Sas smiled and nodded. "Actually, I am. I just moved here a few days ago." He wasn't quite feeding her lines, but they were close. She didn't mind; she was in a good mood tonight and knew she wouldn't be taking anyone home. She wasn't that kind of girl.
She set her glass down and swiveled her stool to face him completely. She held her hand out. "My name is Sas," she said, just offering up her nickname, as was habit for her now. She was somewhat bubbly, and definitely friendly, but had an air about her that said she could pull off dark and mysterious if she wanted to.

Edmund gave her his most charming smile. "It's nice to meet you, Sas," he said, taking her hand. "I'm Edmund."
He did not offer a nickname. He had never gone by Ed or Eddie or anything like that. To him, those names were short for Edward. He was Edmund, and he preferred the formality of his name.
"I certainly hope you like what you've seen of the town so far," he said. "Are you finding your way around well enough?"

Derek grinned, or perhaps a woman would not be Edmund's downfall with the way he was going after the Brunette it was only a shame that Derek had given up his game for the night to aid a friend, but he couldn't be too sorry, he was worried over losing both Edmund and Zach at the same time...what would women do to them?

"Are you finding your way around well enough?" Shaking his hand, Sasmita replied, "Likewise. It's a pleasure to meet you, Edmund." He was nice and didn't seem to have a hard time with small talk, which made her think that he must have had enough practice in his time. "It's a big city," she answered honestly. "But I also have a pretty good sense of direction." Fate never let you go somewhere by accident, she added in her head. "But I'm not sure how well I like it or not."

"It is pretty big," Edmund agreed. "It can make you feel like you've been swallowed up by it, reminding you of your own insignificance." He smiled. "But it's lucky for me that your sense of direction led you here tonight. Maybe I can help you feel more at home, and show you some of the wonderful things about this town."
He took a sip of his drink and considered her for a moment. She was indeed lovely, and very sweet. Possibly too sweet for him. But that had never stopped him before...
"Tell me, Sas, where are you from?"

Sas smiled softly. "It is awfully big, and it can swallow you up... but I'm not sure I would call it insignificance that I feel. It sort of makes you feel like you're home, doesn't it?" She waved her hand just a little, dismissing the thought. She needed to stop babbling or she'd scare him off. "But I wouldn't argue if you wanted to show me more of London."
She took a sip of her own drink before answering his question. "I'm from India, actually. Quite different from here."

Edmund raised his eyebrows at her. "India," he repeated. "Yes, I dare say that would be quite different from here. I've never been myself. Is there a school of magic out there?"
As worldly as he pretended to be, Edmund was not nearly as well travelled as his two friends. He had spend more time close to home. As a result, however, he didn't know as much about other countries as he would have liked. All he knew about India was that it was very, very hot and humid.

"No, actually, I went to Hogwarts for a couple of years, and Beauxbatons for the rest. I've been back and forth, as it turns out."
She flashed her pretty smile at him. She wasn't ready to tell him what her life in India was like. Before she graduated and managed to get her own apartment, Hogwarts was really the most solid place she had for a home. She'd grown up on the streets, though you could never guess by the innocent way she looked at people.
London was better for her... but she would always go back to see if he was there.
"You've lived here a while, I assume?"
