Doing Homework

Justine sat in the library, staring down at her book. She couldn't seem to concentrate. Since she had started going out with Jason, he was all she could think about. It seemed strange to her, since she'd never exactly been boy-crazy or anything, but somehow she felt different. She had been so used to being alone, and suddenly she had friends, like Rori and Severus, and a boyfriend. And maybe even a sister! Justine still couldn't believe that things seemed to be going so well for her. She was used to feeling negative about everything and she wasn't sure how to take all the good things that had been happening to her. She knew she should enjoy it, but somehow she kept wondering when it was all going to fall apart...

Rori walked into the library, a little less depressed than what she had been. Hanging out with Landon had really done the trick. She spotted Justine sitting alone and walked over to her. "Hey Justine, how are things?"

Justine looked up. "Oh, um, hi, Rori," she said quietly. "I was just thinking. How are you doing today?"

"Better than what I have been recently," said Rori. "So, anything new with you?"
