Jon walked tiredly into the door as he finished up his shift at St. Mungo's. So many different patients were in his care during his shift he didn't really have time to stop for a breath of fresh air. Ever since Lucie went on vacation, Jon made sure that he was busy so that he wouldn't feel lonely. After today, he had five days off. In his case, that was a relief. Working night shift seemed to wear him out more than the day shift. Once he unlocked the door and went in, shutting the door behind him, Jon headed for the kitchen. He poured himself a bowl of cereal and finished it off quickly before heading off to bed for a few hours sleep.
After only six hours sleep, Jon woke up, unable to return to sleep. He glanced over at the clock. 1:00 in the afternoon. Groaning he stood up and walked back into the living room pulling on his t-shirt as he yawned. The house was still empty and he gave a sigh. Jon stepped back into the kitchen, pulling up his pajama pants once again, and started a pot of coffee, in desperate need of something with caffeine.

After a long vacation, Lucie was determined to get home to see Jon, she was so desperate to be reunited with him. She ran up the path towards the front door and beamed, ''Home, sweet home.'' She said. She opened the door only to hear silence, she looked up from her feet and stared into the kitchen. There he was, in his pajama pants and his t-shirt looking terribly tired, Lucie grinned and dropped her luggage and raced towards him. She wrapped her arms around his chest and squeezed him tightly.

Jon didn't hear the door open because he was to busy zoning out watching the coffee being made. He stood up straight from leaning on the counter just as he heard a thud from the living room. As soon as he turned his body to see who it was, a grin appeared on his face as he saw brown hair running towards him. Luckily he had his weight evened out between his feet as Lucie's arms went around him. He wrapped his own arms around her warmly. She had been gone too long in his mind. The feel of her in his arms again felt great. It was something he missed way too much.
"Lucie," he said with a smile on his face. "You're home. I can't tell you how happy I am to see you. Plus, you have amazing timing. I just woke up a few minutes ago. How was everything? Did you have fun?"

Lucie lifted her head with her arms still wrapped around him, ''I've missed you so much, Jon.'' She said smiling, ''You've only just woke up? Your lazy'' She laughed, ''I had a good time, but it would have been better if you were there.'' She added. She could brought her face close to his chest and recognised his scent she had missed for weeks, she began to relax her arms but they still remained around his waist.

Jon gave a laugh. "I just got off work at seven this morning," he replied. "I came in, ate cereal and went to bed. That's about how it's been since you've been gone." Jon sighed. "I'm glad that you had a great time. Next time, try not to be gone so long. Oh yeah, and you're really lucky actually. I have a whole five days off now." He grinned again and kissed her head. "Do you my dear want a cup of coffee?"

Lucie laughed, ''I won't be going anywhere without you again, I really missed you like you were part of me, it may sound silly, but I feel like I'm lost when I'm without you.'' She said. Lucie leaned forward and kissed him, ''I'd love a cup of coffee.'' She said.

Jon released Lucie for a few moments and went to the cabinets to grab to mugs. He filled both with coffee. Handing Lucie her mug he couldn't help but smile. Now he had a reason to smile instead of just putting one on. "You know, I think we should go to dinner tonight or something. There's not really any food in the house. I haven't had the time to go out and buy any. I've been doing nothing but working while you've been gone. I'd come home, sleep, go back to work, and repeat. It's been boring actually, however now that you're home and I have five days off, I figure we can find a way to entertain ourselves."

Lucie sipped some coffee from her mug, it was perfect as usual and then she smiled ''You shouldn't work so hard, your working all the time.'' She replied. ''Aah and where is my prince charming going to swoop me off to this fine evening?'' She added laughing and sipped some more of her coffee.

"I had to work all the time," replied Jon. "I didn't like coming home to an empty house all the time, so I had to have something that took up my time while you were gone." He picked up his mug and took a long sip, letting the hot liquid flow down his throat. "Hm. I was thinking about that. Maybe the Hot Panini? Or we could go to that other restaurant in town. The French one. That maybe good. Which ever one you have a craving for will be fine with me. I've just been eating cereal, toast, and sandwiches all the time."

