Evangeline gave his hand a slight squeeze when he frowned. "Yeah, we'll have fun. The last time I went to Diagon Alley, I think was right before I moved into my house," she said.

Wesley looked over at her and smiled. "Well, it'll be nice to get out and just do something normal. And Natalie hasn't done anything fun in a long time. I can't even recall the last time I heard her laugh. But I think she'll like you."

She returned his smile. "I hope so," said Evangeline. "The registry can survive for one day without me, so it'll be nice to take off of work for a day."

"Well, good, then," Wesley said as they approached the restaurant. "Well, we're here," he said. He walked over and opened the door for her. "After you."

"Thank you," she said with a smile and walking into the restaurant. It was slightly crowded, but there were a few empty tables left. "Where do you want to sit?"

Wesley glanced around. "That table in the back near the kitchen looks good," he said, pointing.

"Alright," said Evangeline. She made her way through the tables and people to the back table. Evangeline took one of the seats at the table. "I haven't really seen this many people in here before."

"Well, it's good for them, I guess," Wesley said. "They must be getting popular." He sat down across from here. "It definitely smells good in here, so that's a good sign."

Evangeline smiled. "Their sandwiches here are pretty good, other than that I'm not sure," she said. "Although, I think I'm going to get something different this time." A waitress had come up and handed them their menus and asked them about drinks. "I'll just take water, what about you Wes?"

Wesley nodded. "Yes, water sounds fine with me, too," he said. He nodded at the waitress. "Thank you." Turning back to Evangeline, he smiled. "It's been a long time since I've done this... just gone out with someone. It feels so... normal."

Evangeline gave him a smile, meeting his eyes. "Glad it feels normal, because I wouldn't want you to feel awkward or anything like that," said Evangeline. She glanced down to her menu slightly flushed, trying to push away the familiar butterflies that she felt during school.

Wesley looked down at his menu. In truth, he was still feeling pretty nervous as well. He wasn't sure quite what to say, and it made him feel as if he were back in school. "Dumbledore sent me a note saying they were going to have a kind of Triwizard Tournament among the houses this year," he commented. "Have you heard anything about that?"

"No, I haven't heard anything about that," said Evangeline. "That should be interesting. What ages is he letting play? Just seventh years?"

"I'm not sure," Wesley said. "He says he intends to make an official announcement about it next week, but he wanted all teachers to be aware of it. I think it will be a nice distraction for the kids... I just hope it will be safe. I know Dumbledore wouldn't intentionally endanger the children, but it seems like anything could happen these days..."

"That's true," agreed Evangeline. "But I think things will go alright. It is good for the students to be able to get excited about something again instead of most of them being gloomy for what happened the past term."

"Yes, I do think you're right about that," Wesley said. "Life must go on, and they've already been through so much. Do you remember when we were in school? We never had to worry about any of these things then. It was so much simpler..."

"Yeah, I remember. You also have to remember, You-know-who, wasn't really around like he is now either," said Evangeline. "Have you read the Daily Prophet? I have a feeling that we're going to be reading about more accidents in the paper from now on."

Tristan walked casually into the restaurant and looked around. Sure enough, there were Evangeline and Wesley, sitting all the way in the back. There was a small table not too far away from them, so Tristan walked over to it and sat down, acting as if he had not seen them.

As Evangeline looked over her menu, someone moving caught her eye, since she was facing the door. She noticed someone familiar, and one of the last people she wanted to see. Evangeline sighed and slid slightly down in her chair. "Oh dear," she whispered. She watched him sit down and then returned her gaze to the menu.

Wesley was staring down at his menu when he heard her whisper something. "What's wrong?" he asked, setting down his menu and looking at her in concern.
