Sighing heavily as she walked into the trophy room, Esmerelda looked around. There were shining trophies everywhere. She supposed that a student had detention and was made to perform the task of making the trophies spotlessly clean. At this thought, Esmerelda could not help but to let out a small laugh. The dear students would have had to spent the day in detetion doing something boring, something that they had no desire to do. It was sad, almost, but they had to pay the price for breaking the rules. She shook her head and walked even deeper into the room.
She could not help but to wonder where all of the trophies had come from. She also wondered what they had all be earned for. And, as these thoughts continued to roam around inside of her head, she allowed her dark brown eyes to fall upon the plates of the trophies to read the reason for being there as well as the person that earned them. She discovered that some were earned for Quidditch, others for house points, and a handful for special services to the school. Hogwarts sure did have a history, one that was well preserved within this one room, well, somewhat.
Pacing around the room, Esmerelda's heels clicked lightly on the stone floor. She continued to examine the trophies closely. She even bent over to look at a few on the lower levels of the display cabinet. Her wavy mass of hair fell over her shoulder and into her face. She took it and tossed it back over her shoulder and tucked a few rogue pieces behind her ears. Her eyes gazed across the trophies inside the cabinet for mere moments and then moved on to the next ones. The lights from the display cabinets fell upon her tan-colored skin, making it look lighter. It also made her eyes look as if they were a yellow color. There was also a crystal-like reflextion that took Esmerelda a few moments to figure out what it was exactly.
There was a light sound of foot steps at the door. Wondering who it was - teacher or student - Esmerelda turned somewhat quickly. She allowed a smile to spread across her face as she did, not caring who it was. She was willing to talk to anyone at the moment, since she was bored and wanting some company. She looked at the person that was standing in the doorway and spoke, her voice friendly and light.
"Oh, hello." She said with a jolly tone to her voice, her light Spanish accent present in it as well, though the words were not pronounced imporperly. "How are you?"
She never thought about introducing herself to anyone until they asked or she wanted to know what their name was. She just waited for the person to reply to her as she stood there, grasping the sides of her skirt lightly.
