Angelique left her small room in the Three Broomsticks and walked downstairs to the bar. Alastor and Wesley had offered to let her stay with them, but she had declined. She had a feeling the house was going to get very crowded, and she thought that if she stayed in the middle of town, she'd be closer to the action. So she took a seat at the counter and ordered a butterbeer, then looked around to see what was going on.

Emily had left a note on the table telling Vincent that she was going to go out for awhile and she would be back later, before heading out. She made her way to the Three Broomsticks. Everything swimming around in her mind. Isa's baby missing, Isa and Voltiare not being together, her not being able to have a child, and now, Vincent seemed to be upset about it. That of course bothered her, since she never wanted to upset him. Because of all of that, Emily felt like she just needed time alone, and she just needed to get out. When she entered the Three Broomsticks, she took a seat at the counter, next to a dark haired girl. Emily got a glance of her. "Hey, your Angelique, right?"

Angelique looked up to see the blond girl she'd made on her first day in England. "Yeah, I'm Angelique. And you're...." she paused, trying to remember her name. "Emma? No, wait... Emily, right? Vincent's fiancee?" She patted the stool next to hers. "Have a seat. I'll buy you a drink. I'm so bored, it's not even funny..."

"Yeah, that's me," said Emily taking the seat beside her. "Thanks. I'll just take a butterbeer. How have things been going for you?"

Angelique shrugged. "OK, I guess. I found out my brother's alive, but my niece who I never even met, was murdered by a death eater, but other than that, I guess I'm doing OK. How are you?"

"Ah, yes, I heard about that. I'm sorry about that incident," said Emily. "I'm not sure really how things are. I suppose they're okay."

"You're not sure?" Angelique said, puzzled. "Look... I know you barely know me and all, but if you want to talk about something, I'd be glad to listen..."

Emily sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Well, since that attack on the order, I found out that I wouldn't be able to have children. I told Vincent the other day, and since then he hasn't been acting normal. He's seems to be upset about it. That's something I never wanted to do." Emily shook her head. "I'm sorry. I just haven't really been able to talk to anyone about it."

"Oh... wow. I'm so sorry," Angelique said. "I can't really imagine how that must feel. You really love him a lot, don't you?"

"Yeah, I do," said Emily. "But everything will turn out alright in the end, hopefully. But anyway, enough about that. How are you liking your job so far?"

"Well, good luck," Angelique said. "I'm sure that if he really loves you, he'll get over it. After all, you could adopt if you wanted to. The way things are these days, there are bound to be a lot of kids needing homes. From what I could tell, Vincent really loves you a lot. You're lucky to have that. I was going to get married once. It was a few years ago, before I became an Auror. He was killed, and I found out he'd been lying to me all along. He was experimenting with some very dark magic, and he had ties to Voldemort! That's when I knew I wanted to be an auror."

"Ah, Voldemort," said Emily. "I was once a deatheater, but I didn't want to be. I worked for a woman named Delilah Dupree who was a vampire, and I found out that she was my aunt. That group was called the Army of Darkness. It was mostly vampires and werewolves actually. Well, I moved here and I was supposedly part of the deatheaters. I didn't ever want to be what I was. My parents were the ones who made me like that, because that's who they were. I turned against Delilah, and she's dust now, literally. And, now I'm an auror."

"The Army of Darkness?" Angelique repeated. "I've heard of them. My fiancee was one of them, I think. He wasn't a werewolf or vampire, though. I was always trying to investigate them when I was with the American Ministry of Magic, but my boss was always pushing me away from the case. I suspect he was one of them, too... and I know he was a vampire. He openly admitted it. He's the reason I quit working there and came here."

"Yeah, America doesn't have that many aurors, and the ones that are American aurors, they have to be careful, because the vampires and werewolves tend to blend in very easily," said Emily. "If you don't mind me asking, what was his name?"

"Who? My boss?" Angelique asked, twirling a lock of her dark hair around her finger. "His name was Bosley Grimes. We used to have the worst fights... I wanted to investigate the Army of Darkness, and he didn't want me to. One time I threatened to stake him. Finally I realized he was deliberately trying to keep me off the case, so I decided to investigate him instead. When he found out... well, let's just say it ended in me quitting."

"Grimes? I've heard his name before, but I never did meet him. I didn't really know who all was involved in the Army, except for the people I met personally, or I heard who they were," said Emily.

Cassidy walked into the Three Broomsticks and looked around. She was going to meet Evangeline here later, but she was a little early. She walked up to the bar and ordered a butterbeer. As she took a sip from the glass, she noticed Emily chatting with Angelique. She gave them a shy wave.

Emily looked over to see Cassidy. She waved at her and smiled. "Come on over here Cassidy. We're not going to bite," she said pointing to the seat next to her. "I'm sure you already know Angelique."

Cassidy nodded. "Oh, yes... we've met," she said, looking at Angelique. "But you two were in the middle of a conversation... I don't want to interrupt. I'm just meeting a friend here."

"No, it's okay," said Emily. "You weren't really interrupting anything important," she said with a smile. "You can sit with us until your friend arrives. I insist. How have you been Cassidy?"
