Dumbledore, who was still standing up, turned in the opposite direction of the door. "I am going to speak to Madam Pomfrey and explain why you are leaving early," he said, and walked into the back room, closing the door behind him.

Pearl frowned as she shook herself from her trance.
"Skye, here, let me help you." she said as she moved forward and helped her slowly pull on a shirt over her arms and head.
"You be careful with that human, I don't know... they are all so pushy." she said looking quickly over her shoulder and at the door.

V was surprised but happy when Alastor kissed her. She moved a little closer and kissed him back. When they pulled apart, she looked at him, her eyes wide. "I... I... I can't believe we waited so long to do that..." she gasped.

Zander had stepped aside and pretended to be really interested in a tapestry on the wall, as his sister and Alastor argued. Now he glanced over and noticed they were kissing. He grinned, but turned back to stare at the tapestry and wait for the others to come out.

"That is true, He's Pleasant and serene." said Pearl with a small smile as she really wanted to weep with relief. "To hurry needlessly is to warrant disaster." she looked around her for a pair of pants or something warmer. Injuries usually made one forget how cold or hot the weather really was.

"I can't either." Alastor said amazed that she had let him kiss her. He thought she would slap him or something.
"Um.." He said noticing Zander looking innocently at the tapestry. "Maybe we should've waited until we were alone."

V was still a little stunned, but she glanced over at Zander for a second, then back at Alastor. "No, I... It's OK," she said, blushing. "I think we waited long enough." She turned back to her brother and grinned. "Hey, Zander... I guess we have a lot to talk about, huh?"

I told you about my boys, right?"

"Yeah, I have two boys," Athena said. "Ryan and Andrew. Ryan, the older one, is 5, and Andrew is 3. I actually haven't seen them since all this started. I wanted them to be safe, so they've been with my parents. I miss them..." she added, sighing.

"Listen, man... if you hurt her... You're gonna have to answer to me. Got it?" He kept his tone light, but he was still serious.

"Thanks, Zander," Athena said. "I know... this is all very confusing. So much happening at once. And I think about the boys and how it's been so long since I've seen them and I want to break down, but I know if I do... I can't do what I need to do. We have to find this clue that Olivia left for us in the Forest, so I can go back to the boys, and Alastor can go back to work and taking care of the girls and Wesley..." She stopped. "Oh... I guess that's going to be confusing, too, huh?" She looked at Alastor. "You did a great thing, taking in those girls, but now that Wesley's back... what are you going to do?"
