It was with a heavy heart that Albus Dumbledore summoned the members of the Order of the Phoenix. Some of the members were new, not even out of school, and he knew that for them, the news he had to bring them would hit the hardest. This was about the death of one of their classmates, a young girl of 15. But he knew that his order members were brave, and they would want to face this head on, to make sure no other young students like Katie had to die.
He sat back in the meeting room and waited for the members to arrive.

Emily left her house as soon as she received the message of the Order Meeting. The wedding plans were just about half way planned out, and the invitations were already sent out. Happy that she had found a time to rest, was when she received the message.
Arriving at the Order's secret location, Emily noticed that she was the first one there, other than Dumbledore. She gave him a gentle smile, although she knew that there was something grave going to be told at the meeting.
Emily took a seat a few down from Dumbledore after she greeted him.

Just finishing class, Frank received a note and headed straight to the Order's secret location. He was pleased that he was accepted into the Order. It was a great honor, however he knew that something had to be wrong. There wouldn't have been a meeting just for the sake of one. Frank entered the room noticing a woman and Dumbledore sitting there. He gave them a nod.
Taking a seat, Frank clasped his hands together he waited. He knew that Alice would be there, although he hoped that she was less mad at him than she had been.

Alastor had almost forgotten today was the day for the Order meeting, gathering up his stuff he hurried down to the secret headquarters and noticed a few people had already arrived. Grabbing a chair he moved it to the corner so he could have a great view of everyone in attendance this evening, if there were any spies in the order, they would not live to see tomorrow.

Still at the ministry, Fabian left quickly. He gained a few odd looks as he surried away. Dumbledore was calling and that it was serious. Fabian left a bit of paperwork on his desk and surried away to the secret location.
Upon entering the room, Fabian recongized Emily Alchemia, Alastor, and Dumbledore. He also saw another boy in the room. Frank wasn't out of school, but Fabian was pleased to have him nevertheless.

Marlene had received the same notice as she was leaving the same class. Although she was honored that she was considered worthy enough to join the Order of the Phoenix, she wondered why the meeting was being called now. Something about the sudden meeting seemed ominous to her. Was something wrong? Did it have to do with the Tournament?
She arrived at Headquarters shortly after Frank, and she gave him a friendly smile, despite the somber atmosphere. Taking a seat next to Frank, she looked over at Professor Dumbledore. The look on Albus Dumbledore's face gave her chills. Something bad had happened, she was sure of it.

Kingsley was sitting in his room as an owl arrived with a letter about an order meeting. This is it! My first chance to prove myself. He thought as he gathered his things and hurried out of the common room down to where the Order held their meetings, seeing a few people there he only recognized one that he cared about, taking a seat by Frank he leaned over. "Hey Frank, any idea what the meeting is gonna be about?" He asked trying to keep his excitement to a minimum for the time being.

Elphias had been at the Ministry finishing up some paperwork on a few different cases. Deciding to reread the note he had received he tried to decipher what his old friend was thinking calling the Order together, the situation must be dire indeed. Rushing to the meeting place of the Order, he entered and smiled at his fellow auror's as he approached Dumbledore. "Albus my old friend, things must be dire indeed to summon the Order. I am here if you need me." With a soft smile and a clasp on the shoulder Elphias took a seat as close to the front as he could manage.

Frank glanced over to Marlene and gave her a friendly hello, only to have Kingsley show up next to him. "Hey Kingsley," he said. He could tell his friend was excited. "Don't be too excited here Kingsley. I think it has something to do with the tournament or something. That is the only thing I could think of." Frank knew that Kingsley was ready to become an auror and was excited about it, and so was he, but he at the moment he could tell something was wrong. The atmosphere seemed somber.

Albus shook hands with his friend. In such dire times, it was a relief to have an old friend that he knew he could trust. "Elphias, my old friend. I'm so glad you could make it," he said. He didn't smile, though, as the situation was so serious. "We'll catch up after the meeting."

Alice had been in her dorm when she received the message that the Order was meeting. This didn't bode well no matter what it was about for a meeting to be called, something must have happened. As she got ready she put on something comfortable, an odd wizarding purple half dress-blouse that hugged her curves but felt loose and comfortable. She let her hair stay down today. She knew Frank would be there and at least wanted to look nice even if she wasn't quite talking to him yet, and it was also likely Marlene and Kingsley would be there too. All four had joined the order together.
As she arrived at the secret location, she looked around the room.. her eyes settling on Frank before looking for somewhere else to sit. Not that she didn't want to be there... she just wasn't ready to completely forgive him yet, no it would take more than a love letter to win her back. But deep in her heart she already knew she wanted him to. She sat down so that Marlene was between herself and Frank, though she never really said a word. She looked somber.

