Evangeline just got off of work. She had to register about 15 werewolves today, and the day seemed to drag on if that helped anything. To many people were getting bitten these days or there are so many werewolves that have already be bitten, that just have decided to be registered now.
Evangeline ordered a round of butterbeer instead of firewhiskey, because she had to go to work in the morning. Once she sat down, she took in her surroundings. A couple of rowdy looking people in the corner, an old man, and a huge fat man. Not anybody that looked suspicious to say the least. Evangeline had gotten to be where she always takes in her surroundings before she gets to comfortable, because of the werewolf by the name of Fenrir was running around and Lord Voldemort was getting strong. She didn't want to run into anyone on either one's followers and say the wrong thing, because she didn't want any enemies. Evangeline saw that there weren't any suspicious looking people, so she relaxed a little more than what she had been and started to sip on her drink.

Tristan walked into the Hog's Head with his usual confident step. He'd had a busy day at St. Mungo's and was looking forward to a good, stiff drink. Casually he strolled up to the bar and ordered a glass of firewhiskey. As soon as the bartender placed the glass in front of him, he turned and looked around the bar. As usual, the same old ugly people were there... except for one new face. A very pretty young woman caught his eye, and with a cocky grin, he took his glass and walked over to her. "Hey, is this seat taken?" he asked.

Evangeline looked up and shook her head. "Be my guest," she said nodding to the empty seat. Evangeline took a quick notice of his facial expressions and his muscular build. Not half bad, she thought. "Never seen you in here before," she commented.

Tristan took the chair and turned it around before sitting down, so that he could lean forward with his arms against the back of the chair. "Oh, I come in here from time to time," he replied. "I've never seen you here before... I know I would remember a face as pretty as yours."

"Ah, I see," said Evangeline. "I come in here everyday well, maybe everyother day, after work. And, I'm sure you say that to basically all the girls you meet," she said .

Tristan flashed a dazzling grin. "Well, OK, so I do," he replied. "But that doesn't mean that it's not true." He held out his hand. "I'm Tristan. What's your name?"

"I see," said Evangeline laughing. "Nice to meet you Tristan. I'm Evangeline," she said shaking his hand.

"Evangeline," he said, kissing her hand. "What a lovely name. Do you prefer to go by Evangeline, or can I call you Evie?"

"Evangeline. I don't like people I don't really know to call me Evie," she said. "No offense to you or anything. No one at work even calls me that. The last person to call me by that name was my mother and that was about nine years ago," she said slightly blushing as he kissed her hand.

"OK, OK," he said. "Evangeline it is then. I know how it is... some people actually try to call me Tris." He made a face. "Here's an idea. How about we work on getting to know each other well enough that I can call you Evie?" Then he shook his head. "Sorry... I'm coming on a bit too strong, aren't I? You probably want me to leave now, don't you?" He put on a sad expression and started to get up.
(wow, he's slimy....)

(lol)
"No, it's okay, and you were coming on a bit strong," said Evangeline. "But, it's okay. And I rather here you say that, than one of them," she said nodding in the direction of one of the rowdy looking guys. "One of them did that to me the other day," she said shuttering. "Eh, I had nightmares afterwards. But, I don't think I will with your comment," she added with a laugh. "And, it would take you a little while to reach that point of calling me that. And I need more friends than what I have."

Tristan sat down again, smiling. "I'm sorry. Really... I do that sometimes. I think it's just because my line of work is so stressful. I have trouble sometimes relating to people. I see so much illness and death..." he shuddered for effect. "When I'm at work, I have to be totally in control, because people's lives depend on me. So when I'm not at work... well, sometimes I just try a little too hard to be the same way. It's rough, you know?" He took a sip of his firewhiskey, then leaned back slightly. "I didn't tell you what I do, did I? I work at St. Mungo's. I'm the head of the non-Magical Emergencies department."

"I see," said Evangeline. "Well, I don't really get to see much death or illness in my line of work. I get to fill out registration papers all day for werewolves and such. The majority of werewolves however, don't really register like they are supposed too," she said with a shrug. "Head of the non-Magical Emergencies? Impressive. I'm the only registration person in the Ministry, so I guess you could say I'm head of the Registry," she said with a smile.

"Oh, well, that's still impressive," Tristan replied. "And it's an important job. You know, I had a friend back at Hogwarts who was killed in a werewolf attack. The werewolves definitely need to be controlled. I'm glad you're doing your part."

"Yeah, there was a werewolf attack in Diagon Alley. Luckly no kids were there, and no one really got hurt. I mean there was a few broken windows and stuff, but nothing huge," said Evangeline. "Sorry bout your friend. It seems like there are more werewolves everyday. It gets stressful after awhile."

"Wow, really?" Tristan said, trying to sound shocked. "That's terrible. But yeah, it's a good thing no one was really hurt. I wonder why there are so many werewolves right now."

"Well, from what I know, Fenrir Greyback, is starting to make a bigger pack. Other than that, I'm not really sure," said Evangeline with a shrug.

Tristan took another sip. "Fenrir Greyback... I've heard of him. He's pretty powerful, isn't he? Likes to bite little kids? I mean, that's just what I heard..."

"Yeah, pretty much. I guess he rather start his pack young, therefor the younger ones will be more powerful," said Evangeline with a shrug.

"It's a wonder we let guys like that roam around free," said Tristan. "Sometimes we get werewolf attack victims in St. Mungo's. I don't usually deal with them in my department, but my colleagues do. Not all of them are bad, I know... but ones like Greyback make things worse for the rest. Do you meet a lot of them in the registry? What do you do with the ones who don't register?"
