Remus slipped away from the rest of the group and headed towards the woods to meet with Zander. He hoped Kris had been able to get away as easily. As he walked, he had no idea he was being watched.

Kris had to pretend she was asleep and wait for the others to either pretend to be asleep like her or go to sleep. After the lights had went out she got dressed then got her wand and made her way to the woods. She lit her wand so she wouldn't trip over something, she looked around for her brother.

Remus heard a sound approaching and turned quickly, his wand held in front of him. "Who's there?" he whispered.

Dean watched silently as Remus, then another girl, slipped into the forest. He wondered if they were involved in something inappropriate or illegal. Smiling to himself, he followed behind the girl, keeping himself at a safe distance. He tried not to make any noise as he picked carefully through the brush and branches of the forest. If those two rotten kids were up to something, he was going to catch them in the act.

Remus shook his head. "No, I haven't seen anyone." He stopped and sniffed the air the way Pearl had taught him. "I think I smell something... let's try over that way." He pointed off to the left.

"I just slipped away after dinner. It was hard, though, that jerk Dean kept staring at me. I think he knows me and James are planning something against him. But we wouldn't have to, if he'd stop being so nasty and just leave us alone." He was sort of babbling, he realized, but it was because he was scared. He was already starting to feel the effects of the full moon, even though it hadn't risen yet. It was pulling on him, dragging him down. And he was walking deep into the woods in the near-darkness, and he didn't know if he would be able to find Zander. Suddenly he heard a loud snap coming from behind them. He took out his wand and let go of Kris's hand. "Zander?" he whispered shakily.

"He's a Slytherin though, they're suppose to be jerks." Kris said before he had turned around. She turned as well and rose her lit wand to see if it would help them see who was there.

Dean knew he was caught. He cursed under his breath and stepped out from behind the trees. "What was that about playing a trick on me?" he said harshly. "Is that what you two little brats are doing out here in the woods after hours? You're not supposed to be out here. I could get you two thrown out for this!"

Remus gulped. The moon was almost at the horizon, he could feel it in his bones. He'd be changing in mere minutes. "Dean, go back now!" he yelled. "This is none of your business, OK? Just go, before it's too late!"

Kris had a strange feeling, she didn't know what it meant but she knew the Slytherin needed to leave. She looked around and mumbled so Dean couldn't hear, "Zander, where are you?"

Zander heard voices up ahead and he hurried over to find Remus and Kris. When he spotted Kris, he whispered, "Hey, come on, let's go. We only have another minute or two left." He looked past her and saw Remus talking to another boy. "Remus, come on, we have to go. Tell your friend to go back."

"That's the counsler for Remus' group, h-he must have followed us." Kris said to Zander. "He's really mean too." She moved over to Zander and looked back at Dean. "He's right, Dean, you need to go back."

"I'm not his friend!" Dean yelled. "And I'm not going back. Noth without you two. You aren't supposed to be out here. And who the hell are you?" he demanded, glaring at the older guy who had just walked up. "You need to get out of here, now!"

"Dean... go... now..." Remus groaned. He bent down almost against his will and got down on his knees. "You.... you have to.... go.... NOW!" His bones ached and his skin prickled.

Zander could feel the prickling of his skin and the very beginning of his bones beginning to crack and rearrange. "Kris..." he said to the girl, "grab Remus and run... run now, as fast as you can until you can't run anymore!"

Kris nodded then went over to Remus. "Come on, we gotta go." She said to him forgetting about Dean being there. She pulled him up then putting her arm around his waist and his around her neck she tried to run.

"Come back here!" yelled Dean as the girl grabbed Remus and ran off. He glared at the other guy. "Who are you, anyway? What are you doing here?" He pointed his wand at the guy.

Zander began to shake violently. He could feel his bones beginning to crack and the hair sprout through his skin. "Kid... you'd better go... now... full moon..." He dropped to his knees and gritted his teeth against the pain.