Post by Angelique St. Clare on Sept 28, 2008 14:18:21 GMT -5
When Dumbledore called the meeting of the Order of the Phoenix, Angelique decided that Andromeda had been hiding in her apartment long enough. Since Ted was unable to attend, there would be no fear of meeting him there, so it was the best possible time for her to get back to work. It had been four days already, and she couldn't let that article, or the breakup continue to get her down.
So she marched over to the girl's apartment and, after a long-winded lecture and a promise that Ted would not be at the meeting, dragged her out of the apartment and over to the Order's headquarters.
When they arrived, there were already a few people there. Angelique nodded at Dumbledore, Moody, and Elphias Doge, before going to sit next to Emily.

Following behind Angelique, Andi entered the headquarters with trepidation. Even though Angelique had assured her that Ted would not be there, a part of her still felt nervous. She quickly scanned the room, looking for him, and felt a curious mixture of conflicting emotions rush through her. On the one hand, she was relieved he wasn't there. On the other hand, she was disappointed that he wasn't there. Impossible to feel the two opposite emotions at once... but still she did.
Merlin, she was a mess. So it was a relief to see Alice there, and she immediately walked over to sit next to her cousin. "Hey, Alice," she said softly.

Alice looked relieved as well when Andi came to sit next to her. She had yet to have visited her cousin but she needed to talk to her later but not about Ted... about Frank. She gave her cousin a hug and said, "Hey Andi, I'm glad you're here. Hey do you think you could introduce me to your boss later? I still haven't met her and I would like to see if I can get in a word about training for an Auror when I graduate."

Kingsley slid over by Alice when he heard her talking to Andromeda. "Alice did you see who that is over in the corner?! It's Alastor Moody..." Calming himself as best he could, he tried to wrap his head around the fact that the great Alastor Moody was in the room with him. "I heard this Voldemort character and all his lackeys attacked Alastor and he not only fought them off but walked away from it afterwards." Realizing he sounded like a love struck girl, he quickly shut his mouth and stared at the ground for a moment to regain his composure.

Alice grinned. She'd already met Moody at the champion selection tournament and thought she was on fairly good terms with the man, even if he had almost accused her of being childish towards Sam. "Would you like to meet him?"

Minerva McGonagall walked into the room. She had received the message from Dumbledore of course, but she also knew what it was about. Her face had a very grim expression. The death of a child was never to be taken lightly and one of her own students was an even worse blow. She knew what this meant. Lord Voldemort was likely behind it and had a presence in the school. This meant the Order would be on high alert.
She spotted many faces she knew, smiled at her four Gryffindor students reasuringly as she could and walked over to sit next to Alastor Moody. Mainly because he was the one who was also aware of the situation and the seat was open. "Alastor" she nodded his name as she sat down.

Kingsley almost fell over in his seat as Alice asked if he would like to meet him. "Would I like to meet him?! Of course I would!" Realizing his voice had become a bit higher than planned, his face took on a hint of redness as he lowered his voice and began whispering quietly to Alice. "Could you introduce us? Wait of course you could, your cousin is an awesome auror himself and being Gryffindor house champion has got to have some pull with him..." He stared blankly across the room towards Alastor.

Alice squeezed Andi's hand, "I'll be right back Andi, save my seat ok?" She waited for Andi to nod, she wanted her cousin to know that she wasn't abandoning her. Before standing up. "Well come on, might as well after all we are all on the same team here."
She walked towards Alastor Moody and smiled at Professor McGonagall who was now sitting next to him. "Mr. Moody, I wanted to introduce you to another new recruit to the Order. I didn't even have to drag him along, he came willingly when I approached him about it. He also wants to become an Auror too after graduation. Kingsley Shacklebolt, meet Mr. Moody, one of the greatest Aurors I know." She smiled respectfully to the man she almost felt was like a father figure if ever there was one among the Aurors she knew besides her cousins Fabian and Gideon.

Alastor watched as Minerva approached when she sat down he grasped her shoulder firmly, hoping it could provide some comfort regardless of how small. Leaning in close he whispered into her ear. "We're going to get the one who did this, I promise you Minerva." Noticing Alice approaching out of the corner of his eye he quickly turned to face her and adopted the best smile he could manage under the circumstances.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Mr. Shacklebolt, I see Alice has been spinning tales of my greatness." Shaking Kingsley's hand, Alastor followed it with a pat on the back and a smile. "That's very good to hear, i'm glad to see such brave young gryffindors in the younger generations. You.." He paused for a moment to scan both Kingsley and Alice then indicated Marlene and Frank as well. "All do tribute to the memory of Godric Gryffindor." Motioning to a few free chairs around him he continued on. "If you two would like you are welcome to join me, bring your other two friends if you'd like."
