"That's a great Idea! I really don't want our baby to be afraid of animals." said Voltaire calming down. "So what else do we need? do you think they'd have it here?" he asked trying to get his heart to slow a little more. he scared himself with the teddy bear.

Isabella looked around. "Well, we still need the big things... like a crib and a stroller and a playpen, and a high chair... They don't seem to have those here." She noticed he was looking a bit tense, and although she didn't understand why, she walked over and put her arms around him. "I'm getting a bit nervous, too. And excited. But everything will be fine, you'll see." She gave him a quick kiss. "What do you say we pay for these things and move on to the other stores?"

"Sounds like a good idea... We'll also need a place to put all these things too." he thought as he pushed his carriage to the front of the store to pay. The couple that was there before them, and had subsequently fought over his enthusiasm were in front of them, the husband was sulking and his wife was chatting with the cashier over a pullover with bunny ears. Voltaire leaded over to Isa and whispered "she's one of them that dressed their baby in leopard print."

Isabella giggled. "Don't make fun," she whispered in his ear. "Although, I promise you I will never dress Bubble in bunny ears..." While she was whispering in his ear, she took the opportunity to take a playful nibble.

"Ooo bad Isa, We're in public!" he said flushing to his collar. admittedly he never had let anyone do that sort of thing in public with him. He felt thrilled when Isa did it though. "As long as it's also not heavy lace or pink or some other disgusting colour." he said leaning over and kissing her cheek.

Isabella giggled. "Sorry, I couldn't resist!" She caught the funny look that the other woman was giving him and she tried to be sserious. "Well, you know me... pink and lacy is completely against my nature! I wouldn't dress our baby like that..." she replied.

"Just in case it crossed your mind...I distinctly remember both Rori and Anna BEGGING for pretty pink dressys...I'd show you pictures, but they swore not to show you pictures of me in knee high briches and a short cloak, so they have my word not to show you...but i'm sure my mother would have no qulams.." he said grinning slyly looking at her from the corner of his eye. Mean while the couple of ahead of them finished with their shopping, having several of their items shrunk into bags and boxes. Despite the shirking it was still several bags and boxes.

Isabella smiled. "I don't think I ever begged for anything pink or lacy. Not that it would have mattered what I begged for anyway. Your parents might have spoiled you, but my parents only ever gave me what I needed, and even then, they never seemed happy about it." She sighed and shook her head. "But I'd love to see you in the short pants and coat... I bet you'd be adorable!" she teased as they began piling their purchases up on the counter for payment.

"Well...Mama always said I had a face for the wizarding wireless..." he said blushing at his own bad joke. he helped Isa pile up their purchases to the older witch at the counter who gave them a mothering look.
"You two act like newly weds!" she clucked as she began to bring up their total on a long strip of parchment. "Is this your first baby?" she clucked as she began to shrink down some of their purchases and place them in bags.
Voltaire flushed at the newly weds remark and said "Well, technically yes, we have to older adopted girls." he said looking as the carriage went back to where he grabbed it from.

Isabella smiled. "You'll have to forgive us. It's true, we haven't been married that long," she said. "We're just very excited about the baby, and trying to take advantage of the time we have to ourselves, because when the baby comes, we're going to be very busy!" She put her arm around Voltaire and leaned her head against his arm while the woman ran her wand over each item, causing the price to pop up on the magical cash regsiter.

"Well, I think you two will be just fine! i've never seen a couple behave so sweetly, even the newly weds!" Clucked the witch as she finished tallying everything and shrinking it down and into bags. "There you go sweetheart" she said handing Voltaire the bags of clothing and toys. Voltaire grinned and said "Thank you, So shall we look for a crib and buggy next?" he said to Isa as they waved good bye to the witch and left the store. "Or do you want to get something warm to drink or a bite to eat?" he asked carrying all the bags in one arm and another around Isa's waist.

Isabella smiled. "Well, I admit I'm getting a little achey from all this standing around. It might be a good idea to take a little break," she said. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "What do you think? Are you hungry or do you just want a drink?"

"OK!" Isabella replied. "And I could really go for some of their potato soup... it's always good on a chilly day like today." She looped her arm through his and walked happily at his side.
