It was the first day of classes at Hogwarts, but for some reason, it felt different. Larua usually like to do something very easy, very basic on the first day of class. It was to test their knowledge of the school, and even their own little history. She took a seat at the teacher's desk and waited for the students to start piling in.

Natalie shyly walked into her first class, history of magic. She felt a little unsure of herself. She was used to spending her time outdoors, or up in a tree. The big, drafty halls echoed around her, making her feel so small and insignificant. Instead of bright sunlight, all the light came from torches and candles that flickered eerily. Ghosts floated around the halls, passing through the walls without a care in the world. In some ways, Natalie felt like one of them, like she wasn't even really there. And yet, while they floated, she felt weighed down, pressed against the floor. She wondered if she was empathing the spirits of the many thousands of stundents who had passed through these halls during Hogwarts' long history.
As she sat down near the back of the room, Natalie glanced up at her teacher and attempted a slight smile. Maybe her history teacher could tell her some things about this old castle and its history...

Robin was humming to herself as she skipped into the classroom. She was so glad to be back in school. She no longer felt like she belonged at home, back in the muggle world. She was meant to be here, with other wizards and witches like herself. Here she felt at home. She glanced over at her professor and smiled brightly. "Good morning, Professor!" she said in her cheerful voice. She took a seat in the front of the room and began to take out a parchment and quill.

She smiled at the two girls that walked into her class. "Good morning, Robin," she said happily back to the Hufflepuff. Now, if only the rest of the students will get in, it will be better.

Severus entered the class room and went directly to the back. He didn't want to make it seem that he put more effort into this subject than necessary. He was building a reputation. He wanted to be known for more than having his hawkish nose.

Remus walked into History of Magic class and looked around. He didn't see James or Sirius or Peter anywhere. He was feeling pretty depressed as he headed to a seat near the front. he knew that if he didn't sit close to the front, he'd be likely to fall asleep.

Rikanadad walked into the room and stopped trying to figure out where she wanted to set before settling on the back of the classroom, if it got to boring it was less likely that the teacher would notice her lack of involvement or the fact that she was sleeping both of which were very real possibilities. She sat next to Severus, she wasn't sure she knew him or even what his name was but she had seen him around. She flashed him a charming smile as she pulled out quill and parchment "Hey." She said as she leaned slightly towards him and turned in her seat so that she was facing more in his direction then the front of the classroom.

This looked like to be enough to start the class. She stood up and smiled warmly at the students that were sitting in front of her."Okay, let's begin," she said. "I want to start off with something very easy and simple for our first lesson. I want to how much you already know about your school history. Who can name me the four founding members of Hogwarts?"

Lily raised her hand immediately. "Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin," she said in a confident tone.

Severus' interest was peaked at the quick response. Evans' bright hair caught his eye first. He noted how confidant she was and pretty. He smiled a little.

Laura's attention was pulled towards the red-headed student when she started listing the founders. She nodded after she said each one, showing her that they were right. "Well done, Miss Evans," she said, smiling at the student. Then, she turned her attention back to the rest of the class. "And, as if you of you know, each of our houses are named after the founders of this school. Each one of them with a particular characteristics. However, instability soon occured at Hogwarts. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?"
Again, she looked out at the students, waiting for them to respond with the answer.
