Nathalia couldn't help but smile at him for that. So he had noticed her attention before, and was just looking out for her brother.
"He's younger?" She guessed, not bothering to scan the place to see who they had found for Sean. He obviously had a partner now, or Daniel wouldn't be here.
"It's nice to meet you too, Daniel. Care for a dance?"

"Two years younger," he said. Daniel didn't have to scan for Sean. He knew that he was probably having the time of his life, or he would have returned to the bar already.
"A dance would be nice." He gave her a slight bow and smiled. Daniel moved a little closer to her, careful not to just grab her. He didn't believe in just, literally, grabbing a girl. It was a common feeling between him and his brother that women should be respected. If it ended up with a night spent together, then that was fine, however he wouldn't do it by just grabbing her and forcing himself on her.

"That's really sweet," Nat told him, and wondered briefly if the two worked together to get girls like this. It was efficient, and worked well, so if it was planned, she had to hand it to them. "But I imagine you hear that quite a bit."
She could tell suddenly that he was very respectful, and not as shy as she had thought initially. They obviously had a mother that raised them well.
"A dance would be nice," she agreed, keeping her distance, but just for now.

Sean, his training kicking in a little, watched the other man to make sure he was actually leaving. "I'm Sean. It's a delight to come to your rescue, Paige," he said, smiling, and settling to be more at ease when the man disappeared into the crowd. He loosened up and began to dance with her. "Not your boyfriend, I take it?" Paige smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Sean," she said, tilting her head slightly. "No... he's definitely not my boyfriend. I never met him before tonight. I'm not even sure of his name... he kind of slurred it. I think it was Gary, or Barry... although it sounded more like Mary." She giggled. He was cute, and just a little bit shy. She found it endearing. It couldn't hurt to flirt a little bit. "Anyway, thanks for rescuing me. You're a real gentleman... I don't see a lot of those."

Sean smiled. "May as well have been Mary." Her smile made him more confident. She had a very pretty smile, and a voice to match.
"Well, I certainly try to be a gentleman. It's a lost art, really, but then you get rewarded by running into a pretty girl," he complimented her.

He kept his hands to himself as he danced with her, careful not to get her mad at him. Making girls feel uncomfortable was not what he liked to do. He let things go on their own and see where they ended up. "Sean and I saw you whenever you and your friends first came in. We both agreed that you were pretty, and I thought that he was going to talk to you, but I do have to say, I'm glad that he didn't."

"It's just nice to know that there are still a few nice guys left out there. You're so hard to find. Most guys I meet are too much like that guy." She gestured toward the spot where her previous dance partner had been. "So tell me, Sean," she said. "What do you do for a living?"

"No, really?" Nathalia shrugged. "Girls usually fall over themselves for that kind of thing, you know." It was true, and Nat would even admit that she found it endearing. It showed compassion ad responsibility, and what girl didn't like that in a guy?
She smiled widely at his next comment. "I'm sure your brother's a sweet guy, but I think he knew I was looking at you. I usually don't find someone interesting so soon after coming in here."

"He did make the comment that you were looking that way," he said with amusement. "Although I wasn't just going to quickly up and leave him. He wouldn't have done it to me." Daniel gave her a wink.
"So, I'm interesting? Hm. I think that's probably the first time I ever heard that one from a girl. Although, you're pretty interesting yourself. Afterall, you did catch our attention as soon as you walked in."

"Where he goes, you go, hm?" Nathalia replied. "You sound like you've been through a lot togeher. Or, you're just very overprotective."
Nathalia smiled again, or still. She didn't think she'd stopped smiling yet, which meant he wasn't boring her yet. That was a good sign for him.
"That's quite a compliment, Daniel. Thank you."

"It seems like we end up showing up in the same places even if we don't plan it that way." He continued to dance with her, still being a gentleman. "We have been through a lot together, but I'm not overprotective. I am protective, but not overly" Daniel did what he could to help protect Sean, after all it was his younger and only brother.
"I just call 'em like I see 'em," he said. Nathalia hadn't bored him yet either. "So, Nathalia, what do you do?"

Maybe Daniel wasn't overly protective, but his brother came first... she could see that, and she sort of liked it. He wore the big brother suit well.
What do you do... she loved that question, and she usually loved deciding what answer to give to it. Because of her nomadic, unorthadox lifestyle, she could say any number of things. For Daniel, she settled on one of the simpler answers.
"I'm an artist, actually," She told him as the song switched. She acted like she didn't notice. "In fact, I've just come back from a school in New York for art. Your turn, Daniel. What do you do?"

"An artist," repeated Daniel. "That's pretty impressive. I can't really draw." He gave a laugh. "It's pretty sad really." He was smiling, and didn't notice the song change either, but that was the least of his worries.
"Well, I actually work for the magical law enforcement," he said. Daniel could have came up with a number of things, but he decided to just go with the truth. "It's kind of ironic really. During school, you wouldn't have ever guessed I would have done something like this."

"Oh, a cop, huh?" Nathalia asked, impressed. She used the muggle word, used to it from her time in New York. She could pretty much guess that his brother was a MLE wizard as well, but she didn't really care to ask.
"Why is that? Were you a trouble maker in school?" She asked, appraising him. "Because I have to tell you... I really can't imagine that you were."

"Quite the trouble maker actually. Got my brother in on it too. We had quite the time and made sure that we gave our professors a hard enough time. I don't think there was a day that went by that we didn't get trouble," Daniel said with a laugh. "Although, I guess I should be thanking you for that. Being trouble makers in school is what has made us become pretty decent at our jobs I do believe."

So she was right, the younger one was a cop as well. It was cute, really. Too many sblings hated each other.
"I imagine so... at least you know all the tricks of the trade, right?" She was still smiling, finding conversation with him very relaxed. "So, if you were such a trouble maker, that puts you in either Slytherin or Gryffindor... I'm going to guess Gryffindor."

"Oh, I imagine there are a lot of us out there. Someone has to be close by to rescue any damsels in distress, right?"
She was quick to ask what he did, and it made him glad that he had a good, solid answer. Telling her he was unemployed would have probably driven this one off right away.
"I'm part of the Magical Law Enforcement team," he replied, and it was easy to tell that he was kind of proud of this fact. He wanted to see if she had any other questions she wanted to ask before he asked her what she did.

"That's true. We learned from our time at Hogwarts and we attempt to use that to catch whoever we're after." Daniel looked amused as Nathalia tried to figure out what house he had been in. "You would be correct," he said with a laugh. "Gryffindor it was. It was always fun. There were rarely any dull moments."

Nathalia nodded in agreement. "That's true. You know, we caused just as much trouble as the Slytherins. We were just better at charming our way out of it."
She regarded him, trying to see if she recognized him. He looked close to her age, but she didn't remember ever seeing him in school.
"How old are you, Daniel? I wonder if we went to school together."

Daniel laughed. "That we did. I remember a poor Slytherin tried to tease my brother and well let's just say I remember him, hanging around for awhile." That day, a Slytherin boy tried to tease Sean and Daniel wasn't going to have any of that. Only he could tease Sean, so Daniel left the boy hanging by his robes on one of the light fixtures in the hall. The boy wasn't hurt, but Daniel thought it right to teach a lesson. "And charming our way out of things was sort of easy."
There was many times Sean and Daniel charmed their way out of any kind of serious trouble. "I'm twenty-two," he said. "What about you?"
