Kris walked to the back door but didn't go outside, she was waiting for Remus to return from talking to Skye.

Skye heard the gentle tapping at the door and glanced quickly at Dawn. The girl had drifted into a light sleep, so Skye stood up and walked to the door. "Hello, Remus," she whispered, seeing the young pup on the other side. "Is everything all right?"

Remus nodded. "Yes," he whispered back. "I just wanted to let you know that me and Kris are going to play outside for a while. We won't go far, I promise."

Skye smiled. "Of course. Just stay close, and come in before it gets dark." She stepped out of the room and closed the door quietly behind her, so that she was now standing in the hallway with Remus. "I will be close by. I think I should let Dawn sleep for a while, so I will be sitting on the front porch."

Kris smiled then opened the back door, "You know, even though you're suppose to have more people in tag we always played it with one another." She said as she held the door open for him, she remembered playing with him until it was almost dark.

"I wish I could remember," Remus said. "I don't remember playing with anyone. I only remember being alone all the time, having nothing to do and no one to play with. The couple of times I tried to make friends turned out badly... the parents didn't want their kids playing with me, because they would hear all the weird noises and see the weird cuts and scratches all over me. I can't even imagine what they thought was wrong with me."

"Probably," remus said. "At the time, I didn't think about that... I didn't even really know that kind of thing happened. I was so nervous back then... I always thought everyone knew what I was and that was why they hated me." He sighed. "What do you think would happen if the kids at school found out?"

"Yeah, I guess you're right," Remus said sadly. But to himself, he couldn't help but think that all of that would be nothing compared to how it would feel to be rejected by his friends. It seemed he was always losing the people he cared about, and Kris was the first person he'd lost that had ever come back.
Shaking off these thoughts, he grinned at her, then tapped her on her shoulder as if with an imaginary wand. "Taggis, you're it!" he yelled, then ran away.

"I'm gonna get you!" Kris yelled laughing as she chased after him. She remembered Remus was normallly 'it' first but he had caught her off guard.

Remus laughed as he ran through the yard as fast as he could. It felt strange, but good, to play and be care free for a change. Like he was actually a normal kid. "You can't get me!" he yelled.

Remus ran faster, nearly tripping over a large tree root. He managed to jump over it, but the move had slowed him down slightly. He looked back to see where she was, and as he did, he missed another tree root. This time he tripped and fell down on his knees.

"Remus!" Kris said slowing down to go over the first root. She knelt down beside him and put her hand on his shoulder and looked at him in a worried way, "Are you ok?" She had always got worried when he got hurt, she was always worried that he might hurt himself real bad.

Remus slowly sat up and rubbed his knees. "I'm fine," he said, feeling a little embarrassed. "It's just a little scrape. Well, two little scrapes. But I'm fine. It barely even hurts." He gave her a sheepish grin. "Does this mean I'm It?"

Kris grinned when Remus said he was ok she smiled when he asked it he was it. "Not yet." She stood up then touched his shoulder and said, "Taggis." She smirked then backed away from him, she wouldn't start running until she knew he was up and ready to run. "Now you're it." She laughed while smiling.

Remus laughed and got to his feet. Rubbing his knees for a second, he made an exaggerated motion as if it hurt to stand. "Ow....." he said. "Maybe I hurt myself worse than I thought...." He took a few steps, limping on one leg.
