When he sat down, Jackie pulled herself to him, putting her arms around him. It was a huge relief to see him all right, but it was also a relief to have someone to focus on other than Dean. She was shaking still, though she didn't know how to stop it, and she sighed slowly.
"I don't remember," she said. "The guy in the Three Broomsticks fired a curse at me, but then I was pretty out of it until a couple minutes ago." Dean knew what happened, but she didn't want to ask him. "Dean brought me here," she whispered very quietly.

Cara didn't notice Roland come in. Even if her eyes hadn't be clamped shut, her tears were so thick they would have blurred her vision. She heard his voice, though, and in an instant, she was on her feet and pulling her oldest son into her arms.
Her family was back together, everyone except Suri, but she had her children, and her nieces and nephews. Samantha and Jamie were the worst off, but they were all here.
"I was so worried about you, Roland," she whispered, her voice wavering. "Tell me you're okay."

Roland made no attempt to pull away from her, knowing that right now, she needed this. "I'm fine, Mum. I'm not hurt... not even a scratch, I promise. I was with Riley, and we were fighting the death eaters together.... she's back in Hogsmeade with Dumbledore and Angelique and Vincent, trying to assess the damage. I'm very sorry I scared you... if I had known about Cyrus and Jamie, I would have come back sooner. What happened to Cyrus?"

Cara was quiet for a moment, trying to regain her composure before she pulled away from Roland, wiping at her eyes. "Mathieu found him," she said. "He was hit with the Cruciatus, and there were two girls with him." She didn't bother to look around to see if the girls were still around or not, but she looked to Mathieu, not knowing if he could fill in any more of the blanks or not.
"I'm just so glad you're okay."

He looked over at Jamie worriedly, then sighed. "I saw him in Hogsmeade... he and Ama were cornered... Riley and I got him away from them, and I told Jamie to take Ama back to the school. I don't understand... Liam said Jamie went back... why would he do that? If I had known..."
He took his mother's hands in his and squeezed them lightly. "I'm really fine. I'm glad you're OK, too. I saw some really awful things back there..."

Mathieu's expression was grim. "Near as I can understand, Jamie went back for one of the girls that was with him when I found him." He paused, looking around for the girl, but didn't see her anywhere. "He was worried about her and thought he could help. After we brought Cyrus here, I went back, looking for you, and Jamie, and your Aunt Suri. I don't suppose you saw her while you were in Hogsmeade, did you? I gave up looking when I found Jamie..."

Jamie didn't like hearing people cry, and he didn't like being worried about. He had finally gotten a grasp of the situation, and from what he had gathered Cyrus was injured as well. Jamie sat up slowly, hand on his head. It was throbbing slightly, enough to let Jamie put it in the back of his mind.
"I think that Cyrus is worse off then I," he said lightly. "I'm fine. Thank you for your help, guys."
He was expecting to be yelled at or chastised, but he was secretly looking around for Scarlette. No one had said anything about her, or if she was ohkay. The hospital had doubled in size, and he couldn't distinguish the injured from everyone else.

"Yea, I know," Alenna said, looking back to Nolan, who was still under the careful care of Madame Pomfrey. "Madame Pomfrey's got him though, I'm sure Nolan will be fine." Alenna's free hand was resting on Julia's shoulder. She looked back to Jeremy. "I was just making sure." Jeremy smiled bravely. "I'm sure he will. Madam Pomfrey knows what she's doing. And Nolan is tough. But... when you think about it... this could have been any of us. People were killed today... maybe someone we were sitting next to at dinner last night. It's scary, you know? How short life can be and how suddenly it can end? It makes you think... maybe you shouldn't waste your life... maybe you should make the most of it. Like... well, like this." And with that, he leaned in and kissed her.

We were worried! Cyrus is conscious now... and you... and Roland is here..." What had seemed bleak and hopeless just a few minutes before, suddenly seemed more positive. Jamie and Cyrus were awake and both seemed fine. Amandine and Roland were both unharmed. He'd feared the worst for his family, and instead, they were all back together again. "You're not going to chase us away that easily, Jamie," he said. "You gave us quite a scare."

