Getting Supplies (Amy, Kris)

[Sirius Black]

After Sirius and Kris left James and the others, they headed directly to Zonko's Joke Shop. Sirius had some supplies he needed for pranks and other things, and there was no better place to go.

When they got to the shop, Sirius opened the door and held it for Kris. "After you," he said, grinning as he bent into a highly exaggerated bow.

Kris giggled as she walked inside, she looked around in awe, she hadn't been in this store before.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius took her hand and led her over to a display of fireworks. "Here, check these out," he said. "Have you ever seen muggle fireworks? These are like that, only they're magic and not fire. I was thinking of getting some, so we could set them off on the next holiday."

[Kris Lupin]

"Yeah, Muggles have a day they celebrate to do fireworks, it's called fourth of July and it's to celebrate the day they got indepentdance." Kris said looking at them, "My fake mother had me celebrate with her." She reached out and touched the box wondering if they use fire to make them work. She thought it was kinda funny, there were witches and wizards that barely knew about Muggles but she was a witch and barely knew about magic.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius picked up a few of the boxes. "I'll just get a few, because they're technically illegal on the school grounds. Not that I let that stop me, of course," he added with a grin. "But I don't want you to get in trouble if you're watching me set them off."

He paused and glanced around the shop. "Let's see... what else do I need...?"

[Amy Icefire]

Amy had just come from replenishing her candy stash at Honeydukes when she decided to talk a stroll around Zonko's Joke Shop. She was enjoying the stress free visit to Hogsmeade by herself. Amy threw her packages in her bag and opened the door to Zonko's. She took a glance around the store entirely missing the fact that there were other students in there with her. She hadn't heard of anyone else going to Hogsmeade this weekend. Amy started at a rack near the front of the store, which held all of the stores new merchandise.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris playfully pushed Sirius. "Keep talking to yourself and people will think your crazy."

[Sirius Black]

As Sirius was looking around the shop, his eyes fell on a familiar figure. She had her back to him, but he knew it was her. Suddenly his stomach felt queasy and his breathing quickened. What was she doing here? What if Kris saw her? What if... what if they came face-to-face? Would Kris be able to tell what had happened between them by the awkwardness?

The worst part was that, deep in his heart, he was happy to see her. His heart was beating faster, and his palms were beginning to sweat. He was having a tough time maintaining his grip on the boxes of fireworks he was holding.

"Um, let's go over here," he said to Kris, grabbing her by the elbow and leading her to the opposite side of the store to look at a display of dungbombs.

[Kris Lupin]

"Ok." Kris said, she looked at the dungbombs, she didn't understand why anyone would make these. "What all do they have here?"

[Amy Icefire]

Amy picked up a small box of sparklers that looked quite promising. She'd go up to the owlery later that night and light them. Ironically, she felt the most at home when she was up there.

She turned around and headed toward the counter when she heard a familiar voice. It couldn't be him. She thought to herself. It was just her mind playing tricks on her. Amy faced the direction where the voice had come from anyways and saw Sirius. For a few moments, she simply stood there staring at him; suddenly they made eye contact. Her heart melted. She was well aware that he had a girlfriend. But then what was the kiss at the library about? Even though she doubted it, she desperately hoped it had meant something. Maybe she could ask him, or simply say hi to him at the least.

Amy cautiously tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and gave him a small smile. She went to take a step towards him, when she heard another familiar voice. Kris's. She couldn't see the girl due to a several large displays, but she was sure that the voice was of his girlfriend. Amy's heart dropped as she took several steps backwards.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius glanced up, and against his will, looked over at Amy. She had spotted him, and was staring at him. He couldn't help it... for a minute he stared back. Their eyes locked and he felt the bottom drop out of his stomach. His heart was pounding.

