Thane smiled supportively but the look of worry didn't vanish from his eyes. please be safe, Regina.. I couldn't bear it if something happened to you. he thought fervently, willing her to be safe with his mind and heart. "I wouldn't have missed it for the world." He looked at his necklace around her neck and it made him happy that she was wearing it. He hoped it would at least bring her luck and remind her that someone cared. It didn't matter what place she got, as long as she was safe. "I'll see you soon then, Gina.. good luck." He leaned over and kissed her cheek gave her one last hug before leaving to find his siblings.

"Dinner hmm... ? I think that's an offer I can't refuse. I would love to have dinner with you Mr. Longbottom." She said her eyes teasing and her smile loving. She traced his jaw with her fingers softly and kissed him again, just happy to hold Frank. It wasn't that long ago that she'd still been upset and hurt, but now she felt like they were making up for it all.. and she knew that he would be there for her, and that he loved her and that was all that mattered.

"That will be the plan then Ms. Prewett. However, we might have to make it lunch since there are restrictions now. Although, we can make it special either way." Frank fought from closing his eyes as Alice traced his jaw. Her touch brought fire and he couldn't get enough of it. He moaned slightly in the kiss, but he slowly pulled back and looked at her.

"I hate to say this, but I suppose that I should be going. I have to get in the stands, and it's almost time for the task to start. I know that you'll do fine, and we'll find something to do to celebrate whatever place you come in. It doesn't matter to me, because I know that you'll come out just fine." Frank kissed her forehead and hugged her tightly. "Good luck Alice. I'll be waiting for you."

Seth had wondered when he entered the tent, if Maxi would kick him out. They were fighting, like usual, and like usual, Seth had no clue why. So he was very glad that Maxi had reacted the way she did and he held her close to him. "Maxi," Seth said as she confessed her fear. "You'll be great. Even if you don't see why, the Goblet chose you for a reason, right?" Seth held up her chin with his hand so she could look him in the eye. "I know you're going to be excelent out there today," Seth smiled the Inophen Fomous 100-watt smile. "Better than all the rest, you'll see..." He laughed and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Alice, Regina, and Sam here, they know it too. They're all fighting for second place 'cause of you."

Wow could that boy have made her feel any more confident? Maxi smiled and leaned her head on Seth's shoulder as he hugged her close to him. "Where are Bek and Gage?" she asked.

[Alice Prewett]

Alice smiled up at his little moan, and then agreed with him when he spoke about dinner. "Lunch will be wonderful, of course." She didn't mind, she had a feeling they'd share many dinners and lunches together in the future.

As Frank said his goodbye, she knew he was right.. the task was about to start and it looked as if he wasn't the only one heading out of the tent. She suspected that the other judges would be arriving soon and she needed to get herself focused for the task ahead. He kissed and hugged her and she didn't want to let him go but she allowed him to step back. But before he could go she reached into her robe and pulled out a piece of muggle gum that she had recently discovered the taste for and handed him the wrapper with a wink. "I'll see you soon, love." She kissed his lips quickly in a last goodbye.

"It's nothing." she smiled, he was good at keeping his cool but she could see the small spark of jealousy flaring in his eyes, and it made her almost laugh, she loved Nicolas, but she wasn't completely blind to his affairs, and one day...when she was able to deal with the ramifications of having her own relationship she would have them...and if she never was, well then she would always have Nicolas.

She glanced around as people began leaving then sighed.

[Seth Inophen]

Seth smiled and leaned his head ontop of hers. "Getting good spots, they're saving me a seat," he said. He saw Thane and Frank leave the tent, and he had already seen the guy Sam was with leave with her. He sighed and looked at Maxi.

"I gotta go, Max," he said, standing up and taking her with him. He hugged her tight to him. "Be brave, be safe, good luck," he said. "We're waiting for you at the finish line." Seth kissed her forhead and walked away with another squeeze of her hand.

[Alice Prewett]

Alice sighed as she watched Frank go, followed by the other guys as well. She walked over to the area of the tent that had a privacy area for each contestant with a bed and curtain. She sat down on the bed in the room that was decorated red and waited for the rest of the judges to show up.

[Nicolas Everhart]

"I suppose this is my cue?" he asked. He was the last guy remaining in the tent and he supposed they were about to start.

He felt her tense for just a moment and then release him but he pulled her back.

"You're going to be amazing, but you already know that." he told her then kissed her forehead, " Then when you're done with this silly child's tournament we'll work on accomplishing something difficult, like solving world hunger...or you know something that would be fun for us."

He was teasing her of course, and he saw the light adoration in her eyes that made his sounding like an indulging boyfriend worth it.

