An Old Friend

[Anonimus White]

Anonimus noticed the offer was opened to him also. He looked at Rori to see her reaction to everything. "I'd love to come...if that okay with you Rori," he said looking at her wondering what she was thinking. He had missed his best friend and wondered how his year long absence would be effecting the current situation.

[Rori Logan]

Rori looked between Leo and Anonimus and let her eyes linger on Leo a moment longer. Her attention was changed whenever Emmeline spoke to her. Sneaking off to Hogsmeade? Rori nodded. "Yeah, I'll go with you," she said in a bit of a whisper. "Um, we could meet wherever you think would be best." At the mention of the boys coming along, Rori looked to Leo and gave a look that said that she wanted him to go with her, then she looked to Anonimus after he spoke. "Um, I think that would be alright if you came along with us."

Leo smiled, but it was a little bit strained. "It's nice to meet you, Anonimus," he said, eying the older boy warily.

He turned to Rori, the same smile pasted on his face. "A Hogsmeade trip sounds great," he said, taking hold of her hand possessively. "I'm sure we'll all have fun." He glanced at Anonimus again. "It will be nice to have the chance to get to know you."

And keep an eye on you, he thought to himself suspiciously. He wasn't at all sure he liked the way this Anonimus kid looked at Rori.

Anonimus smiled and watched the way Leo grabbed Rori's hand. He noticed the tension and got the hint. He would find some reason to have to miss the trip. He did like Rori still and of course he would want to get to know the Leo guy just to check him out. "Yeah it would be nice to get to know you also," he said to Leo.

He knew when he left things would be different and maybe he would just have to deal with the fact that his choices were going to shape the way things would be now. He knew he would find some time to talk to Rori and fill her in on everything, maybe things would go back to normal somehow. He decided that he would send and owl to Rori later to ask if he could talk to her privately. He didn't want to start any trouble, it just wasn't in his nature.

"Actually Leo you take my seat, I really need to go talk to some of the teachers about my new classes," he said grinning. "I honestly have no idea whats going on. It was nice to meet you Leo, Emmeline," he said nodding to bother of them. "Rori, it was...really nice to see you again. Maybe we can catchup later I'll fill you in on a few things you missed in my life," he said and he looked at her one last time before getting up and walking over to the teachers table.

Leo's smile faded, but he didn't let go of Rori's hand. He really didn't like the way Anonimus had emphasized the "really" in his comment to Rori.

Slowly he slipped into the seat that had been vacated by Anonimus, then looked at Rori. Already, he felt most of his anger fading, but not his curiosity. "So, um... how did you know him?" he asked her.

If anyone was watching, they could tell that there was some kind of tension between Leo and Anonimus. Rori held onto Leo's hand. "Bye," she said as Anonimus got up.

Naturally, she knew that there would be questions. "He used to come here, but then he left. We were like best friends." Rori gave Leo's hand a gentle squeeze and leaned in to kiss his cheek, just to give him any kind of reassurance.

[Emmeline Vance]

Emmeline watched with sad eyes as Anonimus walked away. She looked at Rori as if to say Say something. That was rude. She hoped Leo wasn't always like this. And maybe it was just the situation they were in, but she didn't like it either way. Emmeline smiled lightly at Rori and at Leo.

"I should probably go see if he's okay...." She stood up and jogged over to Anonimus before he could get to the teacher's table. "Hey. Are you okay? You can still come to Hogsmeade. I'm sure he didn't mean any of that the way it seemed."

Anonimus heard someone beside him and turned around. He smiled at the girls concern, "I'm fine, its okay I don't think he would really like it for me to come around." He said pointing to Leo. "I can understand I probably wouldn't like it if I was still dating Rori and he came around," he said with a shrug.

[Leo Agathon]

Leo didn't really see that his behavior had been rude. He had actually gone out of his way to act like he was being nice. But his gut reaction to Anonimus had been negative, and he couldn't quite get past it when talking to him.

He supposed Anonimus was probably a nice guy. But he couldn't help feeling jealous. He could sense that there was something more than friendship there, especially in the way he had been looking at Rori.

"Just friends?" he said, his voice softening. He let out a sigh. "I really didn't mean to run him off like that... I just... well, I like you so much, Rori."

[Rori Logan]

Rori sighed. "Yes, we're just friends," she said. She squeezed his hand again. "It's alright. Although, I do promise there's nothing there. Don't be worried about it, because you're the one that I like a whole lot." Rori gave him a bright smile. She looked back to her cup and took a sip out of it, emptying her cup. Rori reached out for the pumpkin juice and refilled her cup before looking to Leo.

"Want any juice?"

Emmeline lifted an eyebrow. "Still dating? Well, that sounds like there's a history there..." She looked back at the table and noticed Rori and Leo were talking. She'd wait till Rori called her back.

"Maybe you should come back to the table...for Rori."

"Oh it wasn't really much...I don't know if we ever made it official," he said thinking about it. "No, I don't think Rori...or Leo would like that very much," he said looking at them. "Plus I do need to go talk to the professors," he said.