Lucie smiled, ''Well you don't have to worry anymore because I'm never gonna leave you again.'' She said, ''I miss you to much. Well seen as I've ate properly these last few weeks, you choose the restauraunt and dinner is on me.'' She laughed.

"Lucky you," replied Jon with a laugh. "We shall go to the French restaurant, and no ma'am, I can't let you pay for dinner. It just isn't right. After all, I'm the one that asked you to dinner." He gave her a wink. "And maybe we could go to the store in a bit and get some groceries. I haven't been since you left. I haven't had the time." It felt nice being able to see Lucie in person again. Every morning, he woke up to see her moving picture beside the bed, however that still wasn't as good as waking up and see her in the house. "Oh yes. Make sure that you wear something really nice tonight. I have to shave and all that stuff. I haven't shaved in a while and I'm starting to grow a beard."

Lucie laughed, ''Yeah we'll pop in and I'll buy whatever you want.'' She said, she couldn't wait for tonight. She just wanted to cuddle him forever, being on vacation made her love Jon even more than she loved anyone before, she missed his smile and how he made her coffee perfect in the morning. She laughed at his comment about the beard, ''We can't be having that now.'' She said, and felt his prickly chin. ''Definate shave.'' She added.

Jon laughed as Lucie felt his chin. "Oh I will. Even my patients are saying I'm starting to look rough! So, we know that's pretty bad. I couldn't grow a full out beard anyway. It wouldn't be right for me." He winked and reached over, tracing a finger on her jaw line as far as he could reach. "I think you may need a shave too. You're starting to grow a beard." He grinned and took another sip of his coffee. "Speaking of that, we'll go to dinner at 8. In the mean time, I want to take at least an hour's sleep. After that, we can go to the grocery store and then off to dinner! Come on Lucie. You know you're tired." He walked over to her chair and with out warning, he picked her up.

Lucie grinned back, ''Oh somebody is on the cheeky side this afternoon!'' She said after being swooped up off her feet. ''I must say I am a little tired'' She said and laughed, she put her head on his chest and her hands around his neck, she kissed him and felt his beared tickle her soft face, ''I've missed this so much.'' She said.

Winking, Jon carried her towards their bedroom. "It's been driving me crazy with you not here. This house is way too quite and empty when you're gone." He carefully laid her on the bed then jumped over her to his side of the bed, pulling the covers over both of them. "Now maybe I can sleep better than what I have been." Jon wrapped his arms around Lucie and pulled her close to him, breathing in her shampoo's scent. It was like strawberries and he smiled. "This is much better than just staring at your photograph and wishing you were here."

Lucie smiled and cuddled Jon underneath the covers. ''I could hardly sleep, it was hard enough being too hot but without you there, it made it worse.'' She said. ''I'm here now and we don't have to go anywhere, pictures of you filled my head when I wasn't here, I couldn't stop thinking about you.'' She leaned up, ''Jon.'' She said and paused, ''I've been thinking about it for a while now and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I never want be away from you again.'' She said.
((OOC: This is so cute! Haha))

"It looks like we had the same problem. Of course I'm better than the pictures." He gave her a wink and looked down at Lucie and smiled. "I'll always be here Lucie. You don't have to worry about that." Jon kissed the tip of her nose. He had been thinking about the same thing. The longer Lucie was away, the more it made him miss her and want her with him. A plan started to form in his mind, as well as another grin formed on his face.

Lucie laughed, ''You sure are and I know.'' She said, ''What are you thinking?.'' She asked as she noticed Jon's grin getting bigger on his face.

Jon continued to grin. "Why would you think I was thinking of anything? And besides, even if I am thinking about something, I can't tell you. Not yet at least." While she was away, he started to think of his current plan at the time, and this moment made him sure he was going to finish his plan. "I promise, I'll let you in on the plan soon enough. Don't worry your pretty little head about it just yet."

Lucie laughed, ''When you have that grin on your face I know your thinking of something, I know you too well Mr Thomas.'' She said, ''You better had let me in on it, you know I don't like secrets.''
