Janice walked into the nightclub and immediately felt the music flowing through her veins emerge in tune with the thrum of the beats. Music was in her blood, almost as much as fortune telling and thievery, but she was here for a reason. The Dark Lord wanted something stolen and she was happy to oblige her Master. However the owner of said trinket was supposed to be here tonight and she kept watching for the person she'd been told would have it.
But that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy herself while she was here. She moved over to the bar first however and ordered a drink while she waited for her dance partner to arrive.

Leland carefully stepped into the club, the loud music pounding throughout the room. He had never been one for music but since he had met Janice she had shown him things that he never thought possible. Feeling the music seemed to calm him as he looked around the room and spotted who he was looking for. Approaching the bar he quietly crept behind Janice, his hands on her shoulders he leaned in close.
"So what's a lovely lady like you doing in a place like this?" Moving over to he could lean on the bar next to her. "Well at least without a handsome escort I should say."

Janice had been watching some of the dancers, searching for a face she knew had to be among that crowd. And then Janice smiled when the familiar hands were on her shoulders and she turned to look at her partner with appreciation in her eyes. "I was hoping someone tall dark and handsome might come sweep me off my feet. Have you come to rescue me?" She teased him knowingly. "I would hate for someone else to steal me away before I get what I came for."

Leland smiled as Janice spoke, he had known her for many years now. Since they had both been stationed by their master at Durmstrang and she had shown him a whole new realm of reality that he would have never believed existed. "Someone else steal you away..?" Feigning a gasp he reached behind the bar and produced something small in the palm of his hand. Realizing he would need a distraction to pull off his trick her wrapped his other arm around her waist pulling her in close to him.
Leaning in so as to whisper his lips lightly brushed against her ear. "I do not think anyone else can handle you darling." As he spoke the cherry that had been in his hand with the aid of a silent spell and some skill quickly began to change it's shape until a rose stood in it's place. Pulling back some he stopped off at her lips so he could lightly nibble her bottom lip, before pulling back completely and holding out his hand with the rose. "Come, dance with me my water gypsy." He had used that pet name on her countless times, when he had met her she was swimming gracefully in a lake and seemed to almost be one with the water.

Janice was suitably distracted and then surprised when he was holding a rose at her. She laughed with delight. She took the rose and broke off part of the stem and then placed the rose in her hair. "At least one man can handle me," she agreed. And then he asked her to dance, which was something she loved to do. He always knew how to handle her, and dancing was one way he knew that would keep her attention. And she loved when he called her that, it always made her smile. The fact she'd been naked in the water when they'd met she was sure had something to do with that, but she hadn't been expecting company when she was in the lake and she always loved feeling the water against her skin.
"I would love to... " she gave a mischievous grin as a song started playing that she knew she could already feel thrumming in her veins. She took his hand and let her hips sway to the music as she walked him onto the dance floor.

Leland feigned a courtly bow as they got to the dance floor. As Janice began to move her hips in time to the beat he licked his lips at some fond memory, grabbing her hand he twirled her around and brought her in close to him. With a quick sniff of the rose in her hair, he lightly brushed his lips against hers as the music began to flow through him and his body began to move to the beat.
Leaning in close he whispered in her ear, "Whoever said you can't have fun while doing the masters bidding." With a light nibble he sent her out once more twirling around before bringing her back and continuing the dance.

Janice let the music take her as she danced in Leland's arms, despite him not being a lover of music before she met him, he'd adapted remarkably well. He was a really good dancer and could match her tempo. She was feeling elated tonight at the prospect of her Master's bidding, something she loved to do. Added to the fact that she was able to dance with Leland's commanding arms made her enjoy the night even more. Her hips swayed naturally with the beats and when they increased they slipped into a half shimmy each time he came close and each time she was furthest away when the beats hit a double tempo. She was very skilled in dancing and knew how to use her legs to accentuate her movements.
She had a lighthearted smile, was light on her feet though grounded at the same time, and she was enjoying her evening finally. Her eyes however were still well aware of everything around them including her partner.

Leland was having the time of his life as he always did when he was with Janice. He had always been raised with the belief that business comes before all, yet Janice had shown him a whole other world. One where there was a very fine line between business and pleasure and that line could be molded very easily. Grinning at his beautiful partner as the song came to an end, he leaned in and kissed her on the forehead.
"I don't know about you darling but I could use a drink right about now." Smiling he headed over to the bar and ordered a firewhiskey as he leaned against it smiling at Janice the whole time.

Janice moved next to him in a gliding walk that seemed as if she was almost floating. As always she was light on her feet, almost as light as her fingers could be. As she leaned against the edge of the bar facing Leland, she smiled up at him with a wink and then started looking out at the crowd, her eyes scanning the faces while her gaze looked casual. As usual she didn't drink, but she never minded when others did. The person she was waiting for had apparently not yet arrived, so she turned her attention back to Leland. She trailed a hand across his chest and grinned up at him. "How's your drink, dear?"

Taking a sip of the firewhiskey his chest tingled as Janice ran her fingers across it. Bringing her fingers to his lips he smiled at her. "Not nearly as good as my company this evening." He brushed a hand against the soft skin of her cheek. Downing the rest of his firewhiskey he ordered another as he lightly brushed her cheek with his lips. "Have you found your mark yet?" He whispered as he pulled back slowly, his eyes locked onto hers.

