Cassidy was so angry about the article that she apparated over to Tyler's house, still holding the paper clutched in her hand. She took a deep breath for courage, then knocked loudly on the door. "Open up, Jackson, you lying snake!" she yelled.

Tyler had just woken up a little bit ago and was eating breakfast when he heard Cassidy knocking on the door and yelling. He wasn't quite sure why she was over at his place at such an early time, but she sure didn't sound too happy. He walked up to his door and opened it slowly, a bit confused about what was going on. "Uh...Hey." He said, nervously. "What's the matter?"

Cassidy stared at him, feeling so angry and frustrated that she thought she might cry. "I suppose you were just laughing at me behind my back the whole time, weren't you? I was just some dumb, innocent girl who'd believe whatever you told me, was that it?"

"Wait...what? What are you talking about?" Tyler asked, still very confused about what in the world she was saying. Clearly he was missing something. "What's gotten into you?" He asked, with an eyebrow raised. She seemed very uncharacteristically angry.

"Oh, right. Of course you'd deny it," Cassidy said irrationally, pushing past him and walking into the house. "The thing is, I'm not surprised you lied to me, after all, I can be kind of naive and trusting. But fooling Dumbledore... that's got to be the worst. How could you?" she cried, waving the folded-up newspaper in front of him.

"OK...I seriously still don't know what you're talking about." Tyler said, eyeing her suspiciously. He shut the door and turned to her as she walked into the house. He took the newspaper from her and looked over it. It was folded over to a page near the back. He found a bolded title that said 'Bambi's Report- What Really Happened to Tyler Jackson'. He frowned as he quickly scanned over the article. "No! That b*tch!" Tyler erupted, cursing distractedly. He put his hand on the top of his head in fury. He tossed the newspaper aside onto the table, not sure of what to say to Cassidy.

Cassidy wiped at her eyes. "So, are you going to explain to me what that article was all about?" she said angrily. "How you not only lied to me, but bragged about it to that reporter?" She folded her arms in front of her.

"What?" Tyler replied, quickly looking up at her. "You believe all of this?" He asked, gesturing towards the paper. "No, none of this is true. Its all bull crap. She took my words of out context. I never lied to you." He frowned again, realizing that this was gonna be all over the place. Surely no one would believe him now. He had made a huge mistake in ever answering the girl's questions in the first place.

Cassidy looked at him carefully, trying to read his expression. "Well, of course you'd say that..." she said, but some of her anger began to fade. There was still truth in his eyes. "I mean, if you had been lying all along, you'd want to keep doing it, to prove your innocence... but then, you wouldn't be stupid enough to tell a reporter..." She twisted her hands nervously. "I want to believe you... but... where would she get all that from?"

"C'mon, Cass..." Tyler began, stopping short when he realized how awkward it was to call her by a nickname. "Err...Cassidy...I wouldn't lie to you about all of that. One, because even if any of that article was true, I'm not stupid enough to first lie about all of it to my case worker- the only person capable of getting me out of this. And second of all, I wouldn't lie to you period. You're my only friend in this. Honestly." He explained. "I know you know I'm being honest. Why would you believe a newspaper columnist, especially one from the Daily Prophet?"

Cassidy looked at him again, feeling the rest of the anger drain out of her. "I... I believe you," she said slowly. "It would be stupid to tell the reporter everything like that... I mean, unless she had you under Veritaserum or something... she didn't, did she?"

"No. No, of course not." Tyler quickly replied. But he was quite surprised that the girl hadn't thought of it. "Look, I'm completely telling the truth, OK? I promise you." He said, feeling relieved that she seemed to believe him again. "In fact, if there was any way that you could even possibly prove that I am lying, I would personally allow you to beat the stuffing out of me and throw me in Azkaban. Does that it make it clear enough?" He asked, continuing to look up at her while he began to smile a little bit.

Cassidy managed a smile. "OK, I guess that'll do," she said. She shook her head. "I shouldn't have believed it... I don't know why I did. I guess it was because of that conversation I had with Charles Mortensen. He said some things..." she shook her head. "Obviously he's a liar. I shouldn't have let him get to me."

"Wait...what conversation with Charles? What kind of things did he say?" Tyler asked indignantly. After he saw how upset she got over the messed up article, he didn't want anyone else planting false ideas and explanations in Cassidy's head.

"Yeah, I talked to him yesterday," Cassidy said. "He said... he said... Ugh, it's too disgusting to repeat. He said that... Claudia... that she convinced you to join with her... and not by torturing you. He meant that she... that you and her... You wouldn't right? Not with her...?"

It took Tyler a few moments to realize what she meant, but when he did he frowned with a look of disgust. "Oh god, no....Claudia and me? Ugh. That's sick." He shook his head. "Seriously, Charles is a liar. I wouldn't trust anything he told you. Have you talked to anyone else lately though?" He asked, hopefully. Someone had to have known the third death eater behind the attack.

Cassidy sighed with relief. "I... I'm glad to hear that," she said. "Um, welll, I'm still trying to find a few of the other Order members who were present at the attack... It seems that Voltaire has gone missing. I'm going to check back with Crystal Jacobs tomorrow to see if she talked to the third death eater... Hopefully, she'll have good news for me. Or at least, better than anything I got out of Charles. He really was quite rude. But I'm going to have to do something about this report... do you think there's a chance we can get the paper to print a retraction? They can't just post complete lies like that, can they?"

Tyler thought for a moment. "It doesn't really seem right, but I'm sure they do it all the time. But with the right leverage, I'm sure we could get them to make some kind of public statement or apology. But what kind of evidence do we have? Unless someone wants to try and stuff some veritaserum down Bambi Ackart's throat." He sighed. "I can't believe I didn't see any of this coming. I'm such an idiot to go and risk screwing up everything you're trying to work for." He frowned and leaned up against the nearest wall, sliding down to the ground where he sat.

"It's not your fault. You just trusted the wrong person," Cassidy said gently. "If she had been on the level, she could have been a great help to our case. But she wasn't. I'll find a way to deal with it. But I'm just going to warn you, you'd better hope Vincent Corrigan doesn't see this article, or he may head over here next to smash your face in or something." She walked over to him and knelt down in front of him. "We knew this wasn't going to be easy. And it was starting to be a bit too easy. It's a setback, but it's not a disaster."

Tyler nodded, managing a small smile. "Yeah, OK. I suppose you're right. I think I should probably stay home for a little while. Lately, it seems like whenever I go out, bad things only follow." He chuckled a little bit at her mention of Vincent, even though he knew she wasn't kidding. "And that way I can hide from Vincent too. I'd like to keep my face the way it is- completely smash free. At least for today anyways." He joked lamely, looking up at her and smiling again. He couldn't help but stare at her sometimes. One look into her eyes made him feel so happy and peaceful.
