Voltaire and Isa Dressed and were begining their search for everything bubble would need. They bypassed the main row of shops to see if they could find a shop that had more everyday sort of robes, and of course, many many baby robes. They were lucky enough to come upon a shop. they entered and Voltaire made a direct B line toward a row of light blue robes and sleepers for one month olds. "Look! Isa! it has a Leo on it!" he said holding up a small pale yellow sleeper with a duck on it that quacked.

Isabella walked into the shop, holding Voltaire's hand, and laughed at the look on his face when he went over to the little robes. "Oh, they're adorable!" Isabella said. "But interesting you would go directly for the blue ones and not the pink ones..." she added with a wink.

"What? can you really blame me? and I picked this one! it's yellow! come on!" he said pouting "What if we get all pink and violet ones and we have a boy? We'd have to return everything!" he said trying to sound reasonable.

"But what if we got all blue ones and it's a girl?" she replied rationally. "We should probably stick with yellow and green and avoid pink and blue altogether."

"But what about black? could we get a few black sleepers?" he asked holding up a black bootie with a pale yellow poof on the tip. "Look they are cute!" he said hold both up toward his chin, waving them to and fro.

Isabella frowned disapprovingly. "Do you want to raise our baby to be a little goth child?" she said, her hands on her hips. "No, no black."

**AHEM!!! Goth was started in the late seventies as a break-off of the punk movement! ** "Aw, Not even the booties?" he asked slouching. "what about the Leo sleeper?" he asked dropping the booties and holding up the yellow sleeper. "what about that Dark green robe! look it says it's for three months and up" he said snatching a cute little emerald robe with a frog on it. " See! it's cute." he said not caring that he was getting stared at from a less than enthusiastic husband that was also helping his wife shop for baby clothing.

*Well, it's the 70s...*
"I like those," Isabella said approvingly. "Let's get them. Oh, but what about the little orange one with the kitty on it?" she said, pointing.

**The LATE 70's, closer off toward the 80's, but they always say 70's because of joy division and David bowie coming out with key albums and looks of classic goths...Ugh...this will get long!**
"No! no orange. Orange is a terrible colour!" he said tucking both of the things he chose in his arm. "what about this pretty white one?" he asked pointing at an almost classically cut white outfit. "are you sure about the booties?" he asked again. Meanwhile on the other end of the row, a heavily pregnant woman smacked her husband on the shoulder audibly saying "why can't you be a little more like him!" to which his mumbled reply wasn't heard.

"I don't like the yellow and black combination," Isabella said. "It reminds me of a bumblebee. Have I ever told you I hate bees? The white one is cute. Of course it will get dirty in less than 5 minutes of being worn, but I like it anyway." She looked through another stack of sleepers and produced a tiny sleeper in a leopard print. Do people really dress their babies like this?" she said in horror.

"Well, we Aren't! no animal prints...it's a baby not a cat." he said tucking the white outfit in his arm and picking up a pale green footie pajama. "this one looks like a mint" he said showing it to Isa, it was fleecy and soft. "it would be good on these colder nights and up until early spring...should we get it? Mum told me babies grow fast." he said turning it over again.

"Oh, it's so cute!" Isabella squealed. She hurried over to where he was standing and looked through the stack. "We should get it in a larger size, since we won't need it for a while... this one should do," she said, choosing one. "Oh, can you imagine Bubble being this big?"

Voltaire grinned at the thought "Oh bubble will be walking by this time next year! Can you picture our baby walking and talking? I'm thrilled!" he said grinning. "I should have Bubble's name tattoed on my arm." he said puffing his chest out proudly.

"Oh, I can just see me chasing after Bubble..." Isabella chuckled. "But if you're going to get a name tatooed on your beautiful arm, shouldn't mine be there, too?" she teased, nudging him.

"Of course! but I could have your name tattoed over my heart." he said leaning forward and kissing her quickly. "But I think I could end up covered in tattoes... which is why i've never gotten one before!" he said sheepishly.

Isabella smiled. "You're wonderful, do you know that?" she said. "We need more than this... who knew this would be so hard?" She picked up another sleeper that was white with little yellow stars and moons on it. "What do you think of this one?"

"I like that!" he said offering his arms to it. "We should get some under shirts too, and socks..." he said walking over to where there were some carriages. he picked on and deposited his arm full and then wheeled back toward Isa. "Oh and some hats and blankets!" he said pointing to a neatly folded pile.

Isabella laughed. "You're so cute when you're excited!" she teased, leaning over to kiss him. "Hmmmm... for a blanket, I love that cute little quilt with all the little animals on it!"

"Pefect!" said Voltaire flushing that he obviously was attracting attention from others in the store for the enthusiasm for his child. The husband that was smacked looked moodily in his direction so he took up two of the quilts and stuck them in the carriage. he wheeled over to the bundles of under shirts and socks . he got several of each size going from 'brand new baby' to 5 months. He figured they could return with the baby later. then he saw an adorable wide brimed hat. It was a deep plum and he snatched it and said "What do you think of this?". he honestly didn't know if it was for a girl or boy, but it was the coolest tiny hat he'd had ever seen.

"Awwww," Isabella said, smiling. "That's so cute! I'm sure that will stay on for about 5 minutes, tops, but it's so adorable...." She thought for a minute. "You can get it if you want. Now... we need to stock up on diapers..."