[Maxi Borale]

"Do you have to?" Maxi asked rhetorically. She knew he did. The Tournament was about to start. She stood up with Seth and hugged her tight, letting the word he said seep in. Then he squeezed her hand and walked away. She watched him leave and then turned to Alice and Regina, trying to put on an encourageing smile.

No matter what Seth said, she was nervous as hell.

Now that Thane was gone, she felt even more nervous. He was her best friend, other than Hallie, and she was grateful for that. However, she was confused. He kissed her on the lips this time. So, he cared for her more than a friend? Or was that just in case something happened? She pondered on that for a moment, and that caused her to start thinking about what the task was going to be like.

Regina caught Maxie looking her way and she gave a smile back. She looked to Sam. She seemed to be alone after the guy left her. Swallowing a little bit of courage, she walked over to Sam. Regina knew that Alice and Maxi didn't like her, but Sam had done nothing to Sam, and everyone needed a friend, right? "Hey," she said friendly.

Sam held on to him just a little longer for the security he offered and then sighed letting him go. He made her laugh with this last comments and she nodded saying that indeed when she was done with this "child play" she would focus her attentions on solving world hunger. It was ridiculous of course, but she needed a bit of that in her life.

She hated to see him go just because she hadn't seen him in so long but they would be starting soon, so she kissed him goodbye.

After he left Regina came up to her and she was a little surprised, she gave a tentative smile, she didnt' know the girl well, she knew that Maxi and Alice had things against her that were completely untrue but so far she didn't know Thane either and that probably had something to do with it.

She nodded, "Hi."

[Regina Curry]

Regina wasn't that great when it came to meeting new people, but she was just going to wing it. "I just wanted to come over and wish you good luck and to let you know that I don't have anything against you." She figured that it would be good to be up front and honest. "I know that Maxi and Alice seem to have something against you, but I don't really think you're all that bad." Regina surveyed Sam again. Sure, she was pretty, far more pretty than Regina, but she didn't care. There was nothing wrong with that.

[Samantha Montgomery]

Sam laughed once, "Well you're quite upfront about it. Blunt for that matter." Sam looked around the girl to the others and then shook her head and focused back on Regina and shrugged, " No I don't believe I'm on their top ten list." she half smiled, " Good to see that malicious conjecture however doesn't travel. Thank you, I wish you the same good luck."

[Alice Prewett]

Alice turned to talk to Maxi, "So Rystain told me that Seth is supposed to ask you to the dance?" Alice had no idea if Seth had or not, nor did she know if they were fighting or not. All she knew is that Seth had been there today in the tent with her and Alice just assumed she had. She still had moments where she and Rystain talked, but it was few and far between. They were just too different of people to hang out on a regular basis.

[Regina Curry]

Regina smiled. "I think that you should get to know someone before you really judge," she said. "So, I'm not labeling you as anything. And thank you." She clasped her hands together as she faced Sam. Regina didn't really want to go off back on her own, because she knew that once she did, her thoughts would cause her to become nervous all over again. "So," she said breaking the slience. "Was that your boyfriend?"

Sam smiled at the girl's thinking, it was a rare find she thought. When she asked about Nicolas Sam hedged, " Eh...something like that." she smiled again, "Call me a late bloomer...but I'm not really interested in a relationship yet." nothing about Sam could be called late in blooming on the surface, but inwardly she had been pressured into relationships early on and badly enough that she sincerely wanted time away from all that mess.

[Regina Curry]

"Ah, well, that's not a bad thing," Regina commented. "I'm not in a relationship either. I haven't ever been in one, so I suppose that makes me like a late bloomer?" She gave a little shrug. Regina had never been in a relationship, because who would want a girlfriend that would trip all the time over her own two feet more than she tripped over anything else? As of late, she had been getting slightly better, thanks to Thane's help, but she still tripped every once in awhile.

[Samantha Montgomery]

Well she had been in relationships before, if you could call them that, but either way she was sick of them. She smiled at Regina, "No? Who was that guy? And what were his lips doing on you?" she teased easily. It was strange having a friendly conversation with a female, but she realized she longed for the social interaction between members of the same sex, and it was ever illusive.

[Regina Curry]

Regina didn't realize everyone in the tent noticed, but it wasn't like she minded. "That was Thane," she said with her cheeks reddening. She couldn't help it. "He's basically my best friend, other than Hallie, and I don't know, but that was the first time that has ever happened. Maybe he just did it because we're about to start the tasks or something?" Regina couldn't help but wonder his reasonings behind why he did kiss her. Although, she did kiss him on the cheek, right after.

"Or maybe he did it because he wanted you to know that win or lose, you'd still be a winner in his eyes." she replied although looking to the side, that was what love was about, losing but winning. Taking down all the barriers and offering yourself to someone and then have them think you were perfect, even with your flaws, it was unconditional..it was something she wanted desperately but was terrified to reach for it, terrified as well that it was very far out of her reach.
