Vaughn sighed as he entered the Hog's Head. The sleeves on his white button up shirt was rolled up. He didn't bother putting on his top robe. Just the muggle dress pants, shoes, and white button up shirt.
He took a seat at the bar. He had been tracking a woman down for awhile now. She was the key to what he had been searching for because he decided that he would take on the job, partically because no one else wanted to mess with the case. Vaughn finally got a trail on her. Damn she was one hard woman to track. She seemed like she was careful whereever she would go, but know he knew that she had a job at Hogwarts as a Professor.
The Hog's Head was just a stop for him tonight. Tonight he would relax seeing as he found who he was looking for and it didn't seem like she was going anywhere anytime soon. Vaughn ordered a glass full of firewhiskey as he took a stool.

It was Vaughn's luck that landed him his quarry that night. Nikita was beat tired from work. She had traveled the world and done crazy things, and yet here she was undone by a bunch of teenagers, she smiled however when she thought of some of them. She had made one girl's day, she saw that in the girl's eyes and it warmed Nikita a lot.
Toying with the idea that she could actually stay a professor and live the sedate life made her happy and she was surprised, but then depressed. She had to keep moving on, there was no one stop. Soon they were going to figure out where she was and the hunt would start all over again. No she wasn't going to go through that.
Depression led her to the Hog's head, she could use the drink.
She was a teacher, and she supposed that called for a bit of decorum in her own clothing, but of course a rebel to the core she was wearing what she wanted to, high waisted jeans, they fit tightly. She had the legs why not show them off? Then a black top with lacy sleeves. She appeared the femme fatal.

Vaughn heard a man beside him gasp and he turned to look at the man to see what excatly was wrong. He noticed that the man was looking at something, or someone. Vaughn followed the man's eyes and thought he was going to choke on his drink. He turned around so that the woman wouldn't see his reaction if she even looked at him.
What luck he had tonight. In a way, he was disappointed that she came. Tonight was supposed to be relaxing, but she made an appearance at the one place he didn't think she would show. Now, Vaughn was going to have to observe her, and maybe, now would be an excellent time to try and talk to her. As he read in her file, he realized he couldn't be straight forward with her because he didn't want to scare her. He was going to have to get to know her and slowly bring out the answers he needed. Plus, he also made a promise to himself not to get attached in any way shape or form.
Vaughn turned his head slightly and greeted her with a nod before turning up his glass.

Godric save her from men. She rolled her eyes at the reaction she caused walking in to the Hog's head, you'd think some men had never seen a female before, although looking at the rougher crowd that assumption might have been correct...except for...
Merlin rescue her from *handsome* men. She returned the nod but it didn't deter her from her original journey to the bar ordering firewhiskey. She turned in her seat and leaned her elbows back waiting on her drink.

Vaughn noticed that she nodded back. Now all he had to do was go up and talk to her, however he didn't want her to think that she was being hit on or anything. Damn his lack of talking to women.
He never found the need to talk to women outside of his work, and he even rarely talked to the ones he worked with. Vaughn had sort of distanced himself from that kind of thing because he didn't want to say something and have a woman attached to him like a leech. He was better off on his own anyway.
Noticing a man start making his way to Nikita, Vaughn made a move that he didn't think about. He took a few long strides and he was beside Nikita. Taking a glance at the man who was about to speak to her with a lustful look in the man's eyes, Vaughn smiled at her. "Finally! For a few moments there I thought you had stood me up!" The man looked at Vaughn with pure disgust on his face, but all Vaughn did in reply was smile at the man.

Nikita's drink arrived and she noticed a man headed her way. She wasn't interested, she pressed the glass to her lips and was going to toss it back when Vaughn came to her "rescue" she was amused, honestly and smiled against the glass before playing along, " I wasn't sure you'd be here." she said honestly took the shot and turned to smile up at him with an "I know what your up to" look in her eyes.

"Of course. We said we'd meet here. I am a man of my word," said Vaughn. He motioned for a refill in his glass and looked back, noticing that the man was gone. After taking a sip of his firewhiskey, he raised an eyebrow at her. "What," he asked realizing her look. "I'm sorry that I figured you didn't want to be harrassed tonight. Plus, I needed a refill." Vaughn gave her a slight nod. "And your welcome," he said turning to walk back to his table.

She shook her head slightly, but was still smiling. Getting a refill herself until she noticed another braver man coming to try his luck. She rolled her eyes, she knew that the "pretending to be your date" trick, was another trick but when a guy looked the way Vaughn did, and didn't persue, then perhaps it was safe to follow through, she tossed down the drink and got up to follow him, she caught his wrist to stop him and turn him back to her, with a devilish twinkle in her eye she smirked at him, "You know it's good manners to let me thank you before you say you're welcome."
And she did thank him, without a moment's hesitation she pulled against him and pressed her lips to his, everything was pressed against him in fact and although the kiss was for show, to ensure she didn't get anymore offers that night, she would have to admit that it was nice to be flush against him.

