Evangeline crossed her arms. "Right, you've been busy at the hospital," said Evangeline, "I'm sure. It's been a little over a week! I'm sure you could have found some time to contact me. But, I guess you were busy with someone else, or I should say, with something else to do so. You know, you're no different from the last guy I dated. You only want one thing, and I guess you were successful, so you have just ignored me."

Tristan sighed. "All right, look. It was fun, Evangeline. And for what it's worth... I did kind of... miss you. But it was time to move on. I'm not the relationship type. I'm not good with commitments. But I'll tell you this.... I'm not seeing anyone else. Not yet." He looked over at Cassidy and grinned. "That is, unless your friend is single..."

Evangeline rolled her eyes. "You stay away from Cassidy," said Evangeline unfolding her arms. "I mean it. She's not for you, and I won't let her go with you anywhere. And she already knows about you, and so will the majority of the women around here."

Tristan shrugged. "Oh, well. I could have had some fun with her... but that's OK. I'll find someone else. Sorry it didn't work out with us, Evangeline. I had a great time... but all good things must come to an end." He turned and walked toward the door, then abruptly turned back and blurted out, "For what it's worth, you were a hard one to leave. I even kinda... miss you." He shook his head and walked out.

"I bet you're sorry," said Evangeline. She watched him leave. "I bet you do kinda miss me," she yelled as he left. Evangeline shook her head and walked back over to Cassidy and ordered another drink. "The nerve," she said angerly.

Cassidy stared after the guy as he left, then turned to Evangeline. "So that was him, huh? I'm so sorry... what a jerk." She hugged her friend. "Did he say anything? Are you OK?"

"Yeah, that was him," said Evangeline. "Yeah, I'm fine. He just made the comment about how he is not the kind for realtionships and commitments. Then he said that he was single, and then he said something about you, but I told him that he was not going to mess with you, because you weren't for him. Then he said too bad, because he could have had fun with you. After that, he said that he was sorry we didn't work out, and that he kind of missed me, then he left," she went on. "Gosh I hate guys like that!"

"Wow, what a jerk!" Cassidy said angrily. "I'm so sorry. That had to be tough. But at least you got a chance to face him and tell him off. I think you needed to do that. Do you need another drink? Or maybe some chocolate or something? I know when I'm upset, I always need chocolate... although I shouldn't. It's not good for my figure. But you're so skinny, a little chocolate wouldn't hurt..."

Evangeline sighed. "I'm going to get drunk if I have another drink, after this one," she said downing the another glass. "Why don't you say we go to and pig out on ice cream for a bit, before I do get drunk, because right now, I'm well on my way of almost there. You don't gain any wait Cass! I've seen you eat and eat, and you never gained a pound!"

"OK. Why don't we go to the little restaurant in town and just get some dessert? Unless you'd rather buy some ice cream in a carton and go back to my place, or to your place and eat it there?" Cassidy smiled. "The only reason I'm not fat is because I exercise. But still... chocolate goes right to my hips."

"Let's go buy two cartons and eat it at your house," said Evangeline. "My house is a complete mess." She took Cassidy's arm in hers. "Ready?" Evangeline laid a few coins on the bar to pay for their stuff.

"That sounds like a good idea," Cassidy said. She quickly added a few coins of her own, then headed for the door with Evangeline. "Let's get out of here."
