Scream it out loud (Thane)

[Regina Curry]

Regina carried her books into the common room and placed them down on the table. The fire in the fireplace was still burning bright. She curled up on the couch and opened up one of the books that she had. This time she was just reading for pleasure, rather than reading to study.

When she opened up the book, the imagine before Thane left the tent just before the first task played in her mind. Ever since it happened, the image appeared in her mind at the most random times. She had thought about it, but she couldn't figure it out. It could have just been a gesture of wishing her luck. Regina pushed it out of her mind. Thane was just her friend.

Once she was able to regain her focus, Regian started to read the words on the pages.

Thane had a few books in his hand as he answered the riddle and entered the ravenclaw tower commons. He saw the Grey Lady pass by him and watched as she vanished into a wall. Then he looked around the commons and spotted Regina reading. A grin spread across his face, she looked so pretty sitting there reading. She looked engrossed in her book though, and hadn't looked up at him yet. So he just stood there for a moment watching her and grinning.

The book she was reading seemed to draw her in. She continued to read, turning the pages as she finished them. Regina felt that someone else was watching her, so she looked up. Her eyes landed on Thane while he was grinning. Her cheeks flushed a little. How long had he been standing there grinning at her like that?

A small smile appeared on her face. "Hey."

Thane walked over when she saw him and sat down on the sofa next to her. "Hi Regina, enjoying your book?" He saw her little flush and thought she looked adorable having been caught engrossed in her book.

Regina moved her feet closer to her so that Thane would have plenty of room to sit down. "Yeah. It's pretty good. It's another good muggle book." She put her finger in her place and closed the book. She focused on him. He was just so cute, but she refrained from making it look like she was staring at him too hard.

"How long were you standing there?"

[Thane Scotts]

"Four hours," he was only teasing her of course, "actually only a few minutes. I like watching you read." And oddly it was true, seeing her reading like that reminded him of something he'd do and he adored her for it. His thoughts had wondered to what it would be like to just hold her in his arms while they read together.

[Regina Curry]

Her cheeks felt warm and her stomach flipped, just like it normally did when he would say something like that. "There's nothing interesting in watching me read," she said with a shake of her head. Regina smiled.

She thought that she would possibly change the subject. "So, what have you been up to today?"

[Thane Scotts]

"Besides watching you read? Let's see... I was at the library for a few hours," he nodded to the books he'd already set on the floor without much attention to where they'd ended up. "And before that I was finishing my Arithmancy assignment." He remembered some things in her journal and decided to try one of the things he'd read there. He took one of her hands and softly kissed her palm, wondering if kissing her would really send sparks up her arm.

"Oh, that reminds me I do have a little bit of homework that I should finish," she said making a mental note for herself. She was busy thinking about the assignment she needed to finish to realize that Thane picked up one of her hands. The next thing she knew, she felt a touch of fire on her palm.

Regina's attention went to Thane. She felt her arm tense and her eyes widened slightly. She couldn't stop herself and she shivered slightly. Her face reddened a deep shade of red. "Wha-what was that for?"

[Thane Scotts]

"I was testing a theory I read in a book once." Thane grinned boyishly. "Did you know that I was raised in all the social graces of my family and I've never gotten to use them? Since you're my date to the dance I figured I should work on my skills of gentlemanly behavior on you." It wasn't really the reason but it sounded good.

[Regina Curry]

Regina's cheeks were still red, but she raised an eyebrow. Despite that the insides of her body seemed to be jumping and pounding around, a smile spread across her face. Practicing his gentlemanly skills? Oh, he could work on his gentlemanly skills all he wanted. At that thought, Regina's ears went warmer.

"What was supposed to be the outcome of this theory?"

[Thane Scotts]

"If a gentleman's kiss could make you flush." He winked having noticed her shiver when he'd kissed her hand as well as her cheeks turning red. He caught himself fascinated by her eyes though. She had such beautiful eyes and it was his favorite feature on her, and he liked to make her eyes shine like they were doing now.

[Regina Curry]

"I think you passed on that theory," she said quietly, not looking away. She couldn't look away. It was just like all those other times that she wrote about in her journal. She wanted to ask what were the other gentlemanly skills, but she felt too shy to ask.

Her eyes drifted over to the books on the floor. "So, what books are you going to be studying now?"

[Thane Scotts]

"History of Magic, the dark ages." He spoke absently, answering her question but not really thinking about it. His eyes were still on her flushed cheeks and eyes. So at least he knew that some things in her journal were accurate. He wondered what else she'd let him get away with but he didn't want to press his luck either. Though he didn't let go of her hand as he looked at her smiling.

"Really," she asked with a little excitement. "That's my favorite part! Of course after that it seems to not hold my attention for to long. After you get finished with the book, can I borrow it? I would really like to read it whenever possible." Regina knew that he still held onto her hand, but him holding her hand was something she was getting used to, although her face would flush everytime.

[Thane Scotts]

"Of course you can, it's actually a really good book. It's around the 900's when Hogwarts was first built. Back before the Ministry of Magic existed and so much was different then. There's a whole section devoted to the founding of Hogwarts too." Her flush had disappeared with the change of subject so he kissed her hand again, just to see if it would have the same effect the second time.

[Regina Curry]

"That is when things were interesting! There was really no strong government, therefore people had to figure out what to do own their own without anyone really telling them what to do!" The Dark Ages always fascinated Regina, and of course whenever Hogwarts was first built. When he kissed her hand again, it made all of thoughts scatter and there was fire on her hand again. Her cheeks flushed again. Part of her was wondering if Thane was doing this just for kicks. She looked at him curiously.

[Thane Scotts]

"Sorry had to see if it worked more than once." He gave her a completely innocent grin. "And yes, it is an interesting period of time. Did you know that Hogwarts was one of the first castles ever built?" He set her hand down again and just held it.

[Regina Curry]

Regina gave a 'mmhmm' type of sound at his first comment. She laughed and shook her head in disbelief. His innocent grin was so adorable! She squeezed his hand gently. "I think I remember reading that some where, but I think it's all quiet interesting. It doesn't matter how many times I hear it."

She moved her legs so that she could sit a little closer to him. "Are you doing anything interesting this evening?"

"Not yet.. I mean I don't have any plans yet for tonight. Why do you ask?" Thane wondered what she had in mind. He didn't have anything to do tonight but read like normal, and he was curious if she had an idea of something that might possibly.. hopefully require his company. But he knew that whatever it was if it involved Regina and him together that it would be an interesting evening.
