
