OWL for Ashura

Dear Ashura,

I wanted to write you a quick note to let you know, Rochelle and I are safe. We're staying in one place for now, but I can't tell you where that is, in case someone else should find this letter before you. Just know that we are safe and happy together. I hope you are doing well. I miss you. Please be careful, and don't worry about me. We'll be together again soon.

Ashura found the letter and as she stared at it some of the words started to make sense, like she could read some but not all. She could read her name and a few of the words she would have to wait until after the moon to take it to Zander for him to help her with it.

As the time of the full moon drew near, Quinn headed out into the forest, close to the cave where she had met Ashura. She had decided that the girl needed to learn a little lesson about what happened to people who messed with her. By positioning herself nearby, she would be ready when the full moon rose.

Ashura hid the letter in her cave under the sitting rock right before the moon rose. She was near the entrance when the moon beams hit her. Her knees buckled and her breathing got ragged as her bones started changing. After changing she stood there almost as if she was unsure of what she should do.

[Quinn]

As the moon rose, Quinn threw back her head and howled joyfully at the feeling of her bones cracking and rearranging. She loved this time most of all, when she was able to be her true self. Once she was fully transformed, she bounded in the direction of the cave and let out a warning howl.

Ashura heard the howl, it was the first time someone was at her cave on the full moon. She slowly went out of the cave and looked around. She knew the normal wolves stayed away from there around this time. She looked around trying to see if she could spot whoever it was, she didn't know if Korbel was going to show or not.

[Quinn]

Quinn stood still for a moment, listening and sniffing the air. Yes, she could smell the girl, and she could hear the sounds of movement ahead. She crept forward as quietly as she could, as if she were stalking her prey. When she got close to the clearing, she abruptly charged forward and jumped out, her teeth bared. She let out a low warning growl deep in her throat.

Ashura recinized the scent, it was Quinn, she stepped back not really wanting to fight. Though Ashura would fight if that was what Quinn wanted.

[Quinn]

Quinn noticed that she was backing off, but she was definitely more in the mood for a fight. She moved closer, still growling deep in her throat.

Ashura thought about running but knew that it would give the other wolf the advantage. Ashura lowered her head growling as if telling her to back off. She was starting to feel trapped, but she wasn't going to make the first move.

[Quinn]

Quinn saw that the girl wasn't going to run, and growled in return. She wasn't going to back down. Abruptly, she pounced, her teeth bared, onto the other wolf's shoulders, slashing fiercely with her claws.

[Kris Lupin]

Ashura slashed at Quinn's face with her claws then tried to push her off. She hadn't had to fight before so she was a little new at it.

[Quinn]

Quinn snarled angrily as Ashura slashed at her face. She moved back slightly, then jumped again, this time sinking her teeth into her shoulder.

[Kris Lupin]

Aahura yelped then pushed Quinn off her and as she got on her feet she lunged at the other wolf. She pushed her against a tree as she slashed her shoulders.

[Quinn]

Quinn roared in pain as Ashura slashed at her shoulders. She was backed against a tree, as Ashura stood on her hind legs. To back her off, Quinn slashed with her claws at Ashura's fragile underbelly.

Ashura got on all fours and backed off but never let her guard down. She wanted this wolf to leave her be but she knew she wasn't going to.

[Quinn]

Quinn growled and snapped at her, but missing. She jumped up and pushed on Ashura's shoulders with both paws.

Ashura growled as she struggled to get her off, though she knew Quinn was probably better at fighting then she was.

[Quinn]

Quinn pushed Ashura down and began to scratch and bite fiercely. Her goal was to get Ashura down on her back, to bite at her soft underbelly, where she was at her most vulnerable. Although Ashura was clearly inexperienced in fighting, she was still putting up a decent fight. Quinn barked angrily, warning her to give up. She wasn't trying to fight to the death, and she didn't even really want to seriously hurt the girl... at least, not yet. She just wanted her to give up.

Ashura didn't want to give up but she was starting to get tired and the pain was getting to her. She couldn't remember a time where she felt this much pain, finally she was on her back.