"Jamie!"
They were all conscious now, thank Merlin. She didn't know what she would do if she ever lost one of her children. Just seeing them injured killed her inside. But she shouldn't worry about that... they were all awake and Mathieu promised her everything would be all right. She believed him, though that was obviously easier now that they were all awake.
"How do you feel, Jamie?" She asked, not quite letting go of Roland, even though her attention was on her youngest son.

Jamie looked around for a second, seeing injured still trickling in and he thought that his injuries were minour enough that he should empty a bed. There were dead and dying, and he was just sitting here. But there was a full team of aurors out there, and he settled for leaning back for a second to comprehend abit more.
He gave his mom as cheerful as a smile as he could muster, "I'm pretty good, Mum. I'm sorry." Jamie felt like apologizing seemed like what he should do. THey must have thought him a lot worse off if they had all been around. He shook his hair out of his eyes, and took a deep breathe.

And with that, he leaned in and kissed her. Alenna was nodding along, in total agreement with what Jeremy way saying. Life was too short, we had to make the most of it the best we could. And then suddenly he stopped, and when Alenna looked over to Jeremy, he was leaning in, and when he kissed her, she kissed him back. She smiled against his lips. "Was that making the most of it?" she asked, smiling wider and looking into his eyes.

Jeremy's cheeks turned red, but he didn't look away. "Er... yeah... that was the general idea," he said. "I hope you don't mind... I just... you know, if we just keep waiting for our lives to happen, they'll be over before they ever really get started. I don't want to be that way anymore. I've liked you for so long, Alenna... and I don't know why I ever waited to do that. But now that I have... I'm glad I did it."

The important thing right now is for you to get some rest, OK?" He reached over and gave Jamie's hand a quick squeeze, then turned back to his mother. "Mum, I think Ama needs to rest, too. Now that you see that I'm OK, I think I'm going to take Ama back to her common room to get some rest. It's been a scary, traumatic day for everyone."

Liam had been hanging by quietly, in the background. He was relieved when his cousin woke up, and relieved when Aunt Cara seemed to relax, even if just a little. Now he just wished he knew where his mother was. She was the only one unaccounted for.
"I'll take her back, Roland," Liam said, standing to attention. He had been taking care of her before Roland got there anyway, and they had the same common room. "I'll take Sheena back, too."

Roland nodded at Liam. "OK... that sounds good. In that case... I should probably get back to Hogsmeade and see if I can help with the cleanup. And I'll send Aunt Suri over, if I see her, so you know she's OK. I just... you know, it's chaos here, and I think the fewer healthy people that are hanging around, the better."
He touched his mother's arm. "Will you be OK if I go back to Hogsmeade? I don't want to make you worry about me."

She vaguely heard her name and something about going to the common room with Liam and Sheena. "I want to stay with Jamie and Cyrus though," Ama said, her hand still holding Jamie's arm. She had to agree though that she was tired. She was afraid that if she fell asleep though, that she'd have nightmares about what she saw and what she heard back in the villiage. The very though gave her shivers.

Nolan didn't wake up until Madam P moved him to a bed, and even then, his response time was slow and he felt sluggish. He didn't know how he got here, but he recognized Julia right off, and knew that he was going to be in major trouble for this. "There was Kriptonite," he murmured, smiling weakly for sake. Madame Pomfrey moved Nolan to a spare bed and Julia followed, staying close to Nolan's side. It had been a while and the effects of the day had started to ware on Ju, and she was tired. But when Nolan finally spoke, Julia was suddenly awake. "Kriptonite?" Julia half laughed. She vaguely remembered her dad talking about some muggle comic book when she was little. "Like, Superman's weakness?" she laughed again, feeling confused. Nolan smiled. "Yeah, like Superman," he said. "I told you I was a superhero, remember?" It was his excuse for getting hurt. Every superhero had their weakness. He couldn't really move his head because it would throb, and then he would feel dizzy for thirty seconds. "Are you guys okay?" He asked, frowning suddenly. "You and Jeremy and Alenna?"

"Yea, Superman," Julia shook her head at Nolan and suppressed rolling her eyes. She looked behind her and raised her eyebrows at Jeremy and Alenna, who she had caught a glimpse of kisssing before turning back to Nolan and laughing. "Jeremy and Alenna are doing great. Jeremy was really brave," she said. "Especially when we saw you."
"I was pretty scared though..." Julia said, a little surprised she admitted it.
