Flying(Sirius)

[Kris Lupin]

Kris bit her lower lip and nodded. "Yeah, tell me." She held her breath as she waited.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius winked at her. "I was just thinking... how I never kissed anyone in mid-air before." He moved his broom a little closer to hers and reached out to touch a piece of her hair. "So what do you say? Want to be my first?"

[Kris Lupin]

Kris smiled and nodded, "I want to be your only."

[Sirius Black]

Sirius leaned over his broom and moved in closer to her. He put one hand on her cheek while the other held the broom steady. Then he pressed his lips to hers in a soft, gentle kiss. He felt lightheaded as he finally pulled away, and he wasn't sure if it was from the kiss or the height. "How was that?" he teased.

[Kris Lupin]

"Wow... I think that kiss was better then the ones on the ground." Kris smiled then leaned over and kissed his cheek.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius grinned and felt his cheeks get warm. He didn't blush often, and the feeling was strange to him. "Yeah, I think it was, actually," he said. "I should kiss you in mid-air more often." He did a small loop on his broomstick and came back to the same spot where he'd been before.

[Kris Lupin]

"But don't let that stop you from kissing me down on the ground." Kris grinned as she leaned over to kiss him but lost her balance and the broom turned her over so she was upside down Kris clinged to the broom with her eyes closed.

[Sirius Black]

"Crap!" Sirius blurted out as Kris flipped over and was suddenly hanging upside down from her broom. He flew the short distance down, so that he was under her, then grabbed onto her waist, holding her securely. "Let go of the broom," he said. "I've got you, and I won't drop you, OK? I want to pull you onto my broom with me, and then we'll fly back to the ground."

"What if I fall?" Kris asked she trusted him but she was still scared, she knew they were high up so she didn't want to fall. She could feel her heart race as she thought about falling, she bit her lower lip and shook as she imagined falling.

[Sirius Black]

"You won't fall," Sirius said, tightening his grip around her waist. "I won't let you. Just let go. It'll be OK, I promise." He kept his voice even, so that she wouldn't know that he was just as scared as she was. His stomach was churning nervously. But he knew there was no way he was going to let her fall.

[Kris Lupin]

"O-ok." She slowly let go of the broom but kept her eyes shut, incase she did fall she didn't want to see it happen.

[Sirius Black]

When she let go, Sirius quickly pulled her down onto his broom, which dipped down a little lower due to the extra weight. Her broom hung there in mid-air, and he carefully reached up and grabbed it, still holding her with his other arm. "It's OK," he said soothingly. "You're safe now. We're just going to fly down to the ground now, OK?"

[Kris Lupin]

"O-OK." Kris said in a shaky voice, she kept her eyes closed not wanting to open them until she was on solid ground. Her breathing was shaky as she was still scared, she knew she would be until she was on the ground.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius held her tight as he flew the broom back towards the ground. He kept the broom steady as possible and tried not to make any sharp or sudden movements that would scare her any more than she already was. As they got closer to the ground, he said in a soothing tone, "We're almost there. It's going to be OK."

[Kris Lupin]

"Just tell me when we are there." Kris said holding tightly to the broom, she felt as if she just had a near death experience. She didn't what to let go of the broom or open her eyes until she was safely back on the ground.

[Sirius Black]

"OK," Sirius replied calmly. He guided the broom down slowly. He wanted her to think that he was completely calm, but the truth was, he was still a little scared about what had almost happened. Even though he felt in control now, he knew that just a few minutes ago, Kris had nearly fallen to her death. It gave him chills to think about it.

Finally he reached the ground and he landed the broom gently. "OK," he said. "We're on the ground now. You can open your eyes."

Kris opened her eyes then got off the broom, she hugged herself as she looked at the broom. She had tears rolling down her face as she thought about what had just happened. She didn't know what dould have happened if Sirius hadn't been with her.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius dropped both brooms and wrapped his arms around her. "Shhhh, it's OK now... you're safe," he said. "You're going to be fine. Just sit down with me." His heart was beating very fast and he could feel hers doing the same. "Please relax with me... just let me hold you."

[Kris Lupin]

Kris couldn't speak she just clung to him and tried to stop shaking, she didn't know if she would ever get on a broom again. She tried to calm down and tried to stop crying but she couldn't, she still felt scared, she couldn't help but think about what would have happened if Sirius hadn't been there.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius held her close to him and rubbed his hand along her back. He was calmer now, and it felt good to hold her and to know that she was real and solid and warm. But she was still horribly upset. She was still crying and shaking and couldn't seem to calm down, even though she was safe now. He knew how sensitive and emotional she was, and he hoped she would be able to calm down and that she wouldn't develop a fear of flying. "Shhhhhhhhh... it's OK... please don't cry... you're safe now. I've got you..."
