Kaden Michaels
Had she been in full possession of her senses, Eleanor would have been very nervous about what she was about to do. Actually, if she had been in her right mind, the events of the evening ahead would likely not be taking place at all. She never would have dared to ask out an auror--not because she thought him above her or because she thought that men should do the asking. She had just always been more interested in having fun, and a guy like Kaden--well, he had the potential to be a keeper. He had all the marks of being an upstanding, gentlemanly sort of guy, and frankly, Eleanor usually thought that type to be a bit boring. But she certainly didn't think he was boring. Maybe it was just the curse talking, but in her eyes, Kaden Matthews was perfect.
She had sent him an invitation by owl--offering to have him over for dinner as "thanks" for his help, and also to ask for an update on her case. So maybe he didn't know this was a date, but it definitely was. And she planned to make it a memorable one.
She had persuaded Nora to go out for the day, and had then proceeded to do more things that were completely out of character for her. First off, she cleaned the entire apartment. In addition, she had also prepared an entire meal of shepherd's pie, side salad, dinner rolls, and for dessert a treacle tart. Since normally, Eleanor couldn't even cook toast without burning it, clearly the curse was now in full control of her, mind and body.
As dinner was finishing up, she went about getting herself ready for the date--showering, fixing her hair, doing her makeup, and slipping into a new dress that she'd bought just for the occasion. It was a daring but subtle red halter dress that wasn't cut too low, but showed off her figure nicely.
She was ready with just a few minutes to spare, and she sat down on the couch to wait for him to arrive.
