An Old Friend

[Rori Logan]

Rori walked contently to the Great Hall for lunch. Everything was going extremely well. She had made a new friend, Emmeline, who she could tell everything to, and then of course there was Leo. Things were going great with Voltaire, Isabella, and Connor.

Hopefully she was going to meet with Emmeline and/or Leo for lunch. She wasn't sure if either of them were busy at the moment since she didn't have a class with them just before lunchtime.

The Ravenclaw table was pretty empty except for a few students sitting down. Rori walked over and sat in her usual sit before pouring herself a glass of pumpkin juice.

[Anonimus White]

Anonimus had been gone for a long time now, just a little over a year to be exact. He walked through the old familiar doors and smiled for the first time in a while. He had missed Hogwarts and all his old friends. It wasn't fun to have to just pick up and leave the way he did. He could still remember the last night he had here. Reading the letter over and over again as he packed. He didn't tell anyone he was leaving cause he didn't want to explain what had happened, not to mention he didn't have time to. He had to get home to take care of his little sister for a while.

He was headed up to the teachers table to talk to them about what all he had missed while he was gone. He was dreading this they would probably just set him a year back and he would be with all younger kids. He didn't mind though he liked all people. He sighed and made his way down the hall he had forgotten how big it really was. He was passing the Ravenclaw table and caught sight of someone.

'She is going to hate me now' he thought to himself. 'Just up and went away for a whole year no letter...no contact at all great move' he shook his head.

He walked over to her anyways. She looked a little different than he remembered a little older, but the same smile. "Hey...Rori" he said and tried to look as innocent as possible.

'Here it comes' he thought.

[Rori Logan]

The pitcher of pumpkin juice was sat carefully back on the table and Rori grabbed a few pieces of bread and a few other things to put on her plate. She thought about opening up one of her books just to keep herself occupied as she ate.

Of course, her thoughts scattered as she heard her name. The voice sounded familiar and she looked up. Her fork dropped to her plate as she saw the face that the voice belonged. Rori just stared at him for a moment before words would come to her. "Anonimus?"

[Anonimus White]

Anonimus did a sort of grin-awkward-smile type of thing and ran his hand through his hair. He assumed he looked a lot different now he used to be tall but he had still grown quite a bit. He had filled out in the arms with muscle and had more definition in his jaw line. His eyes had become a very bright blue and he had cut his hair a little bit, in the since that it was less in his face now. He had let the dye of his hair run out so it was now a nice dark brown.

He took a deep breath "Yeah...its me" he said. That is all he could really think to say. He looked down at her, "Miss me" he asked with a small smirk.

[Rori Logan]

Rori wasn't sure what to say. Anonimus had disappeared for a year and no word. A year had defintely changed him. His hair was brown and his hair shorter. His look now seemed to better suit him.

Her eyes met his. Things had changed yet again while he was gone. Of course she had missed him, after all he was really her first friend, not to mention she used to consider him a best friend as well. "Yes," Rori said after a moment. "How have you been?"

[Anonimus White]

Anonimus looked away for a minute, took a deep breath and sighed. "The truth...or what you want to hear" he asked his eyes losing a little bit of the glow they had when he had first walked in.

[Rori Logan]

She motioned for Anonimus to sit. A curious look crossed Rori's face as she noticed that his eyes seemed to darken slightly. She didn't want to make him sad, or anything. Rori wasn't going to push it if he didn't want to say it.

"Whichever you feel like saying," she said.

[Anonimus White]

He sat down next to her and looked at her, now that he was sitting you could start to tell just how much he had grown. He seemed to be almost a head taller than everyone at the table. He looked at her and bit his lip. He sat there thinking about what he was going to tell her. He knew one thing for sure he wasn't going to spill his guts right here in the great hall maybe later if things seemed right.

So he took a deep breath smiled and said "I've been great. How about you?"

He asked the last question with a little bit of hesitation Rori had been his best friend he just knew there would be some new person who took his place in his absence.

[Rori Logan]

Rori could tell that he was lying, but as she decided before she wasn't going to push it. A smile spread across her face as he said he'd been great. Of course that would be what she would have wanted to hear but that still brought a smile to her face nevertheless.

"I've been pretty good," she replied. "Although I'm not too sure about the rest of the school. There was a girl killed in the forest not too long ago. She was in Gryffindor. No one knows how it happened."

