Andi had slipped back to the staff table quietly and spent the rest of the ceremony sitting with her head on the table. She barely even noticed when the ceremony had ended and the students began filing back to their houses.
She was exhausted, and yet restless. She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep, not without artificial help. She just hoped she could drink enough to knock her unconscious. That would be the only way she could imagine getting any sleep at all.

Nikita had been trying to find Andi ever since the end of the Ceremony, she had lost track when Andi had left them.
"Andromeda?" she called entering the staff room, "There you are, thank goodness. How are you feeling?"

Andi looked up at Nikita. She'd finally run out of tears--was it possible to run out?--and was now dry-eyed and very pale. Her eyes were puffy and sore, and she had to squint to see the blonde professor. "Yes... I'm here. Can we go get drunk now?"

Rystain had watched Lyra leave with some of the other students but he held back staying in his seat. He needed to talk to Alice and he wanted to congradulate her too. And with the look of how Alice and Josh were being so close before dinner he definatly needed to talk to her as soon as possible.
Of course there was also Lyra, she had actually met him toe to toe tonight. Not pulling back and not chasing him but.. accepting him on her own terms. Which suited Rystain perfectly well since those were terms he could actually live up to. No strings but avialable if he needed or wanted her. He knew she'd meant physically, and he intended to take her up on it.. soon. But he wasn't a needy little boy who couldn't wait either. He wasn't going to let her think that she could wrap him around her finger just by flicking it at him. Oh he was definitely going to take her offer, when it was convienent. She was actually more than he'd expected. She'd taken his terms and met them. There was no need to chase her, all he had to do was take and he certainly wanted to. Of course there were other girls in the castle that he wouldn't mind taking as well if the opportunity present itself. So the no strings gave him that out if he did take Lyra up on her offer. The ball was in his court now and knew he wanted to play the game. He wondered idly if others would join the game, but at least if some girl did approach him, he didn't have to feel guilty. Not with Lyra. Yes she was the perfect companion for him.
He leaned back against the table having turned around in his seat to watch the antechamber doors. He needed to speak with Alice and make sure she would hold to their deal. Now was the time since she seemed to have found herself someone else finally.

Narcissa didn't bother waiting for Sam to return, or say bye to the people around her, she just left the table without a word. She didn't care with the Slytherins thought. They could have their own opinions. Right now, Andi was more important, and Cissa didn't care if Bella disproved of her checking up on Andi. Part of her was angry at what happened to her. She hated to see Andi like this.
Following her sister, she finally spoke out. "Andi!"

Sirius also went to seek out Andi. He had some hope that Alice had been able to talk to her before the other champions came in, but he still needed to see for himself if Andi was OK. And if Rabastan Lestrange had done anything to her, he was determined to find a way to make the seventh year student pay for it.
He followed Narcissa, as she wandered around looking for Andi. But Narcissa found her first and he stood back, watching worriedly. Although he was not particularly fond of his cousin, if she could help Andi, then he would not stand in the way.

Although she wanted nothing more than the sweet oblivion only alcohol could give her, Andi turned at the sound of her sister's voice. Narcissa... the good sister... she felt incredibly glad to see her. She gave a little nod to Nikita, telling her to wait just a bit while she talked to Narcissa.
She flung her arms around her sister, making a low, strangled sound in the back of her throat. "Cissa," she said. "He.... he left me...."
There didn't seem to be anything else to say at that moment. Narcissa would know, possibly more than anyone else, just how much he'd meant to her and how much losing him would hurt. She was so relieved that she had one sister who genuinely cared, that she could confide in.

"Oh Andi," she said as she wrapped her arms around her. There was no use in saying that she was sorry. Saying she was sorry wouldn't make Andi happy again. Narcissa made a quiet soothing 'shh' sound as she gently rubbed Andi's back.
She understood why Andi was like this. Ted meant the world to her and then something happened. She knew that he would not just break up with her for no good reason. There had to be something going on, and she was going to find out what.

Andi's eyes were raw from all the crying she had done tonight, so she had no tears left. But she clung to her sister for a long time, taking some comfort that she at least had friends and family that cared about her. She had Alice, and Cissa, Sirius, and Molly... even Nikita, who she barely knew. She did not count Bellatrix or Rabastan in that group.
Looking up at Narcissa at last, she shook her head. "I just... I still don't really understand why it happened... why he stopped loving me. I know he did before... I felt it. I can't believe it was all a lie, no matter what he said..."

Narcissa put her hands on Andi's shoulders. "From what you've told me about him, there is no way he could stop loving you Andi. There's just something going on," she said. Now wasn't the time to tell her what she saw at dinner. She was going to have to do this on her own.
"But, Andi, stop putting yourself down. I don't like to see you upset. It makes me that way too." Narcissa wiped away a smear of makeup from Andi's face. "We'll figure it out Andi. I promise."