Janice shook her head with a slight frown and leaned forward to kiss softly near his ear, "Not here yet, I think you're graced with my company a bit longer. Though we are still a bit early, I just like to make sure an early opportunity doesn't slip through my fingers."
She turned to the barkeep and ordered a simple water with lemon. She liked to keep herself alert when she was working, which is why she never drank. As far as she was concerned there were always opportunities and it never hurt to always be alert with quick reflexes. When their drinks arrived she gave him a little cheer and continued to watch casually, her feet tapping to the music and her hips swaying unconsciously.

Jude was dancing nearby, just moving to the music. He was actually a bit bored; it seemed like the crowd at the club was becoming the same people every night. He wanted to change things up and have a little fun for a change. Ever since he and Becky had broken up, it seemed like fun was a fleeting thing, brief and unsatisfying.
The song ended, changing to a slow song. There was no point in dancing to a slow song alone, so he decided to go and get a drink. Pausing to smooth out his hair, he walked toward the bar.

Janice caught sight of someone coming towards the bar and a smile appeared on her face as she tapped so casually on Leland's chest that any one watching wouldn't have thought twice. But she had found her mark, the only question was if he had what she'd come to take from him. As if entering a dance of a new kind she manuvered herself so that she could lean against the bar and have both men in her sight. She wanted to watch him a moment first, to see which method would be the most useful, and see if he wore the artifact as she'd been told he would.

Jude didn't really notice the woman as he sat down at the bar and ordered a butterbeer. While he waited for the bartender to return with his drink, he casually tapped his ring against the edge of the bar. It was an old family heirloom, passed down for generations of his family, and he seldom took it off.
Thanks," he said to Maddie as she pushed his drink over to him. He took a sip, then paused to look around again. There had to be something to do around here....

As soon as Janice spotted the ring her eyes sparkled a smile, and to her benefit he seemed rather bored with himself. He was obviously looking for something to do and she knew that Leland would understand as she moved to give her target something to do, though as she left she winked at him with a promise for later if they were successful tonight. The advantage in working in pairs was that Leland could easily protect her if something went wrong, and he also could cast several charms to befuddle the man if necessary. They'd been partners for many years and in that time had grown to just know what was needed when. And she always felt safe with Leland watching her back.
Jance slid from behind Leland and took a wide movment around the other side of the man since he hadn't seen her yet from what she could tell. And her face bloomed into a fun and flirtatious smile, her twinkling eyes only adding to the light hearted effect of her presense. As she approached him her voice was light and playful, "Well now you look awfuly bored, are you waiting for someone or do you just not enjoy dancing?"

Jude turned to face the woman, a smile on his face. She was not one of the regulars, so right away, this was a definite plus for her. He knew most of the other people here; many of them came every night. But she was new and different, which was exactly what he was looking for. "I like dancing," he replied, "but it's not as much fun doing it by yourself. I come here all the time, and most of the people tonight do the same. So far, you're the only new face I've seen."
He took a sip of his butterbeer and sized her up carefully. She was unconventional, to be sure, dressed rather like a gypsy, or an American hippie. She was also possibly a little older than he was, but that didn't bother him.
With his ring hand still wrapped around his glass of butterbeer, he extended the other hand to her. "I'm Jude Dawson. And you would be...?"

She responded softly, "Janice Night, a pleasure to meet you Mr Dawson. I'm afraid you're right, I am new around here. I am just a traveler looking for something fun to do, and I love to dance so my feet managed to find their way here." If he looked down, he'd find her feet were bare... she had never worn shoes unless she had to, and small little anklet bells seemed to jingle when she stepped. Those same bells could be silenced easily when necessary, but it gave the allure that she could never be the stealthy type. Her accent was Romanian and when she spoke it was obvious she was not American, but a true gypsy with a light heart. She held out her hand in the more European greeting style rather than reaching to shake his.

Jude grinned at her. He found her accent alluring; it gave her an exotic air that was sadly missing from the club's regulars. "Nice to meet you, Miss Night. Do you mind if I call you Janice?" He took another sip of his butterbeer, then set it down on the bar. "So tell me, I don't recognize your accent. Where are you from?"

"It's Romanian, although I'm a bit of a wanderer so I can't say I'm from anywhere. And you may call me Janice, if you'd like." She seemed to find it rather humerous that he'd asked what her accent was, but then she couldn't blame the boy if he had never heard it before.
She was very consious of every movement he made though she never took her eyes from his face. Not once did she look as if she was calculating every moment and expression, instead she looked very friendly, warm and smiling. "Would you care to dance then?" He seemed easy enough, unguarded and friendly. He would never see it coming and that though made her smile more.
She could also feel Leland's eyes on her even though she knew he wouldn't seem like he was watching her. She kind of enjoyed taunting him a bit, knowing he didn't really like when she danced with others. But she would make it up to him later.

Jude smiled. "Romanian, huh? And a wanderer? So you are a true gypsy, then, aren't you?" He almost told her that sje was "cool," but reminded himself that would have made him look decidedly unsophisticated. Although his family was rich and old, the fact that he'd been homeschooled meant he really hadn't had much of a chance to really get around. His parents had always been insanely over-protective, and he was only just now managing to get out from under their thumb.
"Sure, I'd love to dance," he said. She seemed like the type who could do some wild bohemian belly dance or something, which would certainly be a change of pace from the normal crowd.
