Julie had grabbed her purse and quickly met Daniel at the entrance to the school, letting him then lead the way to Hogsmead. She had to admit, it felt great to be back. Sometimes, the best part of traveling was coming back to where it all started.
By the time they actually reached the Hot Panini, Daniel had Julie laughing over many of his stories, and she was genuinely intrigued, wanting to hear more about him.
Inside, they requested a table for two and were sat near a window, and handed two menus.
"Do you have any reccomendations?" She asked, opening the menu.

Daniel and Julie walked into the Hot Panini, Julie was laughing at a story Daniel was telling a particularly funny story about a time traveling in Australia with a genuinely confused Ogar. Daniel smiled at the hostess, who led them to a window table and handed them a couple menus.
"Well, that all depends on what you like," Daniel said as he scanned the menu. He put it down and looked up at Julie. "And what you want to eat before your first class."

"Hmm," Julie said, looking over her menu. "It all sounds amazing. I just want something light though... potato soup sounds good." She smiled at closed her menu, looking back at Daniel. "Potatoes are supposed to give you energy, right? It would look terrible for a teacher to fall asleep during her own class. What are you having?"

"Waldorf salad for me," Daniel said. Usually when he ate, he'd eat alot. But, unlike Julie who had a class to teach, Daniel was going to bed soon, and didn't really need too much food.
"So, any nerves before your first class?" Daniel asked as they ordered their food.

"Oh, of course," Julie replied with a laugh. "I'm absolutely terrified. Kids can be brutal if they don't like you." She was joking, of course.
"Actually, I feel pretty confident. But I am a little nervous. And I have one of those classes that people take because they think it's going to be easy."

"I definatly hear you there." Daniel said. "I think everyone in my class took Muggle Studies because it's one of the "easier" courses. Well, except one boy, but I think he took that class to be with a girl..." Daniel shook his head. "And, granted, even I know that Muggle Studdies isn't completely difficult, I'd like to be givin the beninfit of the doubt that I'm trying to get them interested in something." He rolled his eyes, Kids, what could they do?

"Yeah, I understand that. Afterall, how hard can it be staring at stars for an hour? I'd put a lot of science into the lessons for them, but I have a feeling that would just bore the lot of them to sleep on me. Oh well.. I am sure you and I will find a good balance."

"I'll tell you, I think that Astronomy is quite difficult," Daniel said. "The only class I couldn't do well. So I admire you for the fact you get it better than me," he smiled.
"As for the students, cant hurt to try, right?"
((Sorry it's short...)

Julie smiled softly at him and shrugged. "I think it was just about the only class I did well in," she said and laughed as a waitress finally came up to them. She ordered her soup, and waited for Daniel to order his salad.
When the girl was gone, she picked up their conversation right where it left off. "Yeah, well, I'll see what registers with the students the most and go from there."

"Sound like a good plan," Daniel agreed. The seat they sat in was next to a window and Daniel looked outside with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"The sky will be great for star gazing tonight," Daniel said. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and the millions of trillions of twinkling stars blinked brightly. "It's gorgeous out."

"It is a beautiful day... it should be a beautiful night as well." Julie wanted to tell him that he was welcome to join the class, but it was midnight, and, well, why would he want to sit in on a class?
"I'm not worried, though. There is that ceiling that shows the stars even if the clouds are out. I used to go up there all the time when I was a student."

"There is?" Daniel asked. "I didn't know about that," He said. He thought he found every inch of that castle during his years at Hogwarts, and to know that he missed a classroom with a special ceiling? He shook his head in astonishment. "How could I have missed that?" He asked, slightly to himself. "You'll have to show me sometime Julie."

Julie nodded. "All right, I'll show you. It's kind of amazing... it's a lot like the ceiling in the Great Hall, except it always lets you see the stars in the best conditions possible. Sometimes, during the summer, you can see one of the arms of the galaxy. You really shouldn't get me talking about these things," she added with a laugh and barely a breath between words. "I could go on for hours."

Daniel smiled as Julie went off about the ceiling. "Oh I don't mind, really," he said, laughing along with her. Their food arrived and Daniel sat back a bit to let the waiter place his salad infront of him. When the waited walked away, he took a forkful of food. "You'll find I'm a much better listener than talker anyways..." he added before taking a bite.

Julie smiled. "Well then, you and I are perfect for each other because I hardly even shut up," she told him.
Julie was a good listener, when she needed to be, but she also had a tendency to be passionate about things. Sometimes, she could just go on and on and she would see her listener's eyes glaze over.
"This soup is great," she said.

"I guess we are," Danile agreed with a nod and a smile. He could sometimes be seen as quiet and contemplative, and he usually was. Once and a while, he you could catch him going on about this or that, but nothing really specific, unless it was muggle studies.
He took another bote of salad. "I told you the food here was good," Daniel said.

"Indeed you did," Julie smiled at him. "Did I ever say I didn't believe you?" She laughed at the question, and ate more soup. "You seem like such an honest sort."
Without taking the time to explain why or anything, she just smiled and shrugged. "How's yours?"

"My salad? It's good," Daniel said. He had just finished up the last bit of his meal and pushed the plate to the side. He took a sip of water from his glass and smiled, gazing out the window again.

Julie tilted her head, watching him for a moment.
"You look awfully pensive," She told him, still working slowly on her soup. "Anything in particular that's plaguing your mind? I can be a listener when I need to be."

"Pensive? Maybe a little, but it's nothing of any extreme importance," Daniel said. He tended to do that once and a while. "Sometimes my mind just wanders..." he explained.
