"Well... OK, if you're sure," said Cassidy uncertainly. She moved over and sat closer to them. "I guess I'm OK. How are you doing?"

"I guess I can say pretty good," said Emily. She didn't want to go into the whole thing about the baby again. "So how's the case with Tyler going?"

"Not great, actually," Cassidy said. "The third Death Eater in the attack, someone named Nathan, has apparently left town and no one knows where he's gone or if he's coming back. And that article by that Bambi woman just made everything worse." She decided not to mention the part about Vincent punching Tyler.

"I don't like that Bambi woman," said Emily. "I don't even know why she's still working for the Prophet. I'm sorry about that third deatheater. But don't worry Cassidy. I'm sure Tyler's case will turn out okay. I mean you have Dumbledore with you, and I'm willing to say that he's innocent."

"I never even heard of her until this happened, but yeah... I don't like her much, either. Does she just set out to ruin people on purpose?" She shook her head. "Anyway, thanks. I just hope this turns out OK for him.... I don't want him to be punished for something that wasn't his fault."

Emily nodded in agreement. "I don't like the idea of him getting punished for something he didn't do. I think that's what Bambi wants to do anyway. To twist people's words around and make people hate those people, and people would like her for pointing out the so called truth," said Emily. "But then again, that's just my thinking."

"Oh, I hate people like that," Angelique said. "Who is this Bambi, anyway? A reporter? I thought we just had people like that in America..."

"Ackart, is her last name I do believe," said Emily. "Yeah, she's a reporter for the Daily Prophet. I wish they would fire her or something, but then again probably with her stories and such, the Prophet is selling more than ever."

"It's terrible," Cassidy said. "It's like some people just love to see a scandal. They love to tear people down and make them look bad. It's just not right. I could never do that to someone."

"I couldn't do that either," said Emily in agreement. "I don't understand it, but then again I suppose those people who are like that have no lives at all," she said.

"Or maybe they're just not very nice people," Cassidy replied. "Like they hate themselves, so they make themselves feel better by cutting other people down."

"That could be true too," said Emily. "That's just sad though. I sort of feel bad for those people, but then again I don't, because they're the ones that chose to live that way."

Cassidy nodded. "Yeah, really. Anyway, I really hope that stupid article doesn't end up doing any damage to Tyler's case. I even believed it at first... I'm just glad I came to my senses."

"Well, why would he tell the paper that, and not tell you first? I mean you're the one trying to get him out alive," said Emily. "I hope other people see that. I mean if he's trying to get free, they should know that he wouldn't make it public if he really knew what he was doing."

"Right. And that's why I realized it was all a lie. I guess it was my own fault for reading the paper before I'd even finished breakfast. My mind wasn't working right. And I know that if Dumbledore believes him, that has to count for something..."

"Exactly," said Emily. "Sure, Vincent is still unconviced that Tyler was under that curse, but he's just being stubborn as usual," she said. "But other than that I think a lot of people think that he is innocent. I mean, I believe he's innocent, and Dumbledore believes he's innocent. After all, Tyler did duel Dumbledore, and he's had more experience with people underneath the curse."

"Wait a minute," Angelique said. "Are you saying this Tyler guy dueled Dumbledore? In order to do that, he'd pretty much have to be under the curse, wouldn't he? I mean, Dumbledore's like, crazy powerful, right? He's famous, even in America. So to duel him, you'd either have to not be in your right mind, or you'd have to be even more powerful to think you could do it."

"Exactly," Cassidy said. "And Dumbledore knows what a person under the curse looks like... and he was the one who actually removed the curse! If he removed it, then obviously it was there. So clearly, he's innocent," Cassidy said, smiling. "The trouble is getting anyone else to believe it."

Evangeline was running a little later than what she wanted, because she had taken a nap and woke up a little later. She finally made it to the Three Broomsticks. Evangeline noticed a woman she hadn't met before, Emily Alchemia, and Cassidy sitting together at the counter. She walked over and took a seat next to Cassidy. "Hey," she said with a smile. "How's everything?"

Cassidy smiled brightly. "Hey, Evangeline!" she said, taking her friend's hand. "Um, this is Emily Alchemia and Angelique St. Clare. Everyone, this is my friend Evangeline James."
