After Emily left her house, she headed to Isa's house, knowing that she could possibly stay there for a few days. She had wiped her eyes from where she had been crying, but she knew that her face was still slightly red from crying. Emily quietly walked up to the door and knocked softly on it, waiting on Isa to answer.

Isabella was surprised to hear a knock on the door. Only a few people were even able to get to the house with all of her protective wards set up--only family and close friends. She had a brief spark of hope that maybe Voltaire had come home, so she rushed to the door and opened it. She managed to smile sincerely when she saw Emily on the other side. "Emily! Hi!" she said. "What brings you over here?"

"Hey Isa," said Emily. "Um, I was wondering if I could possibly stay here for a few days." Emily moved her small bag on her shoulder. "I mean, it's okay if I can't, I just thought I would ask."

"Sure, come on in," Isabella said, stepping aside to let her in. "But why? What happened? Is everything Ok with you and Vincent?"

Emily stepped in. "We got into this argument. He went and punched Jackson one day. But, that wasn't just what the argument was about. I found out the day you had Conor, that I wouldn't be able to have children. I just told Vincent the day you came in the Hog's Head and we talked. I told him after you and Charles left. Ever since then, he's seemed a bit upset. I understand why. I am too, but I've came more to accept my problem than he has. We got in an argument over that, and then I just packed this bag and left. Vincent couldn't figure out why I was leaving for a few days. I swear he's so dense sometimes."

"Oh, Emily... I'm so sorry," Isabella said. "Sit down, will you? Vincent does love you very much, I am sure of that. I'm sure he'll adjust to the idea in time. Are you sure you won't be able to have children?"

Emily walked over to the couch and sat down. "He told me that he didn't really want me to leave, but I had too. I couldn't really stay around and him still upset about it, and him seeming somewhat distant," said Emily. "I will go back in about three days, and see if he's accepted it or not. I really hope so, because I don't like the idea of me leaving him like this, but it's something I had to do." She sighed. "That's what Poppy told me when she scanned me in the back that day. She said I wouldn't be able to have children because of the damage."

"Emily, I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what it must have felt like, to hear that kind of news just after watching me give birth." She sighed heavily. "WEll, you're welcome to stay as long as you like. It's not like I don't have the room. Rori and Anna are away at camp, Voltaire and Conor are... missing... I'll be glad to have the company."

Emily gave Isa a smile. "Thanks Isa," said Emily. "By the way, Vincent said that he would try and talk to Voltaire, but he also said that the people that can probably really get to him are you and Rori."

Isabella nodded. "I hate to involve Rori in any of this... but it might be necessary. I guess I'll have to see what happens after I get Conor back."

"Speaking of that. What was the thing that you were talking about in the Three Broomsticks, but wouldn't tell me there," asked Emily.

Isabella swallowed. "It's... complicated..." She said softly. "I couldn't talk about it there, because someone might hear me... especially Angelique. Do you promise you won't tell anyone, not even Vincent?"

"Yes," said Emily. "I promise I won't tell anyone about it."

Isabella sighed. "All right. I guess... I guess I have to tell someone." She looked away and rubbed her forehead wearily. "Well, I talked to Charles, and he said that Voldemort has been looking for this necklace--a locket that once belonged to Salazar Slytherin. He was apparently desperate for it, and would heavily reward whoever brought it to him. I figured... if I could find it and have Charles give it to him, he would be able to get close to where he's holding Conor, and either take him out of there or bring me to him. So I went to research it... and by sheer chance, I found it. Wesley St. Clare had it... it had been stolen from Craven by his wife Olivia before she was killed... she had hidden it in the forest with instructions for Wesley to discover its true power..." She stopped, as the enormity of what she had done began to strike her again.

Emily didn't know what to say. She knew that what Isabella did was something that she shouldn't have done, but then she was trying to get her son back. "Isa," began Emily. She stopped, because she was at loss for words. Emily knew that Isa would stop at nothing to get Conor back.

Isabella allowed a tear to slip down her cheek. "I just want my baby back," she whispered. "I feel like there's a hole inside me, and I won't feel right until he's back in my arms. So... I stole from Wesley. From someone I consider a friend. Natalie talked me into it, she said it was evil and she wanted it out of the house... but I still shouldn't have done it. I should have destroyed the thing... instead I gave it to Charles..." She broke down and began to cry, covering her face with both hands.

"Isa, don't cry," said Emily hugging her. "That was probably the only way we could have done it. We couldn't have just snuck into the Deatheater Headquarters or something like that, and Charles is the only one that you know in the inside."

Isabella nodded tearfully. "I know... and I guess it's worth it to get my son away from that monster... but I just don't know what that necklace did. What if he uses it to kill more people? Am I sacrificing the rest of the world just to get my son back?"

"Look, let's not worry about that right now. Okay? The most important thing that we have to worry about right now is getting your son back, and then getting Voltaire back to his senses," said Emily. "We'll worry about that other stuff later, alright?"

Isabella wiped at her eyes. "And maybe... maybe when Charles gives Voldemort the locket, he'll tell him what it does and then we can use that information to stop him," she said hopefully. "I just hope this works and I'm able to get Conor back...."