Vaughn chuckled a little at her comment. "Well, I must not forget my manners then should I?" However, her next move took him by complete surprise. How long had it been since he kissed a woman, or a woman kissed him? Three or four years? He figured that it must have been for show, but still. Vaughn's body stiffened but he did kiss her back for a moment, just for show.
Pulling away, Vaughn raised an eyebrow and took her hand leading her to his table. He pulled out her chair for her, out of manners and of show. He didn't know what to say after what just happened. Instead, he put his glass of firewhiskey to his lips and took a drink.

He didn't kiss like it had been four years since he last kissed a woman, once he got into it that was. There was initial surprise, which she had expected, but after that it was enough to leave her knees weak, and Nikita didn't get weak knees. When he pulled back her smirk returned to her face, she wouldn't show weak knees.
It was belated but she felt his hand for a wedding band subtly and smiled when there wasn't one, that was just what she needed and was surprised when he pulled out her chair for her. "Thank you." she said waiting to see if he'd blush. When he took a drink she was hard pressed not to laugh but there was amusement in her eyes.

Vaughn just gave her a quick smile. He didn't know what to do, and honestly, he felt a little bit awkward. There was no where in his line of work that he had to kiss a woman. It wasn't that he was completely against it, but it left his head feeling fuzzy. That wasn't supposed to happen and Vaughn didn't sign up for that. However, he knew that he couldn't back out of this case. Plus, he did get her to join him at his table. Maybe things wouldn't be that hard, and maybe she wouldn't suspect to much of anything.
"You're welcome," he replied politely. Vaughn studied her facial expressions and knew that she was amused, but he didn't understand why, unless of course he just randomly walked up to her to 'rescue' her from 'evil men'. He also noticed a blush to her cheeks, but Vaughn wasn't one to comment on such things. "What's so funny?"

"That's my secret." she told him enigmatically, but really it was his bafflement that amused her not that she expected anything else, but it was still funny. She would have been baffled herself if a stranger just came up and kissed her.
"What brings a guy like you to a place like this?"

Arching an eyebrow just slightly, he took another sip before swallowing and sat his glass on the table. "Well, I guess I shouldn't say it's a secret. I just came her to relax actually. The club is too active. People yelling everywhere, dancing, all that stuff, and then you have the Hog's Head. Here, you get better drinks, not to mention you don't get asked to dance every five seconds. Plus, it's just a little bit quieter here, much better place to relax." Vaughn realized that his comment sounded a little lame, but he didn't care.
"What about you? What brings a woman like you, to a place like this?"

She blinked not expecting all that, when he asked her in turn she shrugged, " I don't party." she said as if that explained why she didn't go to the club, " I just needed a drink." and that was all to that. She smiled in part, " Besides a woman like me fits in just fine in a place like this." though she was somewhat bitter over that fact as well that bitterness was deep inside her and something she laced over with years of familiarity and sometimes fond memories.

"Not trying to be offensive or anything, but you don't seem the type of woman to be in a place like this, looks wise that is," replied Vaughn. "And I agree with you on party. I'm not too big on those. I prefer the whole drinking alone where people don't really bother you scene." He finished off his glass.
"So, not trying to sound like I'm hitting on you, but what makes you the type to be around here," he asked with interest.

She smiled well apparently it wasn't easy for her to drink alone and she had ended up drinking with him, "Drinking alone can be overrated." it wasn't really how she felt, but she did owe the guy. Please, she didn't owe anybody anything.
She shrugged at his repeated question, "Wanted a drink."

Vaughn a quiet scoffing like sound through his nose. "Drinking alone is the usually the only way I drink. Tonight just so happens to be an exception."
He raised an eyebrow. She wasn't really the woman he thought she was from reading her file. He sort of thought that she would sort of be looking over her shoulder all the time, and maybe not so bold. In a way, Vaughn was glad that he misinterpurted the way she was.
She was basically here the same reason he was. "So, what's your name?"

She supposed he'd earned her name at least, " Professor Long." she told him, truthfully. Though there was a smile in her eyes, she ordered another drink, not firewhiskey though, just a beer.
She narrowed her eyes at him, leaning forward trying to guess his name, and frowned when the answer didn't come to her, she took a sip of her drink.

Professor Long? She didn't give her first name, but he would work with it. "Well, I suppose it's the right time to say, it's nice to meet you Professor." Vaughn gave her a smile.
He couldn't help but chuckle as she leaned forward and narrowed his eyes. "What are you doing," he asked. "Are you trying to read my mind or something?" His eyes danced with amusement. "It's Vaughn," he replied with a grin.

It was like a game Nikita thought, one that she hadn't played in a while. She hadn't been on a "date" in... well she didn't care to count the months, making small talk was strange. She nodded, "It suits you." she replied when he said his name, though she wondered if it was his first or last. She took another sip of her drink and lowered her lashes, as if she wasn't going to say anymore before she let her name slip.
"Nikita. Nikita Long."
