Kara shifted in her chair, squeezing Ken's hand in return. Kat hadn't said no... she'd only told Tim she wouldn't mind if he didn't join her... which seemed, at least to Kara that she'd already decided to try staying with them. Kara's heart was beating double time, hoping she was right but she didn't want to assume too much until Kat had actually agreed.
Even the thought of having her daughter back home was enough to send her reeling. She'd hoped for the day this might happend, and dreaded that it might never happen as well. Her daughter was her life, and not a day had gone by that Kara hadn't thought and missed her daughter. Had always wondered what she looked like or who she'd become. And now Kara was watching her daughter, the only thing keeping her heart stead was the lifeline that was Ken's hand in hers.

Tim nearly jumped out of his chair with excitement, Kat had discovered who her parents were, it looked like it would turn out to be a happy ending and he was able to help her through everything just like he had promised her. "Kat don't be silly, i'd love to come help ya get adjusted to living with the Scotts." Beaming at his beautiful girlfriend and the two people who sat across the table from them that he actually considered friends. "When shall we begin this move?"

Kara continued to beam at the news. Maybe now they could finally be a family. Even though her and Ken both worked for the Dark Lord, things would still work out. Right now, having Kat back in their lives was important.
"If Kat wishes, we can have her move in the weekend, or next weekend. Whenever Kat decides that she wants to. If you want, Kat, I can fix your room however you would like it. If you want it painted your favorite color, we can do that all before you come if you want."

Kat beamed. This was happening, this was REALLY happening. "Eaither is fine," Kat said in reference to the weekend question. "And you don't have to do all that work, I can help." Kat said to her mother. "I want to help." She smiled again.