And then Kris spoke. Immediately, he felt like the no-good, dirty rat that he was. Kris loved him, he loved her, and he'd wanted to spend this day with her, having fun with her. And here he was, staring at Amy. He bit his lower lip and tore his eyes away from her to look at Kris. "Oh, um... loads of things. Trick wands, stink pellets..." He paused and picked up a dungbomb. "These are great. Well, not for the person you use them on, but... they're great for a prank," he said.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris scrunched up her nose. "I would hate to be on the wrong end of a prank with those." She bit her lower lip as she felt the shop getting crowded.

[Amy Icefire]

Amy stopped taking steps backwards as she noticed she almost ran into the shelves behind her. Sirius had a girlfriend, and it was for the best that she try and keep away. However, how could she keep away whenever he popped up everywhere she went? She took a deep breath and disappeared behind another row of prank items. From where she was, she could still see a bit of Sirius, and she glanced that way. Amy couldn't help herself. What was about him that made her this way? She shook her head and picked up another small box of sparklers. She had to do something to get her mind off of him. Things just simply couldn't keep carrying on this way.

Amy went deeper into the store, trying to get away from Sirius and Kris the best she could. If she made way towards the door, she would pass them, and right now, that was something she didn't really want to do. She feared that her legs would stop in front of him and she may end up doing something stupid.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius glanced down at Kris and shrugged. "Yeah, they are pretty nasty, actually. My brother Regulus got me with one once. Still, it was kinda funny... and I did deserve it. I'm not gonna tell you why, though." He gave her a quick wink. Then, unable to help himself, he looked over to the spot where Amy had been, only to find that she was gone. He felt simultaneous pangs of relief and disappointment shoot through him.

"Um, let's go over there," he suggested to Kris, pointing to an area on the other side of the store. "James and I are working on a project and we need some magic parchment."

[Kris Lupin]

Kris looked at him, "Magic parchment?" She had never heard of anything like that. To her it sounded intresting, she wondered what it could be used for.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius nodded, but he was still distracted as he looked around for Amy. "Yeah, you know, like disappearing parchment. It has a charm on it that whatever you write on it will disappear and reappear with a password. We're thinking of making a map of the school, but we don't want others to know we're doing it." He stopped in front of the display of charmed objects. He still didn't see Amy anywhere, but he looked down at the display, trying to distract himself. He couldn't let Kris know that he was looking for another girl. A girl that he'd kissed. "Oh, hey, a magic quill... does the writing for you..." he commented.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris crossed her arms, "That's for lazy people... though it could come in handy if you need to do a lot of homework." She said not noticing him looking around, she picked one up and bit her lower lip she wondered how it worked.

[Sirius Black]

"It would save on the hand cramps, though," Sirius said. "I could tell it what to write, and it would do it for me." He grinned and picked up a couple and put them in his basket. As he did, he craned his neck slightly, looking for Amy.

[Amy Icefire]

Amy sighed as she looked through the merchandise. She glanced to her right and noticed Sirius and Kris coming that way. Why did it seem that he was following her, even if he didn't mean to? She ducked from view behind another shelf. When they stopped at the charmed objects display, Amy knew that she couldn't get away without them seeing. She sighed and finally stepped out of where she was 'looking'. Amy prayed that her feet wouldn't stop as she passed them, however her feet did. She glanced towards Sirius and her eyes found his. Amy made her feet move as she tore her eyes from his face and then she gave a gentle smile, then continued on her way passed them. Her heart seemed to be pounding from her chest and she just shook it off. She couldn't like a guy that was taken, it just wasn't right, but she did anyway.

Amy didn't leave, she just found another shelf to start looking at other items further away from the couple.

Kris caught a whiff of Amy's scent but she had to act like she hadn't noticed anything because she hadn't seen her and there was a lot of people walking behind them. Kris wondered if that was why Sirius had wanted to look at the dungbombs. She didn't like being in the same building as Amy, she was her age sure but she knows Sirius was taken. She put down the quill then looked at Sirius, "I'm a little hungry, lets go buy some candy." She was also a little tired but she was ignoring that fact.
