"Well, I do have to say, cooking omelets is something that I'm confident at," he reassured her with his usual playful tone. "Knowing that you could do something morbid to me, makes me want to make sure that I can cook something I'm good at." Fabian winked at her and followed her back to the living room.
"I think I'm alright for the moment to be honest." Riley's hoping was correct. She was far from boring him. "Although if you want, I can go fix you something to drink, if you tell me were it is."

Riley looked at him like he was crazy. "No, I'm fine. It's my apartment, I'm the only hostess allowed here," she teased, especially considering that she already made him cook.
Taking a bite of the omellette, she pretended to consider it. "I guess this is worthy," she teased again, then broke into a shy smile, which was strange for her. "It's good."
Settling back into the couch, she folded her legs under her. "So tell me more about your family. You keep mentioning them, so I assume you're close?"

Fabian laughed. The look she gave him was one that his brother and sister would give him from time to time. "Alright, alright. I was just trying to be gentlemanly."
He was already back in his relaxed pose, leaning against the back of the couch. Swallowing the piece of omelet that was in his mouth, Fabian nodded. "Yes. We're pretty close. Molly likes attempting to be like a mother to me and Gideon." He grinned. "And we like to tease her, naturally. I like teasing Gideon too. But we are close and that has always been how it is. It's pretty much like, you miss with one, you mess with all."

"Well, the gentlemanly effort is appreciated, Fabian, but I asked you over and I did already make you cook, so you can relax now."
"Molly's the youngest, isn't she?" Riley guessed by the Fabian described her. It was weird, but it was usually the younger ones that tried to take such good care of their brothers like that.
"Anyway, it sounds like you have a great family."

"Yes, she is," he said with a nod. "Sometimes I do forget that she's younger than us really." Fabian gave Riley a goofy grin. "You would like them I think. Gideon might give you a hard time however. That's just Gideon. And Molly, well, I'm not sure about Molly. I think she would like you."
Fabian shrugged then finished eating his omelet. Once he was finished, he set his plate in his lap and took a drink of what he had in his glass. "I appreciate you giving me a chance to show that I'm actually an alright cook," he said with a laugh.

Riley smiled. "I'm more worried about Molly than I am Gideon, to be honest. Sisters are dangerous. Especially the younger ones." She wasn't actually kidding. Girls that had older brothers tended to be so fiercely protective. They were scarier to cross than a protective older brother, she reasoned.
She smiled a little when he said she might like his family. It wasn't exactly an invitation to come meet them, but it was pretty close.
She finally set her own finished plate aside. "Honestly, thank you, Fabian, for the help with the wine, and cooking, and the company. Actually... I hate to do this to you, but I have to work really early, and I just realized how late it actually was."
She didn't want him to think she was just getting rid of him, and she had no problem being bold enough to ask, so she added, "Would you be available for lunch or something sometime this week?"

"It's alright. I have to be over there kind of early myself," he said. At the mention of being available for lunch or something this week, Fabian couldn't help but smile. "Are, are you asking me out on a date Ms. Neves," he asked teasingly. He gave a laugh and nodded. "Yes, I'm free just about anytime. Just let me know when you want to go and I will see what I have, and more than likely I can go. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to food, and of course spending time with a beautiful woman." He gave her a wink.

Riley smiled, though it was soft and almost shy. Almost. "I'm only asking if you're saying yes." Fabian didn't let her be shy, either, and she found that she quite liked it.
"Well, good," she said, getting to her feet and taking both of their empty plates into the kitchen. "I'll actually remember to take at least one lunch break this week." She smiled again, glad that this went fairly well. She didn't really date or do things like this, so it was a pleasant surprise that it worked out.

Fabian, with wine glass in hand, followed Riley into the kitchen so that he could put his empty glass in the sink. "Good. We'll have fun while we go to lunch. It'll be a little stress reliever from whatever the days bring." He gave her a smile.
"Well, time surely has flown by, and I appreciate everything Riley. I had a great time tonight. I'm looking forward to lunch one afternoon." He grew quite for a moment, which made it seem he was contemplating something. "Would you mind it if I kissed you goodnight?"

"I look forward to lunch, too," she said.
Riley gave him a look and raised her eyebrows, but a smile followed soon after. "Don't ask if it's okay, Fabian. Just do it."
That should have been as good as a yes to him, and she honestly couldn't be more pleased with the way things were going.

In response, he gave her another smile and then closed the distance between them. Fabian gave her an innocent, sweet, gentle kiss. "Night Riley," he said pulling away from her. A boyish like smile appeared on his face. "I'll see you if not tomorrow around the office, then some day this week."
Fabian made his way to the door and opened it. "And, thanks again."

Riley followed him to the door, a smile on her lips as well. He still tasted like the wine, and it lingered on her lips.
"Thank you, Fabian," she said in return. "I'm glad I ran into you."