Andi wanted to hope, she really did. She wanted Narcissa to be right. But her heart was bleeding and she couldn't see any hope at that moment. She was questioning everything she had seen and felt in regards to Ted. Still, if he had walked in right then and told her it was all a mistake, she would have fallen into his arms easily and taken him back. And yet, if she saw another woman behaving that way, she would have tried to stop her. But Andi was having a hard time getting her heart to agree with her mind. None of this made any sense. A headache was building behind her eyes and she couldn't think on it anymore.
"But... he was kissing someone else. Some blonde. I don't know who she was. A student. And then he told me..." she trailed off and let out a loud choking noise. Just thinking of the words made her want to be sick. How could he have said them? How could he have meant them?

A blonde student? Narcissa's eyes narrowed. She knew of one that would pull something like that. The girl was one that was of her age, and Cissa depised her. She just seemed to full of herself.
"Shh Andi," Cissa said comforting her. "You don't have to tell me. It's alright. We'll figure everything out. I promise. Just try and get your mind off of it the best you can. I know it's impossible, but the more you think about it, the more it's going to hurt. I'll listen around and see what I can find out, okay?"

Andi twisted her mouth into an attempted smile. Somehow she couldn't actually smile anymore, so the expression sort of resembled a disgusted grimace. "Thank you, Cissa. I'm going to do whatever I can to forget... to stop thinking. I'm going drinking with Nikita here. I just need to be numb for a while."
She hugged Narcissa again, glad she had managed to get one sister on her side. "I'm going to the Leaky Cauldron, OK? I'll owl you tomorrow or something."

She gave Andi a smile. "You take care tonight Andi." Narcissa hugged her back tightly. "Alright. I'll be expecting one. Don't go too crazy tonight, please. I'll see you soon. Love you." Cissa gave a half smile this time. She hated to see Andi like this. Tomorrow, she was going to send an owl to Mr. Ted Tonks. She needed to speak with him.
Narcissa waved to Andi as she walked away.

Alice walked out of the room and saw Rystain waiting on her. What the heck was he doing there? Then she realized he must be waiting on Samantha. Alice looked around but didn't see Fred anywhere. He must have gone back to the commons and she sighed. He had hoped he would wait for her but he hadn't. Oh well, she shouldn't be too worried. It's not like they were dating or anything, surely she didn't expect him to wait on her.
Alice walked towards the exit to the Great Hall, not having seen Andi or Cissa who had moved off to the side.

Sirius stood back, listening. He knew about Andi's relationship with the muggleborn--it had been all over school before Andi had even started teaching. And he knew that her boyfriend had been the one that she had been talking about with Rabastan earlier that day. So... Rabastan was not the one who had hurt her. It was Ted Tonks. He frowned.
This was not something he'd expected. Ted was the one who'd put the smile on Andi's face in the first place; how could he also rip it away? The idea of it infuriated him. He was very protective of the people he cared about, and he wanted to fight this Ted Tonks for making Andi cry.
Instead, he made a decision. He turned and headed toward the Gryffindor common room. Andi needed a friend right now, and while he wasn't really qualified to be that friend, he knew someone else who was.

Rystain saw Alice come out of the antechamber, she was the first of the four champions to leave the room. He'd noticed that all the champions were girls and wondered if the Goblet was biased towards guys. He had been happy when Alice had been called as well as when Samantha had been called.
He stood up and called her, "Hey Alice, wait up.. I need to talk to you." He waited until Alice turned to him and he pulled her off to the corner of the Great Hall were they could have at least a little privacy to talk without being overheard by anyone.

Alice frowned as she realized Rystain had waited for her. What did he want? She raised her eyebrow at him but let him guide her away to a quiet area of the room so he could talk. She didn't usually talk to him much now but he was still her fiance even if neither of them told anyone else about it by mutual agreement since childhood.
When they stopped she turned to him again and asked, "what is this all about, Rystain?" She sounded a bit tired, and she was.. it had been a long day and she was exhausted... and she wanted to see Frank before bed.

Seth waited as everyone else began to leave. Sam's talk with him was still in his head. His realization of the fact he was in love with his best friend was a little shocking still, and he hadn't said much during the feast.
He had found a left over button on the floor. The buttons had been handed out the moment the champions had been chosen, showing which house supported who. The button Seth found said "Hufflepuff supports Maxi Borale"
Seth went to his pocket and grabbed a black marker, scribbling over the word 'Hufflepuff'. Then he grabbed some white ink that he had "borrowed" from Gage and wrote his own name over the black marker.
Now the button read "Seth Supports Maxi Borale!" Seth fastened it to his school robes and smiled.
Yes, Sam was his friend and she was representing Slytherin house. But like he told Sam at dinner.....
Seth loved Maxi.

Rystain spoke to Alice in a way he didn't normally speak to other girls. Mainly because he'd known her all his life and was one girl who was not suited for him as much as she was suited for him. It was a strange thing but something that only Alice and himself knew of other than their direct families.
"Well two things actually.. first of course is congratulations... I was very proud of you when I heard your name called. I think you will be an excelent champion for your house. A shame you weren't sorted into Slytherin like you're parents though." And that was part of their other issue... their parents.