[Anonimus White]

Anonimus smiled when she said shed been great. 'Good' he thought to himself 'at least someone has been,' but just as he finished thinking that she proceeded to tell him of a girls death and he felt his smile fade. "Whoa...that is really sad" he said aloud but more to himself than anyone else.

He blinked and thought about everything that had happened on his side of the world and how death seemed to follow him everywhere. He shook his head and came back to the conversation. He smiled at her "Well I'm glad you have been okay though" he said.

He looked around and said "No one sitting with you yet?"

"Yeah, it is sad, but there are aurors all around the school trying to keep students safe and everything. It's calmed down since it happened."

Anonimus' smile was contagious. Rori's smile remained on her face. "I've been trying to keep it that way, making sure I don't get into too much trouble," she joked. She took a drink from her glass. "Not yet, although you are more than welcome to stay and eat lunch if you want."

[Anonimus White]

He looked at her and thought 'Wow, not much has changed...that is good to know.' Anonimus did notice the "not yet" in Rori's response. "I'd love to say...unless you have some jealous boyfriend I should know about" he said jokingly.

[Rori Logan]

Rori laughed slightly. "It's alright," she said. She wasn't sure what his reaction would be about Leo, but Anonimus was still her friend, even if he had disappeared. "I don't know when Emme or Leo will be coming, but they won't mind a friend joining. There's nothing you should worry about. They're both pretty good people, I think that you'll like them."

[Anonimus White]

Anonimus nodded "Okay sounds good to me" he said wondering who the new people would be.

[Emmeline Vance]

Emmeline walked into the Great Hall and looked around carefully. She was looking for Rori, whom she started to eat lunch with everyday since meeting her. When she caught sight of her she was talking to a guy that Emmeline had never seen before. She slowly made her way over.

"Hi Rori. Are we eating lunch together? Or is this a bad time?"

[Rori Logan]

Rori looked back toward the door and saw Emmeline coming over. Another smile spread across her face. "Hello Emmeline," she greeted. "Of course we're eating lunch together, and no it's not a bad time." Rori looked back to Anonimus then to Emmeline. "Emme, this is Anonimus, and Anonimus this is Emme. Anonimus is a good friend of mine," she said.

[Leo Agathon]

Leo was whistling to himself as he headed down the hallway towards the Great Hall. He was always in a good mood when he was about to see Rori. They'd been going out for a while now, but he still felt his heart skip a beat at the sight of her, just like it had the very first time he'd seen her by the Black Lake.

He entered the Great Hall and his eyes immediately darted towards the Ravenclaw table. It wasn't hard to spot her; to him, she always stood out in a crowd. What he hadn't expected, however, was to see an unfamiliar-looking boy sitting next to her.

He took a deep breath and tried not to let jealousy take over. There was probably a rational explanation. He kept calm as he walked over to the table. "Hey, Rori," he said. "What's going on?"

[Rori Logan]

Whenever she saw Leo, her face seemed to brighten a little more, just like it always did, and a light blush appeared on her cheeks. "Hey," she said brightly. "This is my friend Anonimus and Anonimus, this is my boyfriend, Leo." Rori knew that Leo was going to want to know exactly who he was, so she looked back up at him. "Anonimus is an old friend who happened to just return to school. He just stopped by and I invited him to eat lunch with us."

[Anonimus White]

Anonimus looked at the two new people at the table. He smiled at the girls, she seemed sweet. He scooted over a little to make sure she had plenty of room he didn't want her to feel unwelcome. He smiled at her and waved slightly. Then he saw a boy coming up to Rori...he didn't look exactly happy to see him there. 'Haha, this could be interesting' he thought. When Rori said the word boyfriend it did take him a bit of guard but not enough that he couldn't quickly make up for it.

"Oh would you like to sit by Rori, I can move to the other side of the table if you would like" he said offering to get up.

[Emmeline Vance]

Emmeline watched the exchange between Anonimus and Leo cautiously. It was all a little awkward. It was obvious that Rori only had eyes for Leo and Anonimus didn't seem to want to bother that. She watched Leo carefully. Hopefully, nothing would be started...

"So, I'm sneaking to Hogsmeade to find a dress, do you want to meet me somewhere?" she whispered to Rori. "They can come too." She gestured towards the guys. She didn't want professors or prefects hearing her talk of sneaking to Hogsmeade. We'll talk about him later... Emmeline mouthed to Rori and jerking her head towards Anonimus.
