"Baseball is probably my favorite sport to see in person. There's something about being at a baseball game... it's more of an all-around event. Football is cool but people mostly focus on the game. But maybe because baseball involves a lot of waiting, it seems like there are always other things going on all around. It's hard to explain... but you'd have to be there. It's amazing."
Most girls weren't particularly interested in talking about sports, especially muggle sports. But Rori was interested and eager to learn, which made it all the more fun to talk to her about it. He loved that she was so open-minded.
"We really should go to a game one time. But we should probably deal with the movies first... I'm still not sure Voltaire will let you go to London with me."

Muggle things caught Rori's interest. It was amazing to see how different yet similar they all were. She figured that if she liked quidditch that she would probably like a few muggle sports, especially about the way Leo talked about them. Plus, she knew that if she ever wanted to learn something she should go and experience it, well some things anyway.
Rori let out a laugh. "Voltaire might be a little more understanding that you think. Of course I could always mention it to Isa first and then tell her to maybe mention it to Voltaire. She could probably talk him into to it and then I would ask him. It would probably work."

Leo had to laugh at the way she talked about her family. She seemed to know just how to talk to them and work on them to get the desired results. He couldn't help but wish that his family was as close to him as she was to hers. He loved his family, of course, but they were generally rather distant from him. He hardly heard from them at all when he was at school, even though he tried to write once a week. And when he was home, they were usually too busy to pay much attention to him.
But Rori's family was close, and he liked that. He hoped that he could get close to them as well, and to become a part of their extended family.
"I hope so," he replied. "I really want to take you to a muggle movie. And there's a really good pizza place in London that I'd like to take you to. I wouldn't even mind if Voltaire wanted to come along with us, really. Just as long as you can go."

"Voltaire might like the idea that he could come." Rori didn't mind it if Voltaire came along either. He was always fun to be around. "It wouldn't be bad if he did." Not too many people could really say that about the people in their family, and she was lucky enough to have family like that.
"I'm sure that I'll be able to go one way or another." Isa and Voltaire seemed to be the type of parents who were not completely strict but they didn't just let everything occur. At least, that was what Rori observed so far. She hadn't asked them if she could actually go off of school grounds, or somewhere other than Hogsmeade before. She wasn't sure how that was going to go but she had a feeling that she just might have a chance at going.
"However, if Voltaire does end up saying that I can't, then I'm sure we could do something else but I'm hoping that that doesn't happen."

Leo was feeling pretty hopeful, and he smiled. Even if they couldn't go, they would find a way to make the best of things... but it would really be great if they could go. It would be sort of like a little adventure, just bumming around London and going to a muggle movie.... He couldn't wait.
"OK, cool," he said. "I guess just ask him as soon as you get a chance and let me know what he says. Then maybe we can figure out when it's a good time to go."
