Paige kept her mouth shut during all of this. It intrigued her, the possibility that the body might not belong to Roland. It was true... death eaters, based on her understanding of them, did not exactly seem like the types to be respectful and caring of their fellow death eaters. If Ms Neves had killed one of them, wouldn't they have just left the victim behind? It wasn't likely that he could be traced back to them.
"It's all very strange," she agreed. "Is there any way to know whether he was dead before the explosion hit?"

"I don't know," he said. "But maybe the healers could somehow tell us that." Daniel was still iffy about this reporter knowing what went on, even if she was going to wait until the press release from the Auror Office. "We're hoping that the identification could show some kind of light."
Daniel glanced to Sean. There was something a little off with his brother, like something was about to happen with him. That was why he questioned the weird question the way he did. Once the girl left, Daniel was going to make sure to ask him about it.

Paige really wanted to stick around and find out more about the story, but she knew enough to write the initial story, anyway. As it was, half of it she was probably going to be forced to keep quiet for the time being anyway. And Daniel clearly wanted her gone.
"OK," she said. "Look... I understand you two have to do your investigation, and I'm getting in the way now. Please, contact me as soon as you have any official information that you can release, OK? I don't want to intrude on your investigation, or upset his family in any way... I just want the public to know what kind of guy we lost tonight. He was a hero, and I think everyone deserves to know that. There aren't many heroes left these days." She shook her head, then extended her hand to Daniel. "Thanks again for your time, both of you."

Daniel looked down to her hand and then stretched out his own and shook hers. "And thank you for your information Ms. Owen," he said. He had a small thing about the reporters getting into their investigations. This reporter however wasn't as pushy as the other ones. She was willing to help them.
"And we'll let you know when we have that official information. You'll probably be getting something tomorrow afternoon."

Paige frowned. Tomorrow afternoon? How on earth was she supposed to wait that long? The paper came out in the morning. Maybe if she did it all as "unconfirmed reports." She had to have something to print.
"OK. Thanks. I'll wait to hear from you."
She held her hand out to Sean. "Thanks again for everything. It was good seeing you again."
